Flawed because 'Football operations' is a regular description in the duties sections of job spec for directors of football roles. And 'Football Mascots'... is not.
-
My suggestion was you don't understand the definition of irony, like the lyrics of the Alanis Morissette song where nothing she sings about is actually ironic!
-
'Head of recruitment' Darren Mowbray
-
How does that meet a definition of irony?
-
What difference do you think the one extra word makes? Lots of teams have DoFs but they don't all use the exact same job title wording.
-
Yes, it does. Bitcon's job title is Director of football operations. Not only on his LinkedIn but a title that is also used on the club website for him. https://www.linkedin.com/in/mark-bitcon-444a753b?originalSubdomain=uk https://www.southamptonfc.com/en/news/article/2024-25-bbc-radio-solent-fans-forum?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=organic&utm_c

They've had from August to mid December to come up with a succession plan. It wasn't working in August and didn't change through to December. Ideally they'd always have in mind some candidates if things go wrong, so should have had some ideas even before August.

I do, which clearly counters the claim you made that I don't give my opinion on Saints.
-
Making claims without evidence isn't rational. Would you prefer to be irrational? I have lots of opinions on Saints. There are more of my opinions on Saints publically available than probably any other person on the planet (that may sound like hyperbole but I can give justifying it a go). So to say "as per" is nonsense.

Mine were rational

That adds a lot to the conversation

I have not claimed he is a good choice for the role. Nor have I said he is a bad pick. Without knowing his exact responsibilities we can't judge him. Plus even then only some of those things are likely to be available for the public to judge... yet many feel they can without evidence.

2 years ago not 6, plus one of those last 2 being at Saints
-
How do you know what decisions he has been responsible for? Plus, he does have football experience at Man City.

What meaningful impact will a relegation have on on a 61 year old manager's CV? Especially when relegation currently looks extremely likely. Moyes has a vast body of work as a manager that shows he is capable. An inevitable relegation isn't going to be blamed on him.

...or it could be true

The second half showed it was tactical. They were instructed to press as a unit higher up the pitch.
-
The lack of intense pressing in a low block is a tactical decision not a fitness issue. That is on Rusk, not the players.

He is suspended

Wouldn't it have been easier to use a photo of him from 2019?

Martin had better players at his disposal. Makes things easier for him.
