Apologies... I'll have to duck out of this survey as my music tastes are probably far too un-trendy for the Saintsweb music snobs....

Look.... cards on table... (and bear with me if I talk nonsense, as I've had a few lunchtime snifters).... I get the "you'll never know if we have the best strike force until the end of the season" logic.... of course, that goes without saying.... All I'm suggesting we do (with my "Keep It Simple Stupid") hat on, is that we (i.e. the club) aim to get the best possible players in that our budget can afford... rather than, say, exclusively aim for players "with potential".... in other words, I'd rather we target one striker valued in the "£15m to £20m" bracket than 3 strikers valued in the "£5m to £10m bracket"... Just a gut feel... a hunch that's not based on anything scientific or intellectual... just me as a simpleton...

Yep, fair point.... I agree that any judgement before then would have an element of subjectivity about it.

Repeating myself but keep it simple folks... By the end of the window, is our strike force: (a) as strong as, or stronger than, our promotion rivals? (b) weaker than our promotion rivals? Successful window = (a) Unsuccessful window = (b)

Please tell me they won't be using that crap / tinpot white-surround version of the logo on the match day shirts....

Given our financial clout in the championship, our aim this summer should be to ensure that our strike force is amongst the best in the division, if not the best. If, when the transfer window ends, we're not in that position, then our transfer policy will have failed. In the immortal words of Huey Lewis: "It's as simple as that". As always, time will tell.

I'm not a paid up member of the Jan Bednarek fan club, but isn't he a decent player at Championship level and we're going to need a core of experienced players dotted around the squad. If we were linked to another 29 year centre back with 69 international caps to his name in a top 40 ranked country we'd probably think that was a decent catch for a championship side...?
