How about doing some research and post your findings rather than post questions? Just an idea. Then we'd have something tangible to debate rather than scattergun hunches.

Full time. Result! Boos ring out around Upton Park Saints stay top of the league
-
Because we don't want to create too much of a gap between ourselves at the top and the other teams below us. That would be showing off. HTH

Full time at Brighton

3 minutes of injury time left

"West Ham keep coming and coming" (Hornets tater)

Did they just say 9 minutes added time due to an earlier injury? (listening to Hornets Player now)

Oops....forgot this game was on. How long to go?

In a way, that's the beauty of them being given more cash. The longer they're kept alive the more amusing it will be to see how they waste it.... Keep throwing good money after bad I say.

You've noticed! I've been trying so hard to conceal those tendancies over the last 5 years! ;-)

I think so, well, in as much that he reckons the Football League can't penalise PFC2010 (newCo) for not honouring it because it's not the same company. Blooming big loophole in the FL rules if you ask me. But, there again, I guess they didn't reckon upon a club ever going into administration a second time so soon after the first!
-
Ah, Ok. My bad. I took it as 4 months in arreas taking us back to November when CSI went into administration. That'll teach me to speed read (badly) :-) January 3rd is when HMRC issued the WUP so I guess that's the date that the League stepped in?
-
Erm..... but we're talking 4 months worth of payments withheld here.....and PFC ('the club') only went into administration a couple of weeks ago..... unless, of course, upon the parent company (CSI) going into admistration, the Football League were dishing out one punishment with one hand (i.e. withholding usual League payments) yet holding fire on another punishment with the other hand (points deduction). So, behind the scenes, did the League consider the football club to be in administration 4 months ago or didn't they? All sounds very inconsistent to me....
-
Is it a coincidence that this 'hyped up' announcement has occurred on the same day that a duplicate 'notification of administrators' was published in the London Gazette but with Birch replaced by a colleague....?
-
Indeed. That's what an administrator does to try and entice buyers.
-
The highly rated Luke Shaw anyone?
-
Ouch

Fair points. But isn't the observation being made here that, after 10+ years of a campaign, the MoD and/or Government(s) still haven't got it right? How long to they need to get a system in place for getting troops from A to B?
-
Erm....any idea why there's been a re-issue of the "Appointment of Administrators" notice published on the London Gazette today for PFC 2010....? The only different to the one originally published on 24th February (here) is that Trevor Birch is no longer named as one of the administrators....has he thrown in the towel or something? Or perhaps he's made contact with Dan Williams again and is thinking of mounting a takeover bid himself? (ok, that's probably a conspiracy theory too far!) http://www.london-gazette.co.uk/issues/60080/notices/1546444 Date: 7 March 2012 Issue Number: 60080 Page number: 4562 Publication Date: Wednesday, 7 March 2012 Notice Code: 2410 Appointment of Administrators In the High Court of Justice (Chancery Division) Companies Court No 1403 of 2012 PORTSMOUTH FOOTBALL CLUB (2010) LTD (t/a Portsmouth FC) (Company Number 07264768 ) Nature of Business: Football Club. Registered Office of Company: Farringdon Place, 20 Farringdon Road, London EC1M 3AP. Principal Trading Address: Fratton Park, Frogmore Road, Southsea, PO4 8RA Date of Appointment: 17 February 2012. Joint Administrators' Names and Address: Bryan Jackson and Ian James Gould (IP Nos 5194 and 7866) both of PKF (UK) LLP, Farringdon Place, 20 Farringdon Road, London EC1M 3AP Further information about this case is available from the offices of PKF (UK) LLP on 020 7065 0000 (1546444) Edit: there's also a couple of entries in yesterday's London Gazette (6th March) regarding that new "Portsmouth Football Club Ltd" company that I recently spotted had been set up a couple of weeks ago by some chap in Hayling Island... http://www.london-gazette.co.uk/issues/all="portsmouth+football+club";sort=newest/start=1

Why the difference with Welsh based clubs?

Can't believe it's Wednesday afternoon and we don't already have a build up thread.... Anyway, here's my futile attempt to predict the future..... ------------------------ Davis ------------------------- ---- Butterfield --- Fonte ---- Hooiveld -------- Fox ---- ----- Cork ---- Chaplow ------ Morgan ---- Lallana ----- ------------- Sharp --------- Lambert ----------------- Bench: Richardson, Lee, De Ridder, Hammond, Puncheon Saints 3 Barnsley 0

Only 6 points in 3 games? Can you imagine the furore on here if we ONLY get 6 points from any given 3 games in succession?!
-
Does that just apply to Southampton or other teams as well? Any other information you have about the future, that you can share with us on here, would be much appreciated. Cheers.
