  1. http://www.sportsmole.co.uk/football/southampton/relegation-battle/news/lallana-hails-pochettino-impact_78404.html
  2. I know it's The Sun but does the penultimate paragraph in this article clarify the situation with regards Chainrai's right to appeal the decision? They appear to be saying he does, which is surely what he'll do if it gets to that point? http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/4877554/Portsmouth-fans-in-court-D-day.html And the comment under the article picks up nicely on the continued media love in with a potential "fan owned" club...
  3. Because he's running it like a business rather than a football club? That's where most chairmen go wrong....they try to run football clubs like football clubs...
  4. Ashley Brown ‏@AshBeen232m Big week ahead for PFC. So many people have played a part in getting this far and ensuring we still have a PFC to support Yes Mr Brown... you do indeed owe a great deal to the many creditors who have waved goodbye to c.£150m to keep plucky old Pompey alive...
  5. I guess your referring to his comment about Ramirez? Gaston is one of those players that, from a fans' perspective can be frustrating, but someone looking from the outside in will tend to focus on his good points. The closing paragraph of that article is probably worthy of a quote on here... "It is perhaps a lesson to all of us that consensus, even an almost unanimous consensus, isn’t always to be relied upon. Cortese made a big decision, a very harsh decision, but it paid off. It’s hard not to feel sorry for Adkins, but Pochettino appears to be taking Southampton to the next level. We were quick enough to tell Cortese when we thought he was wrong. It’s only fair that we acknowledge that he might actually have been right."
  6. A slight tangent but...Manager talking out of his hat shocker... http://www.goal.com/en/news/9/england/2013/04/08/3886768/mancini-manchester-united-get-easy-ride-against-scared I can think of one team that hasn't played "very soft" against Man Utd this season...
  7. Is that guaranteed?
  8. @pn_neil_allen: The High Court case & procedure explained. Hopefully makes things a bit clearer for #Pompey fans! (Saturday's column) http://t.co/PoKjnL1cxJ
  9. That's my hunch too. Plus fast tracking two or three from the U18/U21 squads. Rowe, Chambers and Isgrove maybe.
  10. Wigan equalise!!!!!
  11. Wigan free kick on edge of box
  12. QPR lead!! What a goal!
  13. Wigan go close. Great save (although straight at the keeper)
  14. QPR free kick in dangerous position Over the bar
  15. And, of course, it was the clinging onto relatively high wage earners such as Norris that made their financial predicament even worse come the start of this season. Carlsberg don't do shortsighted football fans, but if they did...
  16. Apart from those of us that predicted an 8th place finish of course...
  17. I know, but a draw wouldn't have shut that particular door though, and to see Newcastle struggle is quite an amusing spectator sport too...
  18. I don't whether to laugh or feel sorry for them...
  19. @Daisybirthwinch (Claire Norris): Ha ha Can't believe how many times I've been wished happy #davidnorrisday I think it will always be his favourite goal of his career #Pompey
  20. Small club syndrome alert... @pn_neil_allen: RT @alexread11: Happy #DavidNorrisDay everyone! #Pompey http://t.co/6QWMZWMPkI
