  1. Actually, I've just read some background to this and it does look like a case of Osborne putting her in the deep end with any briefing, so I think the accusation against Osborne is probably fair on this occasion.
  2. She seems way out of her depth. Isn't it common practice for a senior minister to delgate this kind of routine stuff to junior ministers? I'm not defending Osborne as such, just wondering if this is more of a case of the junior minister not doing enough preparation herself before going on air. Maybe it's a bit of both? (Yay, a whole post without mentioning the Labour Party.....you da man Trousers)
  3. I've seen as many people state the opposite of what you've said there in your second sentence as I've seen agree with what you say. I don't think I've seen a definitive statement (from the PL/FL) that backs up either viewpoint. Not having a go at you, just a general observation on various people's different interpretation of the situation.
  4. I've no idea - haven't looked into it yet What about Labour? What would they have done?

  10. Ha ha....nice of the Portsmouth News to remind the Pompey players and their agents of the Winstone Bogarde case in such a timely fashion. An impartial observer might conclude that The News have an agenda to undermine Birch's efforts to avoid liquidation....
  11. Absolutely. The haste of the Rangers players to jump ship compared to the reluctance of the 'oh so loyal in January' Pompey players is the biggest 'nutshell' moment for me thus far.
  12. Aye. But I would anticipate a move happening fairly swiftly if he's coming here. Maybe tied in with the new kit reveal on Friday...? All seems to fit timing wise.
  13. @SkySports: Rangers midfielder Steven Davis has revealed the reasons why he has rejected having his contract transferred to a newco http://t.co/vwKXohZc "My young family love life in Scotland but after all that's gone on since going into administration in February there comes a point when I needed to make a decision based on what was best for my short career. I am 27 and I hope you all understand I need to be playing at the highest possible level."
