My analogy (poor or otherwise as it may be) wasn't about the IT industry per se - my focus was on 'programme and project management philosophies' which I'm sure are largely industry agnostic. The IT thing was my backdrop of choice 'cause its what I'm used to. It's just one man's observation so take it with the obligatory pinch of salt.

A manifesto is a list of aspirations should you get into power with an overall majority. A manifesto is never a commitment to deliver, especially when the outcome results on a coalition. Something those accusing Clegg of 'breaking' a pledge (aspiration) on tuition feed should have drummed into them.

Alas, next week's court session is simply to set a date for the actual court session....no wonder lawyers are rich....
