How would we verify the hoax busting mission wasn't a hoax?
  2. Another eloquent retort from the intellectual depths of the Portsmouth News comments section.... Yep, feel very very sorry for us.....life is so dull at the moment....

I've seen some close up photos of Japan and Japanese things and Japanese people so I can vouch that it probably exists. Just a shame we don't have a similar number of modern day close-up photographs of what's on the moon's surface. Here's hoping someone events a camera and a lens sometime soon that's good enough to take close up photos of something that is 238,855 miles away so we can sweep aside these foolish conspiracies....
  4. Yeah, so would most of us....but, according to the Pompey intelligentsia, that's called "giving up" or "not trying"....like what us "scummers" did in 2009.... I've said it before, but I still don't get how trying to keep a terminally ill mongrel alive is somehow more noble than putting it to sleep and starting again with a pedigree puppy...
  5. Their plan has a 75% conversion rate (IIRC). So, yep, my interpretation of the FL statement this week is that the PDT have to stick to that figure rather than attempt to make up any shortfall from 'other sources'...
  6. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-20680442 Bombardier wins £106m contract Train-maker Bombardier has won a £106m contract to maintain Virgin trains on the West Coast Main Line. It extends a current deal to 2016, with work mainly carried out at its depot in Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire, where it employs 360 people. Bombardier said it would allow the company to continue its "strong relationship" with Virgin.

Assuming people believed them of course....just look at the trouble Pap is having convincing people it was fake... some would argue that it's the very fact that no-one 'broke cover' that reinforces the theory that it never happened....
  10. We're gonna have a collection of 91 photos of Pompey's massive ™ gathering at every League club at this rate...... then we can start a non-League collection....
  11. Was mainly tongue in cheek but having a key player injured might change our transfer strategy...

I thought we had big super dooper telephoto lens cameras these days that can take detailed photos of galaxies millions of light years away? Surely a close up of each landing site a few miles away isn't beyond modern technology these days?
  15. Or a blessing in disguise if it sets Cortese's sights higher in the January transfer window than he might have done otherwise...

Is there any reason why I've never seen any modern day photos of the moon landing sites?
  18. So he'll be fit for at least the last game of the season then...?
