  1. Fair play to Les for tempting him out of retirement...

  5. Yep, great to see the mods starting to take action against those posters whose primary objective is to post stuff that riles other posters masquerading as a "different opinion"...
  6. He's got the 'Pelle flick' (that people used to moan about) in his armoury, so he'll fit in nicely
  7. Tweaked it for you
  8. Isgrove features prominently in the pre-match training photos, so perhaps he's in the frame for this one
  9. Is it Dusty Bin?
  10. I'm guessing there'll be a fair amount of rotation for this game, so perhaps a line-up something along these lines...? Forster Martina Yoshida VvD McQueen Romeu Hojbjerg Davis Sims Tadic Long Subs: Taylor, Bertrand, Fonte, Reed, JWP, Boufal, JRod
  11. By the way, does anyone know why Dean took best part of a minute to issue the red card?
  12. Spurs deserved the victory overall but the scoreline flattered them a tad IMO. A lucky deflected assist for their equaliser and then another fortunate deflected assist for the 3rd goal, which killed the game off at a point where we could have still nicked a point. At the half way stage of the season, we're still 4 places above where we were at the same stage last year with a cup semi final to come, so still too early to cast judgement on where our season will end up. That said, Puel has a tough job on his hands to match Koeman's second half of the season performance last time around. Three points against WBA at the weekend and we'll be ahead of the curve again. Apologies for the "nauseating positive spin"...
  13. I think we should start a thread like this every time we lose but never after a win.
  14. Another lucky deflection for the Spurs 3rd goal But the 4th was fair and square
  15. Textbook (Chapter 6: Play the Victim Card)
  16. Disagree with that. The initial pull-back (for which Redmond got sent off) was way outside the box
  17. The Redmond pull-back was outside the area. Shouldn't have been a penalty but red card probably fair. But why did Dean take so long to dish out the red card? Surely should have been instant if it was that clear cut?
