Johannes Spors putting his team together. Head of Recruitment Darren Mowbray leaving Mariela Nisotaki joining Sport Republic from Norwich City where she was assistant head of recruitment. https://trainingground.guru/nisotaki-leaving-norwich-to-join-sport-republic/ https://www.linkedin.com/in/mariela-nisotaki-37987a87/details/experience/

If it acts as a way to keep Fernandes so we have him back after a promotion... it is not 'utterly stupid'! 😉😇

Nothing about it on Brighton's website, the Brighton paper, the council planning website or Brighton's main fan forum. Maybe it was a dream! 😁

Some good news for you! https://www.southamptonfc.com/en/news/article/cornet-returns-to-west-ham Probably easy to miss as he had no impact for us, but Cornet left in January when his loan was cut short, he then went on loan to Genoa and was never ours in the first place to stay beyond this season anyway.

No persuasion needed. He is a club employee. 'Coming back here', is a man returning to his workplace in July.

Saints have spent £260m+ on fees over the last two Premier League seasons. They did not spend it well, but it is hardly a small budget to work with under Sport Republic!
-
Hardly a bad decision to play Dibling and Fernandes. They have been our standout players this season!
-
Well, Leicester sacked him this season despite not being in the relegation zone at the time. Possibly a big mistake on their part given how their season has gone since! Forest were also outside the relegation zone when he was sacked.
-
Bottom. Why? I made no comment on Cooper. I was merely saying how well Lampard has done this season.
-
Getting Coventry into playoff contention is impressive given where they were when he took charge. Coventry were 17th in the Championship, 10 points from the play-off spots and only two points above the relegation zone. They are now only 1 point from the playoffs, with a game in hand... vs Pompey tonight.
-
If we are basing it on that, then so does Russell Martin and it is a squad he built for his style of play! 😬 They should however be looking for more than that in a new manager. Being capable of doing something in the Premier League once we are back I think is a key one.
-
I did not say or comment on if it wasn't true or not. I outlined why it doesn't make sense. Not the same thing!
-
That makes little sense, as the longer you stay in the Championship the harder it is to come up again as revenue decreases significantly each season you stay down. Had we not gone up, we'd be in the Championship with a lower income and would have sold some of the best players.
-
Only one of the three he listed has been in the Championship this season, not two. That has only been si ce January and he I'd also being played out of his best role. The three players listed were Armstrong, Archer and Onuachu. Thd former two have both been prolific in the Championship. I think Onuachu would as well. Why would struggling in the PL impact their ability to perform in a lower league? Armstrong isn't getting the goals for WBA because he isn't being played in the role we used him in to be prolific last season.
-
Have you considered that might be because... Ballard is nearly a year older than Dibling? Dibling into adulthood has significantly overtaken him.
-
Where have you got that from?
-
You left a gap in central midfirld, but missed out Shea Charles, who is doing very well this season in the Championship and also captaining his country at a very young age. He might go straight into the starting XI. I'd be very surprised if we still had Dibling and Ramsdale. I think Bazunu will be our keeper for the season. Welington might be more useful than Taylor and Manning. Plus we also have Juan, Matsuki and Traore and others back from their loans.
-
The £100m was spent very poorly. He also could have raised more to spend if he asked for a clearout of existing players who weren't good enough for the Premier League rather than being loyal to them.
-
Have you considered Russell Martin played a key role in assembling the squad for this season? He wanted to stay loyal to those players that won promotion, even though they weren't good enough. We needed a complete overhaul in the summer of 2024 and didn't get one. Martin can't blame the tools when he help pick which ones he wanted this season. Juric was a tactical disaster, but he was hamstrung by the squad Martin left him!

It isn't Sport Republic's track record you should look at. Johannes Spors is making the pick.
