There is a very SIMPLE answer to that. They WANTED to buy a football club. They stated they tried others and were successful in getting poopey. This gives everybody as much information as they will ever need in the "debate" They bought the last packet of detergent on the Supermarket shelves. Nothing to do with the laundry, nothing to do with anything other than THEIR egos. If I was a few I would be having sleepless nights simply over the fact that they weren't the "first choice" more than anything else. Budget? they have enough to bumble by this season, bt because they were last choice but they WANTED to run a club, that will determine many important decisions that get made - 140k to improve the krappers.
