So, by tomorrow, Europe's elite will have to come up with a plan that fundamentally changes the inner workings of the Eurozone. Another core change to the original ideal of the European Union. Legislation continues to bury UK PLC with laws now coming from two sources as fat cats justify their roles by passing new rules that the French ignore & the UK spends a fortune on inspectors to implement. The EU is without a doubt a solid concept. It's adoption of a Single Currency was a wise idea. It was just that the IMPLEMENTATION of the Euro was so fundamentally flawed and much legislation is brought in without thought. And yet, in tumultuous days when the very core of the Eurozone HAS to change in order to survive, debate about what could and should be our role in Europe and how we could influence the greater (ie all) of the EU seems to have been brushed aside in analogies of burning bridges. Surely IF the Eurozone HAS to change then this was also the RIGHT time for a "Rebellion" and for people to look at a greater Holistic approach to changing the EU for the better? But no it became a simple assert Power for National Political purposes issue and screwed up some people's careers. The EU is flawed, the Euro was fatally flawed by the insane National Pride which set the initial exchange rates and then the abject failure of Governance while countries ignored the rules on membership. And yet there is no great vision to make it better. The majority of the population according to last nights' Sky News Polls want out. Don't bame them, because at the MOMENT it is a mess. Let's face it, the only people who have really benefitted from the Euro are the Germans by artificially keeping their currency (and exports) down, no wonder they fight to break their own laws to keep it. Hell even the French are all but screwed now after years of doing well - their banks are a mess. Shame it was just a debate about In or Out (which was ALWAYS going to be to stay IN) and not a wider debate about what the real way to solve the whole mess would be. (eg save Billions a year by cutting the central civil service and costly rules)

Good News Far rather the Youngsters get a full match day treatment and know they are going to start in a game llike this. The game IS still important after all, but not AS important as the league. It means that in the middle of the winter on some horrid windy Tuesday night oop north when Injuries or suspensions could be a factor, at least the kids know what to expect and what is expected of them. Build the experience and have them really up for the game as well. Wise decision again from NA as usual.

But the burden on the forward players is the problem Rotation means Cork & Morgan in CM Lallana just back from a knock most likely only on the bench so the question then is about Lee Holmes. Is HE fit? IF he is then with Guly off the pace we are still short of a RM option Is Dickson back in the frame with Holmes on the left leaving SDR & Forte up front? Nige has to pick the strongest team he can for a tough cup tie BUT he cannot risk losing at home to Boro on Saturday by having MORE players having "I'm tired" days, He said words to that effect after Saturday's game. The biggest test will be whether SDR or DC starts. IF DC starts then we know SDR will play upfront on Saturday with RL No reason the bench should not be RL, AL, Chappers, Fonte & some kids The only way to play Guly is IF he can be rested Saturday the midfield actually looks short of options ATM

OK so thought that Hammond & Cork got overrun in midfield by their pressing, left Guly with tidbits. Chaplow was the only stand out in that mess for me in the bits the stream let me see. That meant no service for RL & DC. Connolly is superb when we are playing the ball around, but not so useful when we need to stand up and fight to play. Perhaps he now needs rotating. KD was his usual self, superb save in the first half. Cork & Fonte both seem to have gone off the boil, but Jos seemed to do a good job. Shame the idiot programmers here decided we couldn't watch it and they showed a THIRD repeat of the Brum Europa League game instead or may have had more insight. BUT before the game I was worried about this game, we've got through it and yet another point. Give the fringe players a run out on Tuesday & rest RL & DC for sure as the Boro game now becomes ANOTHER massive game. Hell of a tough spell of games this, would be awesome to come through unbeaten
