Typically, the opponents that have taken points off us this season have had a low "shots on goal" quota, so not really a factor....
-
Think he picked up a knock in a preceding international match IIRC?
-
Yeah, I'm not saying I agree with the decision, just pondering if that's the reason why the penalty was given. (The perils of being the forum's designated "fence-sitter" you see... )

Think the ball hit his arm...?

House! p.s. apologies for my open-mindedness. I appreciate its not really a good fit for this forum

If the thought of that scenario doesn't give the head of Sky Sports an orgasm then I don't know what will... (Apologies for the mental imagery there)

He's almost as consistent as the people that respond to him...

Perhaps there's a logical case for playing Lumley in these remaining games, which avoids the need to drop Bazunu on form alone.... Lumley was Martin's preferred goalkeeper for our cup games. One assumes Martin picked Lumley because he thought he was the best keeper for those type of games.... Given we're now effectively in a "must win" 5 game knock out tournament, wouldn't playing our "best cup goalkeeper" be a logical choice for the remaining games...? #logical (If you're looking in Russ, you can thank me later for this pearl of wisdom )

We've only let in one more goal than the league leaders....

Indeed, although Ipswich are a bit of an outlier in that they've only conceded one goal less than us yet are top of the table. Funny old game...

Love THB's reaction in that video

We're the second highest scorers in the league, so maybe it's the goals we concede that are the bigger deciding factor...? P.s. but I agree, having a decent/fit clinical striker wouldn't be a bad thing!
-
Yeah, fair point
-
Yep, as you say, could actually work in our favour...
-
I'd still go for this line up.... Maybe even give Lumley a crack of the whip (but that won't happen, obviously)
-
Preston will be more dangerous than Watford IMO.... Despite a setback today, they are still within reach of the play-offs, so you'd imagine they'd be busting a gut in their remaining matches.
-
Possibly both! Yep, both Frazer and Gavin always seem to dive over the ball in semi-slow motion. Somewhat bizarre that we seemingly place "ability to play out with ball at feet" as a higher priority in our goalkeeping ability requirements than "shot stopping ability"... Wouldn't it be better to have both attributes as an equally high priority...?

I've been saying for a while now that we should use Brooks more as an impact sub rather than starting him. He does seem to have interfered with our balance and cohesion somewhat since joining... so someone we should have up our sleeve rather than starting, IMO of course.

Cheer up Russ.. we won FFS!

I thought being "tiresome" on here was mandatory....? FWIW, I'm genuinely undecided as to whether we win more often because of Russell or in spite of him. Apologies for posting my random thoughts on an internet football forum, oh wise one...

Didn't you get the memo? We're not allowed to be critical after a win. Keep up!
