  1. Yeah. What a load of made up baloney.... ;-)
  2. Sounds like a water-tight source to me.... ;-)
  3. Hmmm....a remarkably good grasp of the nuances of the English language for a Russian....
  4. A healthy bite count on this thread.
  5. I'd prefer to see a new kit every half season. Only one a season? FFS. Cortese Out!
  6. Football fans in getting all hot under the collar about release date for replica kit shocker...
  7. You should get at least 17 bites on that one.... ;-)
  8. I agree with you on that side of things. It's a sensible policy that has been poorly thought through. If it was me running the business I would have looked at the option of phasing it in. But I've never run a business before and perhaps there's a good reason for that. All I know is that if, for example, the club had, say, 10 years ago introduced a concessionary rate for "blokes on comfortable wage but with little or no disposable income for leisure pursuits" then I would have bought a season ticket in the knowledge that I was only doing Si because I was being offered a discount. I would always gave in the back of my mind that the concessions policy could change at any time and that if my concession was withdrawn I wouldn't see it as something being "taken away" rather i would see it as my price being normalise and be thankful that I've had 10 years of discount. Just a different perspective on life I guess. More pragmatic perhaps.
  9. I'm 42 and have never been able to justify spending a sizeable chunk of our family leisure budget on a football season ticket. In other words, I can't afford one so I don't buy one. Simple as that.
  10. Just 74 people taking the bait on this one I see... ;-)
  11. I do look forward to the annual amusing "look at where we are in the table" thread before the start of every season since the beginning of time :-)
  12. If "non-serious" comments on "serious" (non-Muppet Show) threads are infractable surely "serious" comments shouldn't be tolerated on "non-serious" (Muppet Show) threads either? Lots of "serious" comments on this particular "non-serious" thread. Make of that what you will.
  13. I've no idea TBH. That was a quote from the Burnley forum. They were talking about us overspending, very much in the same way we criticise Pompey spending above their means.
  14. "The re-emergence of Southampton after writing off most of it's debts is unfair, but let's face it, fair trade practices have no place in football and this is the fault of the (football) authorities who allow this to happen."
  15. Yes. For cyclists as well as motorists.
  16. I take it you don't go to London very often? 90% (no exageration) of cyclists ignore red lights in London.
  17. Knowing it's a global problem makes me feel even more depressed. Thanks a bunch ;-)
  18. This is what I love about this country. Laws that are designed to protect people yet end up being an inhibiter to innocent day-to-day activities. Nanny state Britain. Sigh. Anyway, don't wish to steer the thread off track so apologies for venting my spleen for 30 seconds!
  19. Yep, his lawyer pleaded 'not guilty' on his behalf as he's stranded in Barcelona
  20. Anything to report from your meeting last week FF? Cheers
  21. Cheers - yep, works on my laptop but not on my wonderous gadget they call the iPhone....
  22. There you go. They are a shrewd business just like any other.
  23. How competitive was their bid for the contract this time around? Being a well run company, as I'm sure they are, they'll be fully aware and appreciative of the competitive nature of the market place within which they operate. No doubt they've had the boot on the other foot when they've won contracts ahead of established firms in other bids. Business is about hard nosed negotiation not emotive ties.
