Meanwhile, in other tenuously related 'slightly bonkers football boardroom shenanigans' news...

Some eye-watering numbers in that article
Maybe they should be using that £30k the bestest fans won to buy a new kit for the first team....

Just looked at the map again. Salzburg is defo too far east to drive for Rome I reckon. Innsbruck is probably looks the furthest east I'd want to go before heading south
(edit: have just read back through the thread and VFTT has already recommended the route via Innsbruck, so that loosk like the one to consider)
My initial destination is a village near Viterbo, which is about 50 miles due north of Rome (so I'm reluctant to drive too far east before crossing the border into Italy)
I've no idea but it would be a start if the authorities clamped down on the modified modern vehicles first. Surely there must be a law against changing a perfectly quiet exhaust system to make it sound like loud enough to detract from the minute size of their genitalia?

Yay...conspiracy theory time...
"A broad spectrum of NatWest/Ulster Bank customers and suppliers have raised new doubts about how and why last week’s RBS ‘glitch’ occurred. Also RBS’s current financial position doesn’t inspire confidence: and the ‘glitch’ gave the Group what might have been a vital windfall of £73bn in liquidity."
Cheers. So, it sounds like not a lot will be open the day we arrive (Saturday 18th August). I'm assuming motorway petrol stations stay open though...? That said, given our overnight stop will be just north of the Italian border we'll no doubt fill up before heading into Italy in the morning. Thanks :-)
So, in summary, all we know is that, in the liquidation scenario, the players may or may not get what they are owed?
Glad we got that cleared up today ;-))
Actually, I've just read some background to this and it does look like a case of Osborne putting her in the deep end with any briefing, so I think the accusation against Osborne is probably fair on this occasion.
