  1. Paying to have a poo used to be commonplace when I were a lad. Remember those toilet doors with a coin slot on them? So if that nasty Mr Cortese was to do this he would be resurrecting a much loved British tradition of 'spending a penny'. Turns out he's a nostalgic old fool after all :-)
  2. Meanwhile....back in the time-stretching world of PKF... http://m.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/portpin-comeback-it-s-a-no-for-2-700-fans-1-4336756 Btw, I trust ( ) that they weeded out the duplicates and toast related spoofs from that list of "thousands" of signatories?
  3. No worries m'lud :-)
  4. Ah....ignore my last missive Phil...I see what your game is now.... ;-)
  5. FFS Phil...do us a favour and take your rational thinking elsewhere. I was rather enjoying the ignorance on display from our friends down the road. Now you've infiltrated that with some intellectual explanation it's gonna shut the buffoons up again for a few weeks. Jesus wept. I pay £5 a year for the privilege of watching the 'blue phew' making arses of themselves on here, not for them to curl up in balls of silent ignorance for weeks on end. Sort it out FFS.
  6. Can anyone recommend a decent fletcher in the area? I need my fletchings replaced. Cheers
  7. Janet Street Porter was on Question Time just now saying that she "knew what was going on in BBC dressing rooms in the 70s and 80s, as did many others" but that they never raised it with the relevant management or authorities as they knew they wouldn't be taken seriously. I can see this one growing exponentially over the coming days/weeks.
  8. Talking of ex-posters throwing their toys out of their pram....sounds like Appy isn't happy for a change... @pn_jordan_cross: In The News tomorrow, Appy's blunt message to the league, latest on Thomas' future, McLeod on his #MKDons return plus all the other preview.
  9. I take it they haven't got their speed typist on the case? :-)
  10. I've not done it primarily for interest rate reasons (unless there's a 0% interest promotion). I do it to preserve my savings. Yes, I could spend, say, £1000 of my savings and pay it back into my account, at the same sort of pace that I would have paid the loan at, but sometimes it's simply more convenient to take out a loan, especially when the money is in a minimum notice savings account in order to attract higher rates of interest in the first place... The bottom line is we simply don't know why Cortese has gone down the loan route on this occasion. The reason could be completely logical or it could be more sinister. We could spend 50 page speculating which and still be none the wiser.
  11. I've taken out loans to buy things when I've already got the money in a savings account that I could have used to buy the items outright. Nothing unusual in borrowing money to preserve your savings.
  12. Or maybe offering up more security lowers the interest rate? Who knows...
  13. Rallyboy old chap....any chance you could donate some of your spare sperm to Lady Trousers? We'd like to have your babies.
  14. I doff my cap to you too sir. A good team effort!
  15. I've been bashing my head against a brick wall for best part of 10 pages trying to explain this simple concept but you've articulated it a lot better than I've been able to do. Cheers!
  16. Another professionally produced pre-match press conference video with Appy.... http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/michael-appleton-s-pompey-press-conference-pre-mk-dons-1-4334959 Their tactics seems to be in a heap on the floor....
  17. @pn_Rory_McKeown: Administrators play down talk of Fratton Park land sale: http://t.co/mPBLw1dW #pompey
  18. Maybe we still do.... Taking out a short term loan on favourable terms might be a more prudent fiscal move than taking some of the stuffing out of your cushion. If you keep taking the stuffing out of your cushion then you won't end up with a very plump cushion.
  19. We don't know whether or not he has changed his philosophy yet. Committing to a 'philosophy' is a long term mental investment. If this loan is merely a short term vehicle to get the club to the position where Cortese's long term philosophy can be realised then it is simply a means to an end, not a change in overall philosophy.
  20. @TonyHusbandBBC: RT @NabilHassan79: Portco Ltd, the company interested in buying #Pompey, claim they have bought the land surrounding Fratton Park off Sacha Gaydamak. @TonyHusbandBBC: RT @NabilHassan79: #pompey administrators PKF have just told me they do not believe Portco's claims that they have bought Gaydamak's around FP to be true. @pn_Rory_McKeown: Administrators of Miland Development Ltd tell me there has been no sale of land surrounding Fratton Park. #Pompey
