  1. I am getting worried that our Solent Commentary team may need therapy, they simply aren't used to watching this sort of stuff they've gone straight through superlatives and into orgasms. Hope they haven't peaked too soon
  2. Yep you want it sent Fed Ex or DHL?
  3. Eric and golf??? Eric's sporting prowess these days is limited to lifting a pint glass of OSH to his mouth, he could be a world champion at that to be fair though.
  4. Fantastic finish from Lallana, Just after DM compares us to Johan cryuff's Dutch team of the 70's Lol
  5. Hahahahahaha Eric forgot to renew his subscription so he only had 3 posts today and used them all up. Our run will continue for another week.... Unfortunately he's almost certainly going to the Burnley match so as he NEVER sees us win, make the most of this happy feeling!
  6. Oh noes Adam beginning to think we are the real deal this season DM agreeing with him Commentator's curse - we're doomed
  7. GOOOOOOOliiiiieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee 2-0
  8. You also know it's gonna end up 3-1 'cos I was too late for the prediction league and that was what I was gonna put in. I was late as I was gonna cook a roast dinner before the later KO. Oh grr arse krap now in trouble as Mrs D_P will be wanting her dinner or I'm gonna miss the second half
  9. OK what idiot told me it was a 5:20 kick off. I tune in just in time for Rickie to get fouled for a penalty
  10. The best thing about this thread is that the You Tube link leads to the goal celebrations... Oh we so have to see these at SMS.... NOT
  11. Big test coming up for CSI. Snottrill clearly has to go. So the big question, will it be a dent in their budget for the year or the brakes on his company car failing as they were filled with cement? We moaned about the split between NC & AP, but NC came out of that by finding us NA. Clearly he had some help with that, good experienced footballing people with a lot of contacts who knew the type of manager they needed for their vision. Time to sit back and see what CSI do, who their friends are, old school or new school. Can they pay him off AND afford a new big bucks name. No idea what'll happen, but I know it's gonna be fun to watch
  12. NC is a Banker. Ain't as if there is too much happening in that industry at the moment, couple of hundred thousand of them out of work world wide at the moment. He sure as sh1t ain't gonna be thinking of going back to his old career at this point in time, Swiss banks ain't flavour of the month and as for EuroZone & Banks... Nopre, he'll have hunkered down and if he keeps things heading the way they are then the Liebherrs money right now is as safe as anything else in the world - for example they could always invest safely in, in, um, er, well in nope, can't think of anything safer right now
  13. to be fair though, there were allegations that one of his bosses wasn't exactly the greatest role model in this respect
  14. I had a bracelet about 4 years ago. One of them coloured bead things. You know what comes next.......... Yep bought it from a Street Vendor outside the Dolphinarium near Ochio Rios while in Jamaica attending a Management Planning Meeting. The string broke about 7 months later & all the beads scattered across the floor in a hotel in Lahore while on a Business Trip. I was upset, it was cool. Your fault, you did ask.
  15. Dubai & cottaging yep found a video link, 500 Dirham fine for speeding.
  16. We've not had much in the way of Eng V India threads this back end of the summer, the effort of the Indians really didn't warrant the effort of typing something. But the new kid last night? Wow. What a knock? (as Bumble would say). Composed, controlled and calm, 40 off 21 balls. From the 5th ball of his innings into the crowd to the two into the river, to his running between the wickets. As International debuts go in any sport it was pretty damned impressive. Hope he can "take it on from here". Oh and of course well done to England, you can only beat what is in front of you, but it will no doubt have made UK Curry nights or Dubai Taxi rides much more fun for the next month or so.
  17. No And holepuncture. FFS we went through the entire how did Al Fahim get pushed to the front of the queue, who out b**s'd Storrie teller ages ago, wasn't being cryptic, just because the troll insists on infecting this thread with aimless repitition no need for us to do it. Thing is the Troll has so many gaps in his recollection & intellect, it's like trying to have a conversation with my ex wife. Even IF I spent hours digging up all the posts, his benefits don't let him afford specsavers so in my excuse that would still make it a waste of effort.
