  1. It's a tough old life being a journalist...printing stuff on the basis of probability... :-)
  2. Saw this posted by an SNP activist on Facebook earlier....
  3. You know that, we know that.....but just watch the media expand their ill-informed "Plucky Pompey" mantra over the coming weeks and months...
  4. Yep Nope Delicious paradox, isn't it?
  5. When I do team sheets on the build-up thread I tend to put out the team I'd like to see rather than what I think Adkins will go with. I'd like to see what Boruc has got to offer sooner rather than later although I suspect Adkins will try him out vs Leeds next week rather than at West Ham.
  6. Ok. Just trying to be helpful. Never mind.
  7. I was only a factor of 10 out....easily done when one's brain has been well and truely (un)washed by Pompey financial shenanigans over the years...
  8. Which is why it suggested to me that it wasn't "as advertised"....i.e. why would they be surprised at what they got if it was clearly advertised what they were supposed to be getting for their money (it's also unlawful to misrepresent a product or service in the advertising for it). Either they got what they were led to believe they would get for their money or they didn't.
  9. I'm a strange bloke. Why did they splash out for something that was described as "utterly pathetic for the money"? Not that seems "strange"...
  10. I see Guly has been training with York City this week... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/19996903
  11. What happened when your friends wrote to the club demanding a refund citing standard consumer law (I.e. goods or services have to be "as described" and "of merchantable quality". If they are delivering a service that is not as advertised then they are breaking the law. ( I'm not defending the service as it does indeed sound poor - it just sounds like Trading Standards ought to be involved )
  12. I've lost count to be honest. Maybe I should stick to the generic term of "peanuts" rather than try and keep track of the finances in Pompey la la Land

  15. Richard Keys: "Has anyone thought about paying back the £65million yet?" Cue lots of laughter and chuckles from Mssrs Keys, Gray and Farmery. Yes chaps, it's a laughing matter isn't it?
  16. "If we get Portpin's agreement we can tie this up pretty quickly"
  17. "Creditors can be assured they'll get what they're owed".....yeah, all 4% of c.£150,000,000. Well done Pompey.
  18. So, no more buying FA Cup wins, and 4-1 'famous victories' against local teams two divisions below you (not forgetting last minute equalisers), with money you haven't got then? Where's the fun in that?
  19. Wouldn't surprise me. He'll be back before Lee at this rate...
  20. @pn_neil_allen: On talkSport, Danny Kelly has always treated #Pompey with respect. Unlike some. Here he interviews me last night. http://t.co/hxTDJvo5
  21. Pants
  22. The PCC loan offer was conditional on there being no other bids on the table. There is at least one other bid still on the table (as far as we know) ergo the PCC are under no obligation to trigger the loan...
  23. Neil Allen just been on TalkSport blabbing on about how wonderful everything suddenly is and how hard done by Pompey have been over the last few years. Danny Kelly fawning over every word. Sick bucket and a wet flannel for Trousers please!
  24. @bobbeech: I've had calls texts & emails from Hammers, Millwall Spurs fans & even a scummer congratulating Pompey on todays news
  25. There's more u-turns left in this saga than a Tory manifesto!
