Sleep Dealer. Well, that was a surprise. The choice. A Spanish Language movie on the TV or the Eng San Marino game. OK it had sub-titles for most of the film (no idea why there were some gaps) A Sci-Fi style attack on globalisation, from the synopsis I thought 2008 - must be some kind of low budget Matrix rip off. Except it starts in the reality of a water starved Mexican Village in Oaxcaca (sp?) and progresses Very very well. A superbly crafted story that is tightly put together on a low budget and well written by Alex Rivera Strangely not only did I enjoy it but so did FMDP. Have to agree with the critics, no idea if it would come up on Sky/Terrestial for you guys but thought provoking/picture painting enough & worth a download with a couple of beers I give it a 6.5/10 seems strange that after such a promising start Alex Rivera has not gone on to bigger & better things

Pap. What you say is correct. I am not debating whether the Law is right or fair and IMHO this is the wrong thread to be doing that. The law IS the law end of. ANY Political Party that wanted to campaign or change the laws relating to the age of Consent would get creamed, it does not just affect Sexual Relations, Could a 16 year old guy get married to a 15 year old girl? So a society with "Christian Values" immediately has a problem trying to pass a law that further undermines "Society". Could that girl have legal rights if she moved into a house owned by a 16 year old boy? (as unlikely as that is but is it a Civil Partnership? Oh and don't think it is only Christian issues here we get loads of horrific stories of kids under 11 or 12 being sold to be a 3rd or 4th wife across the "region" It's a minefield however you try and address it or compare to other countries. Why I said An incident not "a complaint". Which was related to his particular work at a particular time. I do know that the details of what went on were well known in the Care Community and that they were in full support of him at the time, but I don't know any details of the actual complaint(s). It is still VERY different from the Saville allegations which was my point

A fair and legal point to keep in mind. BUT then one has to ask the question. For a man who did so much GOOD - his work at Stoke Manderville helped to raise the profile of that hospital (I had a friend there in the late 70's and visited a couple of times. In those days it was a bunch of old Nissan Huts) and yet that hospital gave rise to the Paralympics and the wonderful scenes in London this summer. IF he is completely innocent, HOW can SO MANY Police Forces have received complaints? 120 cases being investigated? IF he was Innocent then what has prompted such a massive "Attack on his character" Innocent until proven guilty yes. Not even comparing this to a smoking gun. Sorry, meeting a girl in a Members Club in a state with a Drinking Age of 21 and then finding out that they are underage after the event is Illegal. Where a Man abused his position, abused his fame and used OTHER people to Procure DEFENCELESS Young Girls. This is not only about some 15 year old who dresses and looks 18 on ToTP it is about Kids in HOSPITAL BEDS or in Care Homes that (in Jersey) have already been proven to have been Corrupt beyond belief.
