As someone posted earlier (not sure if on this thread), perhaps those describing it as the end of the world have significant amounts of their savings in SLH shares? I totally agree that it isn't something we should wish for per se but, like yourself, I can see a silver lining or two amongst what is, of course, an undesirable situation in principle.

Reading between the lines, I would venture the timeframe since the last meeting is somehow significant? Did they set themselves 3 weeks to sort something out perhaps? Are board meeting minutes for a PLC in the public domain?

Perhaps football clubs want to make it seem like they are totting up actual attendance figures rather than quoting a ticket sales figure....?

The quotes are more apt around "attendance" though as it isn't an attendance figure. It's a "number of tickets sold" figure. And, yes, I know what they say about "small things and small minds". I'm the proud owner of both....

I heard from someone 'behind the scenes' at another football club that it's for "tax reasons".....
