I said ages ago, that this was the case, I was Poo Poo'd on here. There was a little snippit in a continental newspaper that said this was the case. Also something said by NC!, along the lines that all debts were paid by ML.

Watch out for the speed cameras (I kid you not) (4knots:smt103), and the river Icecream boat;). If you are hiring a 6 berth, and you want to fish, you may look into hiring a row boat as well, just a thought, if your budget allows!

This is their second time round in 12 years, do you not agree, that once is folly, twice is sheer criminal. This is just a vehicle to build up massive debts, then call in administrators, kill the debt, then carry on. Most any other business/company, would of been wound up months ago. They were insolvent, and continued to trade, that, I'm led to believe, is against the law. Or so I thought:mad:

Um!, that's not quite right. You can moor for free, on the banks, where it says 'free moorings', but anywhere near habitation, will cost you on the whole. If you want to go to a certain pub, I'd say you need to be tied up by 1400/1500 hrs. Take a Bar-B-Q, have fun.

That said, we enjoyed our five day break.

Some wanted him gone a few months back, some want him gone now, as he 'failed to deliver promotion'. If any manager said he would be here for two years, and promised to deliver the European cup, and a title, then that would do for me.

I hope he's not going to 'recommend' that the only course of action now open to our members, is to strike.

Looks like they have found the land for a new stadium....... Whilst you're all sorting out who's who, in the table of great posting, there remains a small matter of the OP..... News > Pompey 8:20am 24th May 2010. Pompey's propsective new owner Rob Lloyd has said his backers are not prepared to be revealed until a deal is done. The Blues are still in administration and have the potential to lose more points going into The Championship unless a CVA is agreed amongst the creditors. Lloyd said that his consortium is still hoping to take over at Pompey but the people behind it all are to remain anonymous for the time being. I'm in seventh place by the way:D

I guess you are one of those militant, 'I don't care...lets strike anyway' type of people.

nick, did you actually read this:- www.newsoftheworld.co.uk/spor...-COP-QUIZ.html I would think that the FL are fully aware of the ongoing investigations taking place with regards to TCBOCDTR. Whilst I agree, that it looks like no-one is interested, we know the media in this country are like rabid dogs when bad news breaks. So I still think it will be a long summer of discontent for those cheats.

I was told, that the venom of the 'Daddylonglegs', was one of the most deadly in the world, but as it only injects a very small amount, we are unaffected. How true this is, I don't know.

After all the stupid advice you have recieved, the above is the only one you should take notice of. It is said, that when the bees are gone, mankind will die as well.

Ah! memories Published Date: 17 May 2005 POMPEY have vowed not to follow Saints into the type of financial meltdown reaped by relegation. The Blues have pledged not to go into debt to build their Premiership team or a new stadium. Saints have plunged into the Championship with reported debts of £23m on their St Mary's ground. Relegation will cost Saints around £17m in lost Sky revenue, while gates will drop. Chairman Rupert Lowe has been shrewd by inserting a clause in players' contracts to cut wages upon relegation. But he still faces pruning the biggest wage bill and squad of the three relegated clubs. Pompey made a £3m profit last season – and have trimmed an estimated £6m off their annual salaries by releasing 16 players since November. Work is due to start on a new ground in August – with costs offset by the Pompey Village development, Premiership revenue and prudent housekeeping. Blues chief executive Peter Storrie said: 'If you chase dreams and let finances get out of control, you go out of business. 'But if you're clever, that doesn't happen. It all boils down to not getting into debt. You can't spend more than the income coming in. That's why we're trying to make prudent decisions. 'Wages and transfer fees are where the money goes. That's the thing you can't let spiral. The wage bill has to be sensible in relation to the income. 'We're getting the balance right. We brought in too many players in the past, but now were remedying that. 'Chelsea operate with a smaller squad of around 25 players, and we have the same ideals. In the past we've had 44 players.'

I thought it was well documented at the time of the takeover, that we were bought as an investment. Anyone who thinks otherwise, is at best, misguided IMHO. That said, I believe that ML is falling a little bit in love with this wacky club, so I'm hoping he will be around for a few years yet.

Stu, I don't know you, and you don,t know me, and for that I am fairly glad. You have an aggressive approach to debate, and post as if your viewpoint is the right one, and everyone else is wrong. On the above, you state that Liebherr pays NC's wage, you know this for a fact? I'd of thought he was paid by the club! HIS BROTHERS company, are contracted to more than '2 cranes', cast your eyes towards the docks, and count again! As to the reason why he got involved, why Stu, it was fairly well documented at the time of the takeover, straight from the mouth of the man himself. So in your 'game of opinions', I'd suggest that you are a little bit of base. But hey!, don't let that spoil your apparent hatred of all things 'Cortese'. Some on here are never happier, than when they are running down people associated with the club. Thankfully, your are a very, very small minority.

