  1. Whilst in the armed forces, and serving over seas on 6 month detachments, I still had to pay tax in the UK, on all of my salary. It could be argued, that the Army is an 'international' company IMHO.
  2. Bl00dy hell Nick, welcome to my world:thumbup:
  3. By the time you come back, they will have ceased to exsist as a professional club...that is my hope anyway:smug:
  4. Then there's this:lol: Nigerian international John Utaka will choose between Sunderland, Bolton and Fulham after being told he can leave troubled Portsmouth in a cut-price move. Portsmouth paid Rennes £7million for Utaka, 28, three years ago but he managed only seven Premier League goals. Utaka claims to have had offers also from Cologne and Bayer Leverkusen but wants to stay in England. Utaka said: 'My manager is looking into the offers before him. We have had Sunderland, Fulham and Bolton and some clubs in Germany, Everything is in the air. 'I would like to stay in the Premier League. It is quick, aggressive and direct and there are loads of goals every week. And, yes, the money in England is also good.' Relegated Portsmouth, still in administration, are ready to offload Utaka's £35,000 a week wages for as little as £1m. Icelandic veteran Hermann Hreidarsson , 36, is close to signing a new contract at Fratton Park but will not be able to play until October. Hreidarsson joined Portsmouth three years ago but damaged cruciate knee ligaments in April, ruling him out of action for six months. 5. ..and scoring goals pre season:p
  6. He's a WUM, how many times do people on here need telling.
  7. So lets put to bed, this thought that Poopey will appear in Europe, now that Villarreal have been awarded Real Mallorca's place. Yes AA, Real Mallorca have been chucked out due to financial irregularities, after going into administration. So how the hell do you expect to get a berth in that competition, it beyond reason.
  8. Most here don't have a problem with the 'rules' it's you trying to manipulate them for your own purposes, like, getting rid of players deemed not good enough, them crying to the FL, that you don't have enough. That is once again, blatent cheating by your club.
  9. I haven't fallen off it yet!
  10. A tale of Poopey's Paul Allen! pompeyblue1980 Posted on 21/07/2010 09:20 Totally made up owner rumour Email Message To A Friend | Reply To Message It's a quiet morning at work down the Harbour this morning. And A nice big yacht just pulled into Gunwharf belonging to a fella named Micky Arison who is an Israeli-American businessman and the Chief Executive Officer of Carnival Corporation, the world's largest cruise operator, and owner of the NBA's Miami Heat. and is worth 6.1 billion. See I could get a job at a newspaper making stories up like this. But it is true his yacht has just pulled in though. As I said it's a very slow day on the trains.
  11. A snippet from one of their boards...see highlighted, you couldn't make it up, well they can! synergy User is offline #1 21 Jul 2010 19:26 Complain | Prev | Next | Quote and reply to userReply to user Signed: July 2009 Developments at Fratton Park..... ... Posts: 407 International International Let me start by saying that though only a part-time poster I follow the board closely. The details I'm posting here are provided by bona fide sources. Firstly, David James wants to stay at Fratton Park and wants to give the Club every opportunity to sort out a new contract. However, the Club's present offer is not acceptable to him. A new external team are now dealing with transfers and Peter Storrie is not involved with this group. They are confident of bringing several new players before the season starts. This is under the instructions of AA. The trip to the US which I have to say I find baffling considering our current situation is costing the Club nearly £70,000! The Club hope to gain tax exemption from HMRC for it!! You couldn't make that up. With respect to next season's kit. That will not be ready for sale until at least the start of October. Oh and as deffo has said previously the whole office organisational set up at FP is a complete mess.
  12. Post of this thread........loving it:vuvu:
  13. Is that concerned with a 'K' Oops know...red faced thingy!
  14. ...and not whilst trying to cheat the rules of said embargo, by getting rid of poor players, then claiming you wont have enought men to compete in the league, so now need special dispensation to sign some better ones.
  15. There has been a smell around PCFC for a few years now, with various factions seemingly bending their rules to accommodate the Blue phew. So to see them attempting to flaunt the FL rules, and get away with it, would not be a new experience to them. As to the rest of the footballing public, it is a mystery, perhaps Fred Dinnage has applied a bit of 'HOW' to things!
  16. We're going to Brisbane in September for three weeks, wish I could emigrate, but alas, the age thing precludes us from going. Really looking foward to it.
  17. You haven't missed it, I've been saying this for a while now. The ONLY source that claims it's for image rights, are voices from Poopey. Many on here have said it was a 100% fine levied on them for non-payment.
  18. Wrong, oh so wrong.
  19. You have to laugh, this thought is all over your own boards, but the simple fact is that they are allowed to appeal. You don't want to listen to all that AA tells you, he is another muppet like the Storrie teller, and you lot lap up their every word.
  20. That is totally correct, and that is registered with the court.
  21. Slow typist:cry:
  22. Well, here's a great little read. Bought out before HMRC's challange, but spot on. Well worth a read folks. http://www.salaw.com/publications/articles/beware-the-ides-of-july.html
  23. Sigh!! Andy107 User is offline #1 15 Jul 2010 17:27 Complain | Prev | Next | Quote and reply to userReply to user Signed: June 2008 Can other creditors appeal against HMRC? ... Posts: 151 Academy Academy Is this even feasible? What would happen if the large percentage of creditors who agreed to the CVA appealed against HMRC in court in a seperate case? Could they not argue that HMRC's appeal could jeopardise the money they are owed by the club if the worst happens and we are liquidated?
  24. Next step.....liquidation!
  25. I guess you haven't been following this thread too closely, as you seem to have selective recall;). As we keep saying, 'it's the hope that kills you', and you lot still have hope, and that's the real laugh here:lol:
