Isn't that a quote from an old medieval type film? I'm thinking Robin Hood for some reason.

Not sure about this. Teams usually perform above standard when they've just been promoted which means the players look a lot better than they actually are. The praise DJ Campbell is getting for example is ridiculous. Championship standard at very best.

Walsall Weather Watch / Build-up Thread - Game called off!

Cheer up guys, it hasn't been postponed yet. -
I was p*ssed off then, yes - but the fact that they were allowed to get away with it, only to go back into exactly the same situation has pushed me even further.

Park at Solent Uni, there's never anyone on the gate and if there is it only costs £2.
-
Ah yeah remember that now.

I am beyond thinking this is funny tbh. The news that came out about being unable to afford Hughes and Browns new contracts has really p*ssed me off. No business, small or large, should be allowed to not pay it's taxes. I'm certainly f*cking not given special dispensation when it comes down to this. Getting really, really f*cked off about the whole thing.

We let him go when we got relegated IIRC.

Subtly. But I have no idea, just had a quick look and can't see anything tbh.

Yes, but he's referring to the likes of Forecast and Pulis, I don't think any of us are surprised no-one wanted them.
-
Well you said "sorry fella" as if his opinion was the opposite of yours, when in actual fact he was making exactly the same point.
-
That's what he means by "depends on how we do in the play-offs".
-
I never understood why Pele finds "pear tree" so funny.
-
What a stupid, stupid attitude. How is he in anyway a reject? They did everything they could to keep him, including making stuff up about telling him to resign.

Do gays / lesbians look at their own "bits" and get turned on?

Just a sec, i'll let you know. -
Makes me laugh how these threads are always pulled back up after a defeat, but slide down the forum when we're winning.

Brilliant. Having a go at him because of his name. This place is f*cking absurd sometimes. Have a look through Norwichs, Leeds and Millwalls results from last season, I bet you'll see some odd defeats.
-
Yes it was a poor game, but he has been very good so far this season. People seem to forget or ignore the forward runs, especially down the wing, that he makes. Who would you rather play?

Are we going to be dissapointed in January?
Saint_clark replied to doddisalegend's topic in The Saints
Replace Morgan for Hammond IMO, but when that team plays we're NOT utter ****. -
I honestly have no idea, but then how many shots did any of our team have other than the speculative long range ones from Chamberlain and Hammond?
-
Did you see the game Delldays, or just going from the radio? Because in all honestly I thought he still won a lot of flick ons until it was obvious no other f*cker on the pitch was trying to connect with them, when he stopped trying so hard. It also doesn't help that for some reason he gets no protection from referees, so defenders can clamber all over his shoulders with impunity.

What exactly has Cortese done to NOT have our trust, is what I wanna know. Despite being proven wrong repeatedly, people still seem to choose to believe the media and other chairman rather than trusting ours first.
-
"Meets" was the best word I could think of to describe it. I certainly didn't mean Football Factory kind of meets - just the kind Delldays is referring to. With regards to David Luker, last season at the Leeds and Pompey games 50 complimentary tickets were given to high up member of staff at the club who sold them on to anyone, including opposition fans. These tickets were situated in the Itchen just behind the dug out. I have no idea if it was Luker or someone else in the ticket office, but this was a ridiculous thing to do and I considered writing to the club to ask them if they were happy it was going on.

Isnt it time to name-and-shame "the group behind the scenes" ?
Saint_clark replied to alpine_saint's topic in The Saints
Indeed, but you said Cortese needed to look at who involved the "hangers on" in the first place - but what would that achieve? All those we've mentioned have long gone.
