I guess my point was, how does clever people (like you and I) slagging off the thickos help convince them to vote for someone else? My theory is that being continuously slagged off actually makes them more likely to stick with their "stupid" voting intentions than not. In other words, what does slagging them off (on an internet football forum or elsewhere) actually achieve?

How did slagging off the thickos in society work during the Brexit campaign...? It's almost as if the more the thickos are mocked by the clever people, the more likely they are to vote for the very parties that the clever people slag off... Might be a new verse for Alanis Morrisette in that somewhere....

Totally agree, but for this bloke to sit there grinning from ear-to-ear and referring to a 'loop hole' in the contract to get him off the hook must make the postmasters feel like punching his lights out! (metophorically of course) Shame they had the softer questioners on duty today.

In response to the the statement put to him: "the Fujitsu software was proven to be not fit for purpose" he defended Fujitsu's position be responding: "the software being 'fit for purpose' was never written into the contract" Jesus Christ, is this man for real...?

Wow... this Richard Christou fella giving evidence today (Futitsu ex CEO & Chairman) is giving a masterclass in arrogance, ignorance, smugness, self-aggrandising and lack of emphathy. Responsibilty? Did they introduce 'austerity' just because they wanted to (ideologically) or because they felt they had to (in order to deal with the consequences of the 2008 financial crisis)? (I'm not trying to make a party political point here, just interested in what the underlying motivation/driver might have been for 'austerity', even if, according to those with a different philosophy, it wasn't necessary)

Actually, in all seriousness, what is the typical "market rate" for stadium sponsorship these days? Given the FFP shackles we seem to be in for this season, surely it'll be worth doing a stadium sponsorship deal of some kind, even if it only raises enough funds for one new player, say?
