What is REALLY impressing me is how many Saints players there appear to be in every TV shot - we attack we have 5 or 6 they attack we have 6 or 7 So much movement and energy and covering, well impressed
-
Oh dear Great pressure from Southampton Fantastic saves from the Derby Keeper Goaline Scramble Some superb football from Southampton Alps - it is a NEUTRAL television commentator saying this, not us. One of the main reasons we are still behind is that many of our chances are falling to Chaplow's RIGHT foot in the box. He is almost camped in their penalty area. But he is winning far more ball when Derby break than a winger would. Lallana has an ankle injury FFS how many of him are their in the world to buy as cover for when he gets a knock in training.

Alps FFS Click on the link and watch the stream, we are complete quality all across the park, Saints haven't played like this for a Long long time
-
Eric you git. Just noticed the stream is Al Jizz +5 We could have been down the pub watching this Arrrggghhh
-
You missed a good night last night - even Budgie was out again AND he asked about you!
-
Gotta love our bandwidth in judder vision So only 18 minutes gone then
-
Neither can I I only have the radio stream tish boom
-
Look I was 3 minutes late that's all. I got carried away with the Thailand thread & Far East marketing Guy so was making a Tom Yam Gung and had to go to the other fridge to get my Tsing Tao out. FFS let me at least open the tinny before I get googling
-
Saints player comes on line just as they tell us that we were losing Oh great so much for my pre match tactics today Knew I shouldn't have got a hangover last night
-
Perhaps this is a job for the Forum Match Dream Team Old Nick & D_P Think we would be more than capable of finishing off what clotrill started Ah maybe not, I'd need to get my airfare re-imbursed for the interview. Doh, what was I thinking?

My mama always said. Don't feed the troll

What we need to find is a |Russian Speaker, perhaps a legend, English Language skills and maybe even a spell in the country but who has absolutely no experience and is alleged to not be the brightest pebble on the beach. Nope can't think of any Russians fitting that bill. But wait there was a Ukrainian Oh how Corpy would get foamed up over signing Shevchenko

Yeeeaahhh! International Break is nearly over...

Ah memories. I remember the days when I had cash... BD I think it was (before divorce) I also fondly remember Derby Away - was back for the Chris Marsden Day and went up on the train with London Saints... Oh how we laughed, apparently. All I remember was going into the micro-brewery by the station before the game, wearing a condom on my head and being told we'd lost the next morning when I remarkably awoke back in my hotel suite (yeah right 40 quid Paddington B&B) on Sunday morning Damn I wish I was going. Oh no I don't actually. all my old mates in town for a trade show this week so having an early birthday party at Karaoke tonight with Bullfrogs and YIPPEE no Eric for a change. Think The Buggles may get reunited on stage tonight - Karaoke Classic Oh no that means hung over still for the game tomorrow. What we don't want to do is listen to DM with a hang-over -
Huge sighs of relief then - with the transfer window being shut they had no way to sell anyone to avert the (possible) cash flow issues caused by their massive support. This way they can con Forest for enough to pay TBH's wages for another couple of weeks
-
Mind you, I wouldn't be so sure... After all he worked at Plymouth for ages with only an occassional chance of seeing a pay packet. Maybe that could be the overwhelming experience in his favour. (Oh and also, good call, he's not as bad as some make out)
-
Dude. IF it's on telly, we'll be watching the game in a sports bar, NOT the hooker bar. Perhaps you may want to re-think your timings on your semi or you'll be watching it on your fecking own
-
My favourite is that some 30 odd pages ago I posted links to News articles and links to other information AND interviews about CSI & Bompey - but these are made up EVEN though they said it themselves on Telly! Oh and I commented on Renault Williams Sponsorship last year. I then twice asked if any super googlers could go out and find any press releases or any information on that budget that contradicted the information I had found. I was happily open to the fact that the experts down the road would know where to look. Still depsite a reminder, they came up with? Nothing So I quoted my information about their budget and asked for super googlers to try and disprove it. And all the troll does is go on and on and on and on. Still I have learnt one thing, if I'd known I was gonna be waterboarded, I'd have moved to live in Nott Arf pdq - after all they ain't got no water in the loos... Meanwhile. it goes off on one again about our finances DESPITE repeated links being posted to the interview about our finances and to our annual accounts Don't feed the troll Granty it is not worth the hole you burn in the Ozone layer from the use of electricity to publish your reasoned arguments

Mars. Sure you get more with a Snickers, and it is tastier. BUT when you get to "Uncle" age them damned peanuts get stuck in all those annoying gaps in your teeth left by wear and tear. The Mars stickies itself everywhere as well UNLESS it is eaten straight from the fridge, but the damned peanuts.....

