Dont laugh, i've queued for 45minutes to get into a half empty SMS!!

In all fairness with all the (justified) flack he's taken if i was R.L. i would have released these figures because in all honesty they are beyond comprehension with are revenue stream. L.C. and M.W. rolled the dice and lost. It certainly answers a lot of questions on the reasons why R.L. return. It must have resembled standing by and letting Gary Glitter babesit your favourite niece!!

As much as i loved the old place the move was necessary, but unfortunately with the move we raised our expectations as a club and fanbase to a level which is beyond us. We suddenly thought we could be a big club and the joy of turning over and humbling the big teams in our shed of a ground soon became our minimum expectation when we moved to SMS. We are not a big club and never will be, but we snatched a piece of the dream and thought it would last forever.

Wake up and smell the coffee!! anything else you would like to add to your wish list? Because thats all it is a wish list, if there was someone genuinely interested in SFC and banging on the door of SMS to take over do you honestly think RL would stand in there way? Was Cantona or Beckham bigger than United, was Henry or Vierra bigger than Arsenal NO!! so why is the duck shooter from Withshire bigger than our beloved Saints and those who make RL the excuse for non attendance look again, tell us the footballs shxxe, tell us its too expensive to attend, or tell us the queue for pies are to long but please do not make RL out to be bigger than our football club.

The company your on about belongs to a season ticket holder and the main signage contractor at St Marys. You may have a problem with that one!!

I cant stand the man and i can stand the fact that whenever his C.V. is rolled out his efforts with us are always missing. Why is he held in create esteem? Yes he get results with money but did the wheeling and dealing benefit his various clubs or the man himself. Lets face he is not an honourable man and doesn't have an ethical bone in his body. Turning up to collect to collect his freedom of the city says it all really. I recently booked a table in a very nice and expensive restuarant, a special once every now and then meal. When i sat at the table the man himself with that woman from the Benidorm programme on TV and Kevin Bond and his partner were sat on the next table. I couldn't stand the thought of being in listening distance of the man let alone part with the best part of £200 for the privilege, i made my excuses and left.

Forget the forum this morning, tune into The Quay for some real entertainment!! I think he's bottled it. With the money he's spent down the road and to jump ship to his ''beloved Spurs'' what a joke.

Letting SAGA/DAVIES GO! Is it our biggest mistake?
IN MY DAY replied to SOTONS EAST SIDE's topic in The Saints
Davies is reported to be about to go under the knife again in the papers today, so what use he would have been so far this season is neglible. As for Saga who despite a promising start was turning into Omerod (great tryer but no end result) I think the biggest ask at the moment is youth and experience is not being used. I understand that J.P. set out with a vision but we now need to see if he has a plan B. I'm not jumping on the bandwagon like many on here, i've got patience by the bucket loads with very low expectations of this squad, with a big dollop of hope for the future. But if J.P. wants us all onside he needs to help these lads out with a bit of experience,if and only if they want to wear the shirt, not to criticise as J.P. has started to do post match on the last couple of occasions. -
Not apathetic at all, it just may be that the penny has dropped that a few fans might enjoy there football a whole more when they dont live and breathe there beloved team through this message board.
-
Just for the record what is or was your expectation for the season? Failing takeover any one that managed SFC would have had to lose the high wage earners. I disagree with some, i actually think N.P. was a good manager but he's not with us anymore and wouldnt fit within our wage structure. I'm no lover of R.L. but i've bought into his long term plan and on the whole i've been reasonably encourarged by what i've seen. I'd take a team of young tryers any day over 90% of the games i saw last season at SMS. My expectation this season? Well a comfortable 4th from bottom will do me as these kids come of age everything else will be a bonus.

I cant argue with that U.P. perhaps it was the E-numbers in his boots!! Something stood out like a sore thumb tonight is that BWP is not intelligent enough to play in that team. He was very very poor and did not anticipate anything all night, except the final whistle!
-
Its funny how opinions different, i've just been to probably the most entertaining game at SMS for a very long time and how people still find the negatives in that performance sometimes amazes me. I thought James man was tricky fast and on his game and i thought despite his inexperience coped with the task well. I cant remember seeing such an intelligent performance from a group of young players in such a very long time.As for Kelvin, he was outstanding with two of the saves worldclass. He's taken along time to win over SMS but he was truely outstanding and deserved the applause at the end.

You've just written my post, from being quietly optimistic and generally pleased with the low key determined approach from R.L. i'm beyond rage with the thought of Davies leaving for 1.5M. I am a realist, i know we need money but if R.L. / J.P and good old Barclays plc cant see that to get the boy back on the pitch and performing will increase his value in January to a least 3M+ shows either an even more desperate need for finance than we can comprehend or complete stupidity from all the above mentioned. Madness.

i'm not fussed he's gone but why a loan? Why cant we sell the guy and get a fee rather than dragging his Saints career for another year. I cant believe the guy has the motivation to perform at this level and fear much the same as the Bolton saga, that his reputation is greater than the player himself.

Lowe and WH Ireland: Why the connection is pivitol for our club
IN MY DAY replied to scooby's topic in The Saints
I actually think past forgiven and not fotgotten, that R.L. is doing a good job at the moment under the circumstances, BUT by any stretch of the imagination the above is a truely a blinding post. I personally think that someone should print this off, frame it and present it to the great man himself under some guise of a ''hand of friendship'' from the New Saints Web Forum and while there at it, perhaps they can get a piccy of the Great R.L. licking his balls with satisfaction. -
Interesting thread, i'm totally indifferent to R.L. but if any of the haters can put the past on the back burner for the moment. Do any of the haters believe with the situation we are in at present and quiet determined approach R.L. is taking, that he is doing the good job for this club.
