All of which makes a mockery of the parachute payment system. The PPs were introduced to help clubs manage premier league running costs in a lower league. That predominantly means running down or paying off player contracts. The fact that Pompey have seemingly chosen to use the PPs for anything BUT clearing off player debts and instead use it to help them avoid relegation and/or secure promotion (how's that going btw?!) says all you need to know about the club. Same old Pompey, always cheating.

Not all fans on here are "real" Saints fans. Shocking revelation I know as it's obviously very difficult to spot the imposters..................

Brave heart salmond announces his vision for Scotland

Might it even be cheaper for the rest of the uk to say to scotland: "ok, you get to keep all that nuclear stuff - do what you want with it coz we're gonna buy ourselves some new stuff"? -
Great read, cheers for posting.

I agree with Pap. The Scottish referendum is a 'win win' for the conservatives. If Scotland votes 'no' then the Tories can be happy that the UK is preserved; if Scotland vote 'yes' then the conservatives are pretty much a shoe-in in rUK elections for the foreseeable future. -
It's actually 23/7 - need my beauty sleep...

Cheers - good read - where do these opposition fans get the time to analyse other sides in such detail?!

http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/pompey-boss-hunt-goes-on-despite-barker-s-crawley-exit-1-5713027 So Barker leaves a club because of a dispute over budget cuts and gets linked to a club with whose finances are constrained by the Football League.... nope, can't see that ever ending in tears, can you...? Bileys Mullet @BileysMullet @pn_neil_allen How long do Pompey have the embargo on paying fees for players ? Neil Allen @pn_neil_allen @BileysMullet I presume until legacy debts are paid off - to football creditors at least. Bileys Mullet @BileysMullet @pn_neil_allen four years !! ? Neil Allen @pn_neil_allen @BileysMullet@gdhawkes Last player compromise was summer 2016, but club looking to settle payments Christmas 2015 last time I heard. Bileys Mullet @BileysMullet @pn_neil_allen @gdhawkes seems odd when parachute payments all in well before then. "I presume"? I thought these journos knew all the facts....? Gary Knox @GaryKnox @pn_neil_allen So you don't actually know anything. More supposition and rumour. Neil Allen @pn_neil_allen @GaryKnox No ‘supposition or rumour’ in there. Thems the facts.