Reading the above, I can see why you identify with the above highlighted statement. I think we can all be accused of that at some point.

Pompey Offer Ten Players New Deals Preparations for Pompey’s 2010/11 season are already underway, as the football club looks to build a strong squad capable of challenging for the Championship title. The football club can confirm it has offered new contracts to influential first-team FA Cup heroes David James, Kanu, Hermann Hreidarsson and Ricardo Rocha. It’s hoped the popular quartet will bring a wealth of experience and strength to the Blues’ side as they seek to return to the Premier League at the first time of asking. A number of Pompey’s rising stars have also been approached with new deals to keep them at Fratton Park. Lennard Sowah, Matt Ritchie and Joel Ward have all been offered contracts, following their impressive breakthroughs at the end of the season. They are joined by fellow youngsters Marlon Pack and Tom Kilbey, along with reserve keeper Jon Stewart. Fratton favourite Linvoy Primus has also been offered a position at the club, following his retirement from football. And Pompey’s coaching staff have identified a number of players in different positions that they would like to bring into the squad, with work ongoing in this area. Loan stars Jamie O’Hara (Tottenham), Hassan Yebda (Benfica), Aruna Dindane (Lens) and Frederic Piquionne (Lyon) all rejoin their parent clubs. Anthony Vanden Borre will also return to Serie A side Genoa, but Pompey are working on a new loan deal that will hopefully allow the defender to be come back to Fratton Park for a further season. Angelos Basinas, Jamie Ashdown, Steve Finnan and OJ Koroma have all been released. Portsmouth FC would like to thank the departing players for their tremendous service to the club during their time on the south coast. How is this possible, have I missed the point where they are now a solvent business, HELLO F.A. are you watching, hey unsecured creditors, are you happy with money being spent on signing on fees, whilst being shafted by a 5p a year deal. This stinks if true, I'm so angry I could burst. Also, I asked this before, and never got a satisfactory answer, and I feel it's important. Someone posted that if one person is paid off in full, then all must be paid in full. Now if Portpin are the company, who now effectively owns Poopey and it's sh1thole stadium, are paying off in full, all unsecured creditors under £2,500. Then surely there is a case for those, with debts owing to them, above this threshold, to demand payment in full. It is not Chainrai paying out of his own pocket as some would believe, but the above company, which he owns. Confused:confused: I am!

You have deduced all of that, out of a few media comments, and dare I say, drink induced debates with your self. I say a career as a detective is out your league. Right, that's the sarcastic reply, which is the norm on here. Seriously, you have read it all wrong IMO. NC is a buisness man, I think he will be head hunted by many a big team, to run things for them, and on that assumption alone, I'd say he knows what he is doing. Again, in my opinion, NC is exactly what is required at Southampton, and if he hurts a few delicate feelings, then tough, he will bring the good times back, if this season gone is any indication. Just hold on, the ride is going to be a Lulu.

Right, before you continue reading, move all drinks away from your keyboard. 51 sean bean fan, 18/05/2010 10:01:51 Thanks and good luck, Avram. He's been a gentleman and an inspiration over the last few months. I thought he might be a good outside bet for the Liverpool job this summer, but perhaps not now. As for the next Pompey manager, it will probably be Paul Groves. There is no money. This is not the only reply, that suggest he could be the next Liverpool manager:smt044

You've said this a dozen times now, on various threads. What are you trying to achieve here, if it's a reaction, you've had several, but is still wild speculation on your part.

The Official Summer Transfers and HCDAJFU Thread
Gingeletiss replied to supersonic's topic in The Saints
Maybe, maybe not, just commenting on what was said by NC when they took over. I think the highlighted part is pertinant. We are debt free, therefore, we can indulge ourselves a little more that most clubs, even some in the premier. However, paying out 1.5M for players from that league, and the wages that go with it, are IMHO, a little bit fanciful, I stand to being correct, and the summers dealings will say a lot methinks. I'd prepare for a few free's and loans though;) -
Bad boy tendencys, if the rumour mill on here is to be believed.

The Official Summer Transfers and HCDAJFU Thread
Gingeletiss replied to supersonic's topic in The Saints
Why do you say that, as it's not really true. All moneys spent on Saints, will be as a result of the revenue module of the club. Our owner is rich, the club is not. Neither are we poor or in debt, but I wish people would stop assuming that ML is going to be dipping into his pocket every five minutes. -
That's what their spokesman said..don't have a Russian accent, do you, perchance?
