  1. Looks like Birch has booked the venue for the liquidation party then... http://www.portsmouthfc.co.uk/LatestNews/news/Victory-Bar-Closure-On-December-15-3804.aspx
  2. Go on, you know you want to... @officialpompey: Take the Fratton Park stadium tour this Sunday: http://t.co/9KqV89IW #pompey "All guests will receive a tour certificate and opportunity to have their photo taken with a full-size replica of the FA Cup." All proceeds to the creditors who are owed c.£150m due to Pompey cheating their way to the cup final (and beyond) no doubt?
  3. Lee playing football full-stop would be a good idea
  4. Portsmouth FC ‏@officialpompey Christmas party bookings at Fratton Park are still being taken. Please visit http://www.portsmouthfc.co.uk/commercial/christmas.aspx … or call 023 9277 855 for more information
  5. Graeme Bailey ‏@SkyGraemeBailey PSV Eindhoven star Jeremain Lens admits that he is looking to secure a move to a major league next summer.http://www1.skysports.com/football/teams/psveindhoven …
  6. Unless inciting something illegal, sure all views are "legitimate"? I don't agree with Johnson but it's a valid opinion.
  7. That's a bit like crediting Icarus with building the first aeroplane....
  8. http://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/portsmouth/fb_news.php?storyid=18396&title=hall_right_now:_portpin_will_take_over_pompey_-_andronikou Erm...fees they are entitled to in law you mean Mr Andronikou? Good luck with that one...(would explain why Birch has gone to ground if there's a legal dispute brewing re: PKF fees...)
  9. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-19962844 John Mcyintyre, London emails: Absolute double standards! Babar Ahmed was held with no evidence for the last seven years and was extradited. What is this Home Secretary playing at? She is giving the wrong messages, namely if you are a muslim you will be extradited (even if there is no evidence against you,) but if you are a white caucasion you are safe from extradition!.

  11. Just watching it on BBC Parliament. Every MP bar Alan Johnson in agreement. Johnson accused May of making a decision that was in the best interests for her party not for the country....
  12. BBC Breaking News ‏@BBCBreaking Computer hacker #GaryMcKinnon will not be extradited to US, due to risk he would end his own life - UK home secretary http://bbc.in/T7U72K
  13. When interviewed yesterday, our Prime Minister said "This is as important for the UK as a whole as it is for Scotland" (I've paraphrased his actual words). I agree with you Mr Cameron...the future of the United Kingdom matters as much to me as it does to someone from Scotland. I'm not saying that Scots should be denied a referendum on what they believe should happen to Scotland, I'm simply saying that there should be a parallel or pre-emptive referendum asking the rest of the UK what they would like to see happen to their country. I actually think Cameron has missed a trick here.....as well as granting the Scots a referendum on separation in 2014 he should have set in motion a referendum for the UK as a whole for 2013 asking everyone (Scots included) whether they want to keep the Union or break it up.

  17. Yep, I read that somewhere last week
  18. http://m.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/cup-of-nations-heartache-for-dumbuya-1-4369337 And there was me thinking the players were only on a monthly 'contract'. Pompeyland talking as if the players are there for the long term. Same old Pompey "business as usual" mentality... I would have thought clubs will be queuing up to take the international stars off Pompey's hands in January. It's not as if Pompey can offer them a better deal financially...doh...
  19. Agent Kanu spotted in Nigeria... http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2886/africa/2012/10/15/3452233/former-arsenal-and-portsmouth-striker-kanu-thrilled-with The 36-year-old told Goal.com: "It is an honour to witness this match."
  20. Nigel said about 6 weeks ago that he would be back in 2 weeks. Make of that what you will...
  21. Good news....that means he's 'fit and proper' to take over again after all....bring it on!
  22. As holepuncture suggests above, how could they sack Lampitt (if indeed that's what happened) if they weren't "in control" of the club? The fact that they needed Lampitt to sign off the paperwork suggests to me that was just a legal formality (if they were acting as 'shadow' owners of the company)
