- the three women in front of me at the train station ticket machine faffing around in handbags for payment card - people dragging suitcases on wheels cutting me up - the guard on my train interrupting me to check my ticket despite having to stick it in a machine at both ends - bloke sitting in the middle seat of three and suddenly thinking he owns the place by shuffling in and sticking his elbows in my ribs

It's all too easy to blame the big, bad, nasty supermarkets but, as with most things, the people who ate ultimately to blame are the apathetic general public who feed this 'evil' via their wallets day in, day out. If 'the public' were truly outaged by the practices and methods of the big supermarkets they have the collective power to put a stop to it. We're largely a nation of people that like to look for someone else to blame for our own actions when we should be taking personal and collective responsibility for what we do. What next? Everyone taking out bank loans they can't afford to pay back, then blaming the banks for a banking crisis...oh... ;-) IMHO of course

Because the apathetic ostrich-like general public (directly or indirectly) keep filling FIFA's pockets through ticket sales, TV rights, etc Simple solution: no one buy a ticket or TV subscription for a FIFA affiliated match or tournament for 12 months Less simple solution: moan about how corrupt FIFA are on football forums before shelling out to watch the next FIFA game on Sky or at the game. Sigh.

Did a lot of research on this last week as I was buying one for my daughter's birthday. Ended up getting the blackberry torch with samsung galaxy s2 a close second. iPhone ruled out due to cost. According to my 14 year old daughter, the HTC wasn't "street-cred" enough...teenagers are a fickle species though...

But there's always the comfort of knowing that the next two won't win either... ;-)
