  1. Richard Barker now showing as favourite (the manager Catlin appointed when he was at Bury). Why would he want to leave a progressive mid-table team in League One for Pompey though? Ah, hang on, I forgot the allure of managing such a massive club with the bestest fans in the world!
  2. Oddschecker ‏@Oddschecker Martin Allen is odds on in places to be next Portsmouth manager. All odds here http://bit.ly/183b15q #pompey Paulo DiCanio - 25/1 If there was a God I'd be praying for that one Redknapp 200/1
  3. Since the day that 'the fans' acquired the club from the administrator - it got signed over to a new company. All of which means they can ditch any bad history associated with the old company yet keep all the good history associated with the football club...
  4. @bigadamsport: Disappointed #pompey board won't speak after making biggest decision of tenure - new era of transparency has clattered the first fence
  5. Sounds like good potential there for spilling the beans on the current regime then... Is it too early to dig out the PTS popcorn animated GIFs yet...?
  6. I've been listening to talksport for best part of an hour and they haven't mentioned the sacking yet. Surely this is the biggest football news of the evening? Can't believe there isn't wall to wall coverage for such a massive story at the biggest fan owned club in the world
  7. Yep, bring back Labour... They would have borrowed less than the Tories over the last 3 years....
  8. Pompey? Fully settle previous contracts...? Just keep an eye out for the "Whittingham: 'I didn't demand full payment because I didn't want to bring down the bestest fan owned club in the world" headline coming to a local rag near you soon...
  9. Altogether now nutjobs... "We told you so (yet again)"
  10. Sssshhhh.... we only mention that when we're having a dig at the Lib Dems as well as the Tories. This is just about Tory bashing so we'll leave the Lib Dems out of this one thank you very much....
  11. Whittingham sacked...
  12. So what should the coalition government have spent less on over the last 3 years to bring spending back down to the halcyon days of Labour borrowing c.1997 - 2010? Btw, if I had won the lottery in 1997 and it took me 13 years to spend all my winnings, I'd hazard a guess that my borrowing levels since 2010 would be higher than they were between 1997 and 2010. #yetmoretrouserswhataboutery
  13. So, in summary, we've no idea whether Labour would have borrowed at a greater or lesser rate than the coalition government have had to over the last 3 years?
  14. Bugger. Forgot they went on sale today
  15. How much would Labour have needed to borrow over the last 3 years to uphold their 2010 election pledges? #comparinglikewithlike
  16. Nice effort but they've still got some way to go to beat our levels of obsession
  17. Dodgy Trousers logic alert.... I'd be tempted to change things around a bit for this game (up front). Most people won't expect us to win this one anyway and, to me, its an ideal opportunity to try out the Gaston - Osvaldo combo for a large chunk of the game (for the first time this season?). Arguably, Chelsea is a team that the likes of Gaston and Osvaldo will be more 'at home' playing against... So, despite putting my head above the SWF thought police parapet, here's what I'd go for... Boruc Clyne - Fonte - Lovren - Shaw Wanyama - Schneiderlin JWP - Ramirez - Lallana Osvaldo Subs: K Davis, Chambers, Yoshida, Cork (if fit) / Reed (if not), S Davis, Lambert, Rodriguez Fire away...
  18. And so it begins... http://www.caughtoffside.com/2013/11/25/southmpton-boss-mauricio-pochettino-lined-up-as-potential-replacement-for-tottenham-manager-andre-villas-boas/
  19. 6-0 to Chelsea Pochettino sacked Cortese quits and the Liebherrs sell up Successive relegations to League Two Lose 3-0 to Pompey in south coast derby Rupert Lowe returns with Pootvliet to rescue the club
  20. @pn_neil_allen: Some wonderful comments on here tonight about #Pompey v AC Milan. Not quite so on The News’ website though….. http://t.co/kAuYwgwMeG @RussUnderhill: @pn_neil_allen Haha that's brilliant, you'd think their Saturday nights would be a bit less sad @pn_neil_allen: @RussUnderhill Tragic really. What an obsession to have.
  21. I feel your pain mate. I've had to feign an illness the last 3 weeks as I couldn't face going into work and being the laughing stock of the office.
  22. What odds can I get on that dude?
  23. Might be worth him picking up a booking 'accidentally on purpose' at Chelsea next week so that he misses the Villa game rather than risk missing the Man City, Newcastle or Spurs games...
