  1. Voted. C'mon!!
  2. Maybe I'm missing something obvious but if National Rail don't want to get involved in building a station to serve a re-developed stadium area, why would that actually stop the club purchasing the land and going ahead with the development? i.e. why would the absence of a new station be a show stopper?
  3. Maybe the new plans involve moving/rebuilding the stadium closer to the water's edge and thus further away from the current siding which may then make it a safe enough distance away.
  4. Cheers for the insight LeG. I understand the desire to have a train station in the vicinity but not sure why development of the area would be conditional on that happening. Assume its the council stipulating this condition? If so, what is their logic behind the condition? Surely its a 'nice to have' rather than essential? Any idea on what timescales the club have in mind? (roughly)
  5. # Warning klaxon: about to post a 'clever' picture without adding an opinion of my own which will somehow annoy FF #
  6. At this stage of last season, Koeman's first 24 games were over a duration of 142 days, which equates to a game every 5.9 days on average. At this stage of this season, Puel's 26 games have been over a duration of 127 days, which equates to a game played every 4.9 days on average. So, on average, Puel has had a day less preparation for each game and is in a slightly better position than Koeman's team as things stand. Not bad.
  7. Yes, Koeman had Mane last season but was also out of Europe and 5 places below where we are now at this stage of the season. Mane only really started firing on all cylinders in the second half of the season. From what I've seen of Boufal thus far, it wouldn't surprise me if he had a similar impact this season.
  8. Ah, yes. Fair point. That said, Murray was a shoe in so they could've got it over and done with in 10 minutes
  9. I see MotD2 is deferred until tomorrow night again. One assumes it would be screened tonight if Liverpool v Everton had been played today and our game vs Bournemouth was tomorrow...?
  10. Boxing Day is on the 26th this year FFS

  12. We're doing better than last season despite having been in the group stage of the Europa League. So, if we improve even further now we're out then bring it on I say
  13. If you squint your eyes slightly whilst watching JRod's second, you'd be excused for mistaking it for a vintage Le Tiss effort.
  14. if its any consolation, I did cringe at myself whilst typing it

  17. We're now on the same points total as game-week 20 last season. So 3 'free shot' games to come. Happy days.
  18. Just watched the JRod goal for the first time. Wow. Just wow. So pleased for him. Happy Christmas fellow Saints fans

  20. Been driving up and down the M4 all day so not seen the goals yet, but Jay's second one sounds like it was a beauty. Is it OK to be nauseatingly optimistic yet...?
  21. Bizarre and "nauseating", apparently...
