  2. 1-0 Hooiveld
  3. He's right though. You've turned into a petulant pussy last month or so.
  4. Hasn't been on the bus for a while
  5. That would be real handy for our 28,000 attendances
  6. Forster is the best of all the available UK goalies imo
  7. No I think we've just lost him - no-ones sure where he is.
  8. You wouldn't want him ****ing in your tent.
  9. Bale: Mills told the Evening Standard: "We very much want Bale to stay. If a player is desperate to leave, it's very difficult to force him to stay. "We've seen it in other clubs. Even if he has a contract, you can't force somebody to play for you." http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/tottenham-hotspur/10227746/Gareth-Bale-transfer-we-cant-force-our-star-player-to-stay-says-Tottenham-director.html Joe Allen. Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup says it would be counterproductive to force Joe Allen to stay at the club against his will. Midfielder Allen, 22, is set to finalise his £15m move to Liverpool, where he will be reunited with former Swansea manager Brendan Rodgers. "You can't keep a player who wants to leave," said Laudrup. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/19215804 Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger admits he cannot force Bacary Sagna to agree a new deal, but believes it would be the "wrong" decision for the player were he to leave the Emirates Stadium in the summer. "We won’t make anyone stay who doesn’t want to be at Sevilla. Anyone who wants to walk through the door can do it, though it has to be at our price. http://www.goal.com/en/news/11/transfer-zone/2014/06/04/4859768/we-wont-force-rakitic-to-stay-say-sevilla
  10. I agree the PR wasnt good in the first few months but ultimately it wouldnt have made any difference imo. Pochettino would still have left for Spurs and players would still have left cfor more money. Its interesting that only two managers have actually come in for our players - Man U for Shaw which was no brainer because hes clearly exceptional and Rodgers who has been hoovering everbody up. Withoyut Rodgers and his atttempt to buy 8th place the situation would be very different.
  11. What have the media got to do with it? Do you seriously think some sympathetic press would have convinced players against tripling their wages?
  12. It just bleating and lashing out, "I dont like it, I dont like it" but with zero solutions or ideas of what he would have done different.
  13. Okay enough of the moaning. What should this incompetent board have done different - matched the Liverpool and Man U wage offers or not?
  14. I didnt say its all CL. Its mainly money. What is it exactly you're advocating - pay every first team player £100,000pw to match Liverpool or Man U's offfers? Is that your idea of board incompetence, refusing to bankrupt the club in a vain attempt to match the finacial firepower of cluubs with four times our income?
  15. But you're not looking at both sides, thats the point. Had four or five of our best players been leaving for Stoke or Swansea for the same money or less, thats incompetence. Good players leaving for double the money and CL, its blindingly obvious - or not apparently.
  16. MH17 was built in a diffferent year had a totally different serial number and a different registration number. Apart from those minor details, spooky. http://aviationweek.com/blog/airframe-details-malaysia-airlines-mh17
  17. They're doing to do what we did a few years ago - spending a lot of money acculmulating a shedload of players who wont improve them.
  18. Jeez you know most on this board have lost the plot when Glasgae is the voice of reason.
  19. Why would an English club be offering a South American club 9 million euros for anybody? First rule of rumour mongering is getting the details right.
  20. Its a hard balance to strike. If you have three wantaways what is worse - allowing them to go and removing the spine of the team, or forcing them to stay and creating a nucleus of unrest which saps team spirit?
  21. I went to a grammar school and benefitted from it. I never really considered the imapct of being labelled second rate until recently. Both my kids go to the local junior school. My son (11) is doing just fine - he's really bright and is made more confident by being one of the cleverest in his class. My daughter (9) is funny, witty and a joy to be with but academically she's behind and her confidence is being eroded by being on the "thickies" table. She already is starting to believe she can't learn whats necessary and as her expectations of herself fall so does her achievement. Her previous bouyant joy in life is being eroded. Her mum wants her to go to a local fee paying school which doesn't focus on high pressure hot housing for high exam results like most private schools but instead on small classes of 15 developing each child from whatever standard they're at. I never thought I would, but I'm coming round to the idea. As a parent you do whats best for your child but as a Government you (should) do whats best for a generation.
  22. Massive thunder and fork lightning on Thursday but last night was totally different - tropical type sheet lightning with no thunder here.
  23. Jeez this schtick is dull, older and worse than Rudi Skacel. Why persist? It makes you look a knob, not funny.
  24. Hyperbole. I knew we were missing something today.