Back on topic, an excellent article on the wider implications http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/northamerica/usa/8822785/Hostility-between-Iran-and-Saudi-Arabia-is-going-to-get-worse.html

And there we have it. Who gives the "Palestinian factions" the weapons? They sure don't make them in their villas. And who gives them the meaning reasons and discrimination to continue their armed struggle? Who are ACTUALLY now the most vociferous factions within Israel for the need to expand settlements The entire mess is intractible in the same way that Northern Ireland was during the 70's. There IS no right opnion here, there are only people dying. Currently the choice in Israel is status quo (hell even they are nearly dead) or all out war/genocide. NOBODY has been able to come up with the middle ground. Israel needs more space because of the flood of post Soviet era Eastern European & Russian Jews, they are vocal and impacted Israeli politics. So, the status quo will remain, people's opnions on the right to each group remain polarised and outside influences continue to enjoy their games. Something has to give - Iran is a far more developed nation than it is given credit for and it's people are far more than a bunch of nutters. The Americans cannot stop their support - no President could EVER get elected (or probably even live very long) if he pulled out of support for Israel, Tony Blair was as much use as a fart in a Jacuzzi, which leaves Iran & Syria at the moment. Syria is close to tipping point regionally but in the capital life goes on and that could fester for years. The West cannot INVADE Iran - it is simply too big, and they cannot Bomb it because that will be the end of Big Oil (A dirty bomb into Dharran sees to that, wouldn't need a Nuke) Take the weapons away from one side or the other, then they will talk and MAYBE, some wise man can find that middle ground for a solution. But Tony?? lol

Oh come on. You made one hell of a false assumption there. You assumed that Ho had sanity in the first place in order to have a mental breakdown. So where were we? Snotrill's on the move? or is it a cunning plan to claim expenses for interview travel to help out with the finances? Surely a trip up to the Midlands or Brizzle could bring in as much cash as 5 or 600 extra fans through the gate at the bogof prices they have to charge to get anyone to the games....

Where you read that from yep agree totally. Another madly insane post But it will be relevant one day when the book gets written. Half seen glimpses become snippets. Snippets become trails, trails become new stories. Trouble (and joy) of this thread is knowing which glimpses may lead somewhere. At the moment some of the last few pages indicate that again all is not well. Of course that is total speculation by us, but discount deals, Clotrill in talks. DO those (what are now snippets) lead back to the glimpse that CSI may have only come in with their Bompey Budget? Or was it something else such as - DD failure? Sometimes the glimpse has been spot on - the broke Emirati Al Fahim (not Al Mirage) and of course finding that even the Chamber of Commerce in Saudi had never heard of the billionaire buyer al Mirage. Sometimes the glimpses are way off. Maybe this time also. But so far the past few pages indicate there could be budgetary problems (toilets can be So expensive) If this is the case then maybe one other little glimpse could be waiting in the wings to develop further. (Hell they did talk about it on TV) What IS funny is the way that these glimpses come from the most unexpected areas or sources. A Drunken Jock in a bar last Tuesday watching his team get mullered by Spain. The obvious consoling line was - "Never mind could be worse, you could be a skate" - nearly got me killed - he was, complete with Tattoos to prove it..... And what industry did he work in? Let's call it reverse IT Security. Or maybe I lost the plot
-
But that is the problem. They do not leave things alone. The excuse they have is the defence of the Palestinians. Outside the country they are active in supporting the regime in Syria and in supporting elements of the Palestinians. Their support runs from arms and training through to the aid and education in the refugee camps of southern Lebanon. There were more than enough comments on the Arab Spring threads linking to reports that many of the key clerics or influencers during the Bahrain uprising had links back to Iran. They MEDDLE. It isn't JUST the Yanks & Israelis who do not like this, the locals get hacked off by it as well. In a highly simplistic extreme world, Islam must be everything, no other religion can exist. But then you have the same problem WITHIN Islam, with (in extreme visions) the differing interpretations MUST take precedence. To understand what that means try getting a 50 year old Protestant in Derry to switch to being a Catholic overnight is the best analogy. So it's never JUST about annoying America. They want their version to be the way of Islam. Again, in a simplistic view They want the Holy Sites Mecca, Medina to be controlled by Shia not Wahabi. They give very undercover support to the Shia's in Iraq to "battle" the Sunni's. The Israelis of course keep giving them ammunition and they keep riding in to the rescue of the poor defenceless persecuted Palestinians. There IS a solution. The radical students have grown up, they have seen, like all regimes that the "Poltical Elite" that they installed now live in "luxury" and now still tell them what they can and cannot do. They and their now well educated kids with access to the internet don't LIKE it any more in the same way that you "Westerners" are getting fed up with the way Banking/Politics has screwed up the west. Again, where did the Arab Spring START? Which was the first country to use FB & Twitter to get people onto the streets? - Yes, IRAN They took a fearful battering and in many ways because they were first they lacked some of the self belief that they inspired in later revolutions. The Social Media revolution will not work again, the forces now control it too carefully, BUT as areas of Iran's influence fall as Syria must soon, the day will come when the people will find a way. Iran will NEVER be Westernised, and even with a new regime the Israeli issue HAS to be solved, but it won't have such a nutter in control
-
Uh nope - wrong They invaded the UAE The Tuns. Two Islands in the Gulf. Of no significance to anyone apart from the locals. Like I said in the middle of my post... WHO did they try to blow up? Forget the "other"nutters & the Yanks, the Iranians will continue to jerk tails, but the REAL issue is Saudi and if THAT ever happened, sanctions ain't gonna be the answer and the "Israeli" issue won't help because your oil will be screwed. BUT not one tater on Sky or Beeb has yet made that link because that doesn't make a story the story is the US getting angry.

Could Rickie play for England? Yes Well, let's face it, Nick Easter, Jonhy Wilkinson & the rest were pretty damned awful Joking aside? Still yes. In a team playing the way we do and with Rooney suspended then yes, but playing the way Capello does.... Don't be silly