  18. Or to play CF for Stoke City
  19. And here yet again guys evidence that it is nothing more than a Troll. He now cannot even separate his Fahim's from a Faraj Oh yeah Middle East, Saudi, UAE - all the same aren't they. Again, why was one pushed forward by somebody before the other came aboard? Who pulled the strings? Where was the PL's senior officer in all of this? And suddenly a senior PL person comes on board??? Stop staring at the second floor and look at the steps that got you there in the first place.
  20. Absolutely without doubt THE most intelligent post in here for ages. (Agree with the QPR strinker comment totally) FFS we couldn't sign a striker in the summer even for 6 million why on EARTH would we let one go who is scoring goals AND is an integral part of the team. Promotion is worth 60 million. Rickie may not be Rooney/Pele but he is a critical cog in our TEAM at the moment. 5 mil in the bank or the chance of 60 mil at the end of the season? Jeez Too many on here spend too long playing FM
  21. Nope just the good old Brit Press trying to justify their expenses paid trip to New Zealand for 6 weeks. They were allowed out for some beers, went to a well known club which was having a "Dwarf Night" and joined in the fun by posing for photos. Some of the international press bothered to actually quote people in full, and it was more along the lines of entering into the spirit of the occassion. One comment I recall was that the night was aimed at taking the p1ss out of the old Aussies PC fubu of Dwarf Tossing nights. The players helped the club out in terms of marketing as a thanks for hospitality, the press took it a different way. Think the torygraph article had about 300+ comments from Outraged of Osterley. MUCH funnier than the original story! (This post does not reflect any support implied or otherwise of sizeism, or exploitation btw) Just think it was funneh in the same way that the "UPROAR" about bungee jumping England Players was met with "they do far more dangerous things in training" from MJ.
  22. Something I noticed watching QPR's strikers this week and watching bits of highlights with Rickie's goals. Think McGoaldroughts' problem is not one of skill but simply that he isn't a very "intelligent" footballer. Rickie (and DC for that matter) seems to be so much "smarter" on the pitch and if you compare the two players DMG in his lifestyle approach just doesn't seem too sharp a cookie. Watching the QPR strikers - (in a very simplistic manner in a bar without any commentary) all pace and power and coached to perfection but simply not that "spark". Simply think that is DMG's problem, he has the ability, can score goals but just doesn't seem to "get it" (life & football that is). Similar "football intelligence" jibes were made about Theo in his early Arsenil days whereas Oxo was deemed to have a good footballing brain (but a dopey Dad), So maybe the "hate" is more disappointment. DMG should have been much more, he had the ability, but just comes across as being "footballing & life-wise" - thick.
  23. Lad flying over from Germany to UK for the week & making the effort to get to SMS on Sunday. I am SO fecking Jealous, would love to be at a game but marooned here with my crutches for sometime yet. Tough game, looking forward to it, hope we get Cork back into CM but the defence has had a week longer to train together and shouldn't leave quite so many gaps as they did against Forest
  24. You been watching the new season of Survivor or something?
  25. Of course the alternative is possible. Falcondrome were an SPV set up by a Swiss based Investment Fund which had a Falcon in the name and did have money. (Of course SPV's with a dummy front man never get set up in English football do they? Apart from of course the biggest one in England, oh and who was involved in that one? Yep Al Fahim. Standard technique when new owners want to avoid any leaks during the acquisition phase and potentially walk away. Although usually they have real people that would pass FAPP behind them. ) But due to changing circumstances globally they had someone in the forefront who would never have even passed an FAPP in poopey. There were links to articles about this at the time somewhere back in the low hundreds on here. Alternatively to discover how Al Fahim could turn no money into proof of funds into no money back in those days watch Inside Job. Lehmans Bear Sterns & all the others were managing it quite well - it's another angle but Al Fahim was a stooge is a better one. Oh and when the Troll asks his question in the right way (ie showing he understands what he is talking about) he may get an answer but he doesn't and he's a Troll so sod him.
