He improved his finishing position in each of the 4 seasons with MK Dons and Swansea. His last two seasons in the top half show he is capable of managing a team above the bottom half of the Championship. I'm not going to deny he was clearly was out of his depth in the Premier League.
-
His last two Championship seasons were 4th and 10th in a 24 team league.
-
Yep, plus Saints are benefitting as well for the reasons I listed.
-
Two is not 'a load'. Plus neither of them cost much. Allows them to get regular gametime in a European league in conditions Sport Republic control and helps with work permits.
-
Can still be a red without contact. If you throw a punch at another player and they dodge it, it is still a red card.
-
Playing today is very close to the Boxing day games, so they've given them an extra day to recover.

Might explain why a move for him didn't go any further... https://x.com/NicoSchira/status/1871305356560699598?t=hh-YhfLoEam0zI6NPeDAcA&s=19

Göztepe are currently 4th in the Turkish Super League and are in a European spot. Shows they can run a club! Hopefully it eventually clicks at Saints! Although Saints fans may say they don't care about Göztepe and Valenciennes. The other clubs doing well has benefits for Saints as the keystone club in the group.

Archer has been ill this week

Is his name Father Jack?
-
Flawed because 'Football operations' is a regular description in the duties sections of job spec for directors of football roles. And 'Football Mascots'... is not.
-
My suggestion was you don't understand the definition of irony, like the lyrics of the Alanis Morissette song where nothing she sings about is actually ironic!
-
'Head of recruitment' Darren Mowbray
-
How does that meet a definition of irony?
-
What difference do you think the one extra word makes? Lots of teams have DoFs but they don't all use the exact same job title wording.
-
Yes, it does. Bitcon's job title is Director of football operations. Not only on his LinkedIn but a title that is also used on the club website for him. https://www.linkedin.com/in/mark-bitcon-444a753b?originalSubdomain=uk https://www.southamptonfc.com/en/news/article/2024-25-bbc-radio-solent-fans-forum?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=organic&utm_c

They've had from August to mid December to come up with a succession plan. It wasn't working in August and didn't change through to December. Ideally they'd always have in mind some candidates if things go wrong, so should have had some ideas even before August.
-
I do, which clearly counters the claim you made that I don't give my opinion on Saints.
-
Making claims without evidence isn't rational. Would you prefer to be irrational? I have lots of opinions on Saints. There are more of my opinions on Saints publically available than probably any other person on the planet (that may sound like hyperbole but I can give justifying it a go). So to say "as per" is nonsense.
-
Mine were rational
-
That adds a lot to the conversation
-
I have not claimed he is a good choice for the role. Nor have I said he is a bad pick. Without knowing his exact responsibilities we can't judge him. Plus even then only some of those things are likely to be available for the public to judge... yet many feel they can without evidence.

2 years ago not 6, plus one of those last 2 being at Saints
