Out of idle curiosity, on what date in history does "ancient" cease to be applicable...?
-
Almost correct.... The 5-0 defeat was in the League Cup in August 2021 whilst still manager of MK Dons, one division below Bournemouth at the time. Russ happened to depart for Swansea the very next day, so probably had other things on his mind... The 4-0 defeat was a Championship game in November 2021. Bournemouth (and Fulham) were runaway league leaders at the time, having only lost 1 out of 17 games) But there was a more recent Russell Martin game vs Bournemouth later that same season in April 2022, whilst still manager at Swansea, which finished 3-3 (Note: RM's Swansea were 3-0 up with 18 minutes to go...!)

IMO, Ross Stewart took the most assured penalty in the cup shoot out. So we just need to make sure we only venture into the opposition's box when he's on the pitch...

Checking, and re-checking, that you're putting a t-shirt on the right way, only to then put it on back-to-front anyway.... What kind of voodoo sh*t is that?

Aye, and neither do we this season.... Yep, also agree 👍 FWIW, I still reckon Russ will come good this season and we can all have a jolly good chortle back at this thread in May

By that logic, I'm surprised Brighton didn't go for Martin in the summer rather than the CV-lite Fabian Hürzeler... #nonsequitur

Yeah, always good to see a manager react to fan criticism rather than doing it of his own fruition... #footieforumbanter

Ha... The same thought occurred to me as I was typing that reply... 😁

"TalkSPORT’s Alex Crook reports..." Aaaaand.... relax...

I doubt 'going public' will do him any favours with Martin...

Left, actually (teams tend to play facing forwards ) .... But, you're right, probably still "nonsense" (something I'm particularly good at to be fair... 😎 )

People (mainly politicians) that call it "our" NHS rather than "the" NHS. Cretins.

If Dyche and his team are as bad as you portray, how come it wasn't a comfortable win for us...?

It's true what they say about "great minds..." I see...

Great interview between the two Adams. Lallana definitely has a "future manager" vibe about him. I certainly wouldn't have any qualms if he needed to step up as interim Saints manager at any stage... Particularly like him telling his fellow squad members in no uncertain terms that they need to "man up"
