Give an example of berating and mocking? Plus in any case, if a belief can't withstand mockery, it has very weak foundations and you should look to question why you continue to believe it if it falls apart at a joke.

I talk religion to people in appropriate places. We are currently in a thread about religion on a forum... that is appropriate. Your examples of on the street to people minding their own business or at a church wedding are not appropriate places. People are not looking for those discussions there. If I see a JW with a stand looking for a chat or if one comes to my door... then that is appropriate. That is me showing respect. By judging where and when it is appropriate!

1) Give an example of me doing each. I'm questioning things. Asking questions aids progress. 2) Asking questions aids debates. They are a fundamental part of a debate. If objectionable things can't be defended... maybe you shouldn't believe in them! 3) Understanding of what exactly? How is a global flood anything but a genocide? How is saying which humans you can own as property anything but slavery? Etc etc

This is a religion thread on an internet forum. Internet forums are places for discussions. The examples you gave are not, so I don't. Can you not understand the difference? I do talk to JWs in the street or if one knocks on my door, as they want to talk religion.

That did not answer the question. What is out of bounds when it comes to respect, and for what reason?
-
Respect in what way and why?
-
What knowledge is required to discuss a global flood being a genocide? Or instructions on which humans you can own as property being slavery? Or keeping virgins of tribes you beat to do with them as you wish as endorsing rape?
-
Try answering the question.
-
Which of the claims... genocidal, slavery and rape endorsing, blood sacrifice loving do you disagree with and why?
-
Genocidal, slavery and rape endorsing, blood sacrifice God cults aren't particularly complex. They are batshit crazy!

@Turkish and I must have enough compost to grow a lot of vegetables in the Saints Web garden! Which of us is Richard Briers and who is Felicity Kendal?
-
What has he missed about them?
-
Still making this too easy! Try harder! Turkish can't grasp context... again! I was talking in general regarding reasons why people don't hit the heart button on Tweets. The controversial comment was not about this tweet per se. That is why I said "with a post" and not "with this post". Because it was talking in general and was one of a few reasons. There is a key difference between the two that you missed! Plus... interesting you ignored the analogy at the end!
-
You make this far too easy! People might appreciate or agree with a post but choose not to engage for various reasons: they’re scrolling quickly, they’re being cautious about how their activity appears to others (especially with controversial topics), or they simply don’t use the “like” feature much. Liking something and hitting the like button are not the same thing — one is a private feeling, the other is a public action. Not hitting the like button on a tweet is like laughing at a joke at home but not clapping at the comedy club — it doesn't mean you didn't enjoy it, just that your hands stayed in your lap.

At no point did I say people did not disagree with it. You picked three coments against it. No mention of those in favour. You have no idea what the other 99% think. Nor do I. Try harder Turkish! Slacking!
-
That quote you just used does not hold any water. The comment section does no such thing. Sure a handful are against it in the comments, I did not claim overtime. You leave out all those in favour in the comments.
-
Yet again, nonsense. Yet another Turkish strawman fallacy! At no point did I say more people agreed with it than didn't. The Tweet even opens with saying it will divide the fanbase! I was fully aware some wouldn't want him back, so you decide to ignore the caveat. I note you only list quotes of three that disagree and make no mention of the many that do. How convenient!
-
So you read posts, quote them, comment about those quotes without actually reading them?
-
354 isn't a 'few people'
-
Epic fail on your part here! The sentence I mentioned voids that! In your 15k+ posts you have quoted many hundreds of other people. Why are you quoting them if you haven't read what they said?
-
Read the third sentence in the posted you quoted.
-
You've got it the around the wrong way!

31st August 2024 We have had little need to do so for many years as we've been in the Premier League and the vast majority of L1 or below players won't be good enough, especially those in their mid 20s or older. The only signings we'll make from those clubs will be promising youngsters, for example last summer signing Baylee Dieppa from Port Vale... https://www.port-vale.co.uk/news/baylee-dipepa-completes-permanent-transfer-southampton-0

Tongue twister... Will Will Still still be interested in the Saints job if Carragher asks him about it tonight? Guest managers on MNF are often looking for a new job and want to be in the spotlight, normally unemployed managers, so it is rare for an employed manager of a non English club to be on it.
