It made it here already. Just on here it came as analysis and speculation making 2+2 equal something. Did that fuel the rumour or was there more? HTH everyone

We (allegedly) dodged a bullet there

JRod started to look like a PL striker on Sunday in the 2nd half, maybe he will actually become one. The shame is it won't make a but of difference because NOT ONLY do the players believe we are one mistake from disaster the moment we kick off, on Sunday the fans at SMS shared the same opinion - and BOY did it show. So no, we'll be dead long before the transfer window
-
Oh, and Jos is doing an astonishingly good impression of Saganowski, even IF he doesn't intend to so him too.
-
SDR, Fox, Puncheon, Chaplow. Then, IF he keeps playing on the left Lallana.

Looking at our performance in isolation...

It was mainly tongue in check Wes. But from his perspective - What could EVER beat managing Barca? Man Utd? Real? trying to rescue Italian soccer single handed? International Teams, let's face it he won't get the England job for the next 2 years, Spain? That is a hell of a task as they have been almost perfect, how can he improve on that? Especially as star players age. Can't see the Germans wanting him So then it comes down to money OR a cause. IF NC really has all the money he could need then he could make a Sales Pitch for the cause of the CL Grail. As of course will the boys down the road from me with Citeh just before the next Transfer Window but that just puts him straight back under supreme pressure and the global spotlight again. Not sure if he still wants that. More likely IMHO to be a successful Italian Manager who understands "The Vision" (not the nob from Swindon although would prefer him to HR) But hey, a quid on Pep wouldn't be a bad punt odds must be awesome and slightly better than Euro Millions

Meh, he suffered from the whole second album syndrome.

Rumours coming in that the central core of PST's bid is in tatters. Apparently Extreme Makeover Home Edition have emailed them today saying that due to Hurricane Sandy there are more urgent needs at home

The one that got me was the 4x4 hitting the Mack truck & simply disintegrating. The first clip is almost Pythonesque in quality and bears no relation to what then follows! -
About the ONLY available Managerial choice I'd accept at this time (who is available) is probably not yet bored with watching Golf. Pep Guardiola But then he has no PL experience so he's no good either

Summary of Nigel's Post-Match interview after Leeds

Nick. I do not EVER want HR near our club in ANY way shape or form. Joe Jordan has proven himself as a number two but we don't need a number two -

Summary of Nigel's Post-Match interview after Leeds

Right. What a great result that was last night, and (IF you are an embattled manager who did not get the players he wanted in the summer) what a perfect way to show "People in Charge" that what they thought was a decent "Squad" are simply a bunch of L1 Journeymen. We need rid of a whole raft of players (including some fans favourites who run around a lot) and we need to bring in players with SOME quality about them. Last night showed once and for all that the kids aren't ready (YET) (apart from JWP) and that SDR should stick to Twitter and hang up his boots. IF there are internal politics going on then last night was the perfect result. Of course, whether that tactic works is as debateable as some of NA's substitution decisions this year. Personally I think NA is the best man in British Football for the job. About the only way I would support his leaving was IF he had really lost the dressing room. Sunday's 2nd half proved that he hasn't Yet -
Ah my take.... Weeeellllll. Thing is having spent so long here I worked out that the worst thing about the UK are Politicians and "The Old School System". I've said it many a time on here, give me a Leader with a Vision for his people than a bunch of muppets who's only mission in life is to say things that persuade a bunch of suckers to let them stay on a gravy train. So you have laws that mean even IF I found out about a D-Notice because I accessed the information out of the UK I still couldn't post about it on a UK run forum. Thing is though we DO see two sides of everything. We see the Beeb/Sky News and the Brit Press - (and as an example, THEIR view on for eg "Israel") and we see the local version. You lot would NEVER understand (you'd argue it was against your freedoms etc) BUT the REAL difference here is we see news. Yes it may have a "censorship" angle, yes it may have a "one sided angle" BUT and here is the rub, we never get Spin. (Example - all those Labour Camp horror stories, they were reported here, no comments were made, they went away, changed the laws and built them accomodation. Sure it is grim by your standards by by the standards of a Mountain Village in Nepal or a slum in Mumbai? It is heaven, as are the wages) You lot? well you get the impartial BBC version, or the Grauniad Version, or The Sun Version. You DON'T get "The News" So what do we think? What I have espoused on here - everything smells murkier than a pcfc takeover. DO we have conflicting theories on events? Hell yes. eg Syria. Assad is an idiot. BUT (and the Brit Press IS starting to give this more coverage) the revolution there is more likely to see Al Qaeda running the country than "The People". Oh yeah they may have a vote (at Gunpoint) and become a Muslim State, but for the heart of Christianity? No, game over, the Christians will all be forced out, the last Aramaic village will be lost and some of the great places in Christianity will be gone to us. Going back to the pre-invasion days when I was lucky enough to meet a lot of the people actually working for PEACEFUL change in that Nation, they were open in their views and debated at length. Yes Sadam was "evil" yet he never killed as many as have been killed since the Invasion. Iraq WAS Secular and safe for Christians, Coptics & Druze as well as Sunni & Shia and Kurds & Arabs. (Yeah it was safe as long as you only spoke indoors of course) BUT if you kept silent you had a life, since the Invasion, even IF you kept silent you ran the risk of being blown up on the way to Church, who WAS actually right in that debate Thing is here we DO have forums now good old 7 Days Letters page (can often be like reading the main board with stupid whingeing Poms & other ex pats complaining this is not Blighty/Aus) BUT the thing is opinion DOES get debated and (many don't believe this) those debates DO impact on new legislation here. Hell, my newco is one example of that. Look. Power ALWAYS corrupts UNLESS you are a special person. As ex pats we get that so much better once we see balanced non politicised media reporting on the UK. Masons, Eton, Old School ties? The Catholic Church? C'mon people, wake up. Saville had POWER and he had friends with POWER. The truth will NOT come out, even IF every file was opened, careers would end unexpectedly, people will fall off ladders or have car crashes in Paris. The rumours will be discredited, Jimmy will be sacrificed *****il the next expose comes along) but the whole mess will always be speculation and D-Notices. FFS ask yourselves - What it would mean to discover that blog was true? Dear Lord, the entire Country could collapse. The US blackmailed UK? So yeah theories make good books that's all that will ever happen. (And back on our side of the street. Yes we will discuss many local issues. Many times we will at stuff. No we will not go and write about it on blogs or forums. We know our place. The difference between us and you lot is you all still THINK you have freedom and "Leaders with Vision" - Conspiracy theories? That's the biggest one - Thought Police - Orwell had it nailed. We understand, we break the rules and discuss matters of no business to us? We get sent somewhere even worse - The UK)

