So nick, in your world, we would have to withdraw from Scotland, Wales, N Ireland, Falklands, etc etc. As for the ship. These people were warned that they would not be allowed to break the blockade. There was repeated warnings given over the radio to this effect. Those leading these 'Aid Workers' (600+), refused to agree the use of either Egyptian ports, or Israeli ports, they were hell bent on confrontation. So tell me nick, what were the Israelis supposed to do. In my book, they were defending themselves. It was only on the boat with mainly Turkish activists, many of whom were themselves of Palestinian decent, that trouble occurred. Look at the footage from the small vessel alongside. It clearly shows the Commandos abseiling down onto the deck, then being attacked by people with bars etc. One was thrown from the deck, one was shot with his own gun. What would you have them do nick? Can we even conceive what the problems are out there. Are we in any position to lecture them on how to conduct themselves, when we as a nation, interfere in affairs all over the world.

I'm not about to give you a history lesson, it is there for you to research. This, as has already been pointed out, goes back to pre Biblical times. The modern version is that the displaced Jews of Europe, were dumped there after the second world war. They as a people, created a country out of a desert, a piece of land frequented by nomads. They have been under attack ever since, by the Arab country's surrounding them. In all cases, they have been the defender, not the aggressor, even now, they are only defending themselves. All these countrys don't want to beat them, they want to annihilate them, to wipe them from the face of the Earth, the Israelis in return, just want peace.
-
With respect nick, how far back do you want to go, to determine who's entitled to what? The fact is, they and the surrounding country's don't want peace, they want the annihilation of Israel, again, this is Biblical. If Israel was a barren desert, do you still think there would be problems?. I'm not saying that all things Israel is right and just, just that there is a second side to this, that many on here are failing to see.

Just to point out to all you 'do gooders', the group who organised this flotilla of 'humanitarian aid', is a banned terrorised group, who are affiliated with Hamas, and who also decry the right for Israel to exist. They got exactly the respose they wanted, they refused the invitation to dock in Egypt or Israel, to offload their 'aid'. They were hell bent on breaking the blockade, by their own admittance. What were the Israelis supposed to do? Ask yourselves this, if Poopy hated Southampton so much, that they were prepared to fire rockets into our city centre, and send suicide bombers to blow up buses with kids on etc, would you want to protect yourself?

I think this is the key part here. Whilst we all think that Chainrai will remain as 'owner', the clues are pointing towrds the fact that this is a done deal:mad:

People like you make me sick. You'll be at the front of the queue complaining about government not protecting the people of this country, when the terrorists trained in the outback of Afghanistan, come here, and start blowing the sh1t out of our population. Do you really think, that you know better than the war cabinet, the government, and the war office, as to what is best regarding Afghanistan. Do you honestly believe, that they are there, because government feels it's a good learning curve. Get real man, they are there because they have to be, and most western nations, agree with that fact.

Methinks this is the area, that all these creditors need be wary of.... The 20 pence offer is payable over five years, with 75% of unsecured creditors needing to support the CVA. That is 4 pence per year:smt103, will they still exist in five years, once Chainrai has taken what he can, I doubt it. I give it two years under this guise, that is 8p gents, 8 frigging pence in the pound:smt036

I thought they failed to submit them, in fact I'm pretty sure this was the case. Hence, it is one of the main reasons they failed to apply for a European licence, and why they won't get one now, amongst other things
-
Yes, as far as I'm aware.
-
I said ages ago, that this was the case, I was Poo Poo'd on here. There was a little snippit in a continental newspaper that said this was the case. Also something said by NC!, along the lines that all debts were paid by ML.

Watch out for the speed cameras (I kid you not) (4knots:smt103), and the river Icecream boat;). If you are hiring a 6 berth, and you want to fish, you may look into hiring a row boat as well, just a thought, if your budget allows!

This is their second time round in 12 years, do you not agree, that once is folly, twice is sheer criminal. This is just a vehicle to build up massive debts, then call in administrators, kill the debt, then carry on. Most any other business/company, would of been wound up months ago. They were insolvent, and continued to trade, that, I'm led to believe, is against the law. Or so I thought:mad:

Um!, that's not quite right. You can moor for free, on the banks, where it says 'free moorings', but anywhere near habitation, will cost you on the whole. If you want to go to a certain pub, I'd say you need to be tied up by 1400/1500 hrs. Take a Bar-B-Q, have fun.

That said, we enjoyed our five day break.

Some wanted him gone a few months back, some want him gone now, as he 'failed to deliver promotion'. If any manager said he would be here for two years, and promised to deliver the European cup, and a title, then that would do for me.

I hope he's not going to 'recommend' that the only course of action now open to our members, is to strike.

Looks like they have found the land for a new stadium....... Alright so its a Labour supporting paper but if this is true will all the members of the Conservative party be they MP or local councillor resign the party whip?? Whilst you're all sorting out who's who, in the table of great posting, there remains a small matter of the OP..... News > Pompey 8:20am 24th May 2010. Pompey's propsective new owner Rob Lloyd has said his backers are not prepared to be revealed until a deal is done. The Blues are still in administration and have the potential to lose more points going into The Championship unless a CVA is agreed amongst the creditors. Lloyd said that his consortium is still hoping to take over at Pompey but the people behind it all are to remain anonymous for the time being. I'm in seventh place by the way:D

I guess you are one of those militant, 'I don't care...lets strike anyway' type of people.

nick, did you actually read this:- www.newsoftheworld.co.uk/spor...-COP-QUIZ.html I would think that the FL are fully aware of the ongoing investigations taking place with regards to TCBOCDTR. Whilst I agree, that it looks like no-one is interested, we know the media in this country are like rabid dogs when bad news breaks. So I still think it will be a long summer of discontent for those cheats.

I was told, that the venom of the 'Daddylonglegs', was one of the most deadly in the world, but as it only injects a very small amount, we are unaffected. How true this is, I don't know.

After all the stupid advice you have recieved, the above is the only one you should take notice of. It is said, that when the bees are gone, mankind will die as well.

Ah! memories Published Date: 17 May 2005 POMPEY have vowed not to follow Saints into the type of financial meltdown reaped by relegation. The Blues have pledged not to go into debt to build their Premiership team or a new stadium. Saints have plunged into the Championship with reported debts of £23m on their St Mary's ground. Relegation will cost Saints around £17m in lost Sky revenue, while gates will drop. Chairman Rupert Lowe has been shrewd by inserting a clause in players' contracts to cut wages upon relegation. But he still faces pruning the biggest wage bill and squad of the three relegated clubs. Pompey made a £3m profit last season – and have trimmed an estimated £6m off their annual salaries by releasing 16 players since November. Work is due to start on a new ground in August – with costs offset by the Pompey Village development, Premiership revenue and prudent housekeeping. Blues chief executive Peter Storrie said: 'If you chase dreams and let finances get out of control, you go out of business. 'But if you're clever, that doesn't happen. It all boils down to not getting into debt. You can't spend more than the income coming in. That's why we're trying to make prudent decisions. 'Wages and transfer fees are where the money goes. That's the thing you can't let spiral. The wage bill has to be sensible in relation to the income. 'We're getting the balance right. We brought in too many players in the past, but now were remedying that. 'Chelsea operate with a smaller squad of around 25 players, and we have the same ideals. In the past we've had 44 players.'

I thought it was well documented at the time of the takeover, that we were bought as an investment. Anyone who thinks otherwise, is at best, misguided IMHO. That said, I believe that ML is falling a little bit in love with this wacky club, so I'm hoping he will be around for a few years yet.