Must have gone overboard on your longboat thread -
OK my input from the Chapel end. He got stick he responded. He did "throw" the bottle and it DID hit someone - There was a steward outside the Chapel before the game with an utterly nutcase Afro style hair. Boruc shaped to throw the bottle "hard and deliberately" and in a manner that appeared to be "threatening" he then simply "grinned" and underhand lobbed it. It hit the Afro hair. To be honest it was travelling SO NOT hard and fast that the Afro Hair man (who had his back to Boruc) wafted his hand as if chasing away a Bee or a Wasp. It was out of order on all sides, BUT The Chapel had been horrified by his slow advance and using knees when he could have picked the ball up early on, and were howling at him for being totally UN committed when he came out to face Defoe before their second goal. Up close he just looked Calamity James Think is. NC will be angry - It doesn't look good for the Brand Image of Sexy Programme Sellers Expect his ass to be kicked really hard

A lot of what is contained in that has been alluded to in a lot of other publications/articles & reports. The speculation/allegations of a D Notice I have alluded to before, Dunblane & NATO links have all seen some comment elsewhere. Going back to that Telegraph link I posted about 10 days ago re the Children's home in Jersey (somebody went at me from a it was ll Masons) it cannot have been. To find childrens' teeth & bones - to not investigate that and to remove Top Cops, - also something that was mentioned yet never followed up - the Sending of kids to the Sailing Club for the rich and famous. (Now who was in power famous and into Sailing and certainly at an Aid level indirectly mentioned in some of this stuff?) Ah that explains everything then...

Adam Blackmore @bigadamsport I believe the Artur Boruc bottle incident at the Chapel End on Sunday is being taken pretty seriously by #saintsfc - doubt he'll be at Leeds

Caught this at Son In Law's pad on Sky + It was like finding an old friend and curling up in the corner of the pub with a pint of real Ale and having a good chin-wag. Was it ground breaking? No Was it as good as the best of the early years? No Are the actors more rounded and set in the roles? Yes Was the whole find the last woman in the universe who wants to **** Rimmer and "Elf & Safety" get in the way totally cliched and gash? Yes Did we laugh at it? Yes Tbh it was a zillion times more funny than Ben Stiller/Vince Vaughan's latest million dollar + to make movie flop The Watch, and I actually laughed more in the 30 mins of the show than I did to Ice Age 4 (excepting the bits with Scrat in them) I'll be getting it downloaded/on DVD and will enjoy it for what it is. 30 minutes of not worrying about the outside world or what some muppet has posted on the main board

While back in UK managed to catch an episode of Red Dwarf X (will comment on it's own thread on that) Also saw the first episode of the final series of Fringe..... Interesting. The reboot of the series was done well in the previous with an "out of order" episode. This new series seems darker, grittier and with what happened to Walter, a damned site nastier/violent. They seem to have changed the lighting and convey an excellent sense of despair at having to live under an Alien Invasion. I enjoyed it, FMDP felt "uneasy" with the new darker nastier version.
