  1. Gazzaniga is not on the bench, he is playing for the under 21's tonight just like he did vs Wolves last week. What are you talking about?
  2. Does it? Why?
  3. He wasn't in the last under 21 game as he was on the bench vs Chelsea, he'll probably be on the bench on Saturday vs Reading.
  4. Because all it is is a piece of cloth on his arm, not having the armband doesn't mean Lambert won't be a leader on the pitch and keep quiet for 90 minutes.
  5. It makes little difference who is "captain". Lambert can still help raise the game of the players on the pitch even if Lallana has the armband.
  6. Southampton FC ‏@SouthamptonFC 2m MP on Boruc illness: "The doctors think he picked up a virus whilst away but he has trained well since Monday." #saintsfc
  7. Watch the pre-match press conference on Saints Player later today.
  8. Now this is cringeworthy... http://www.readingfc.co.uk/news/article/why-its-possible-040413-752480.aspx
  9. If you can't look for an away win against the worst team in the league, who can you look for one against? It isn't home games we need to win as that is just settling for survival, Saints should be looking for a mid table finish this season and beating Reading is a key part to achieving that. A draw on Saturday would be very disappointing as we should be capable of easily beating them. A draw would be because Saints didn't play very well against a poor team.
  10. I would be, they are the worst team in the league and have lost their last 6 games.
  11. Why do you describe a game vs QPR as "very winnable" and a game vs Reading as a "banana skin"? Our odds to go down are lengthening because we are in good form and although the league is very tight, with Saints in 12th it would require us to have worse form over the next 7 games than a large number of teams below us (many of which aren't great and are in terrible form).
  12. And my point was that as those players aren't currently being used by Saints (most of them loaned out this season), they don't need to be directly replaced as they aren't in the current Saints Premier League squad anyway. They are surplus and have come about as a result of successive promotions and them not being good enough to progress as quickly as the club has.
  13. How do you know they haven't?
  14. Why have you included these players? They aren't being used this season and Saints are already in mid table without them in the squad. You could also add Seaborne, Hammond, Forecast, De Ridder and Forte to your list. They are deadwood this season and will all be moved out of the club asap.
  15. No I haven't.
  16. And your evidence for this is...?
  17. West Brom are only 4 points off the top 7 with 7 games to go, are they really that much better than Saints? Would we need to improve that much to get to their level?
  18. Every sellout is turning away potential customers, money and an opportunity to expand the fanbase in future years. A 32k capacity has limited Saints for 12 games in a relegation battle. A better Saints team with higher quality international players and the team higher up the table would attract even more fans.
  19. Yet another game has sold out 2 weeks before kickoff... (I thought people said things like this wouldn't happen?) http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/article/only-hospitality-left-for-west-ham-749445.aspx The last 5 home games in a row sold out. Only two left after the West Ham game, Stoke on the last day of the season will sell out, the West Brom game perhaps won't, but you never know. So that is 11 sellouts (possibly 12) from the 19 Premier League home games in a season of relegation battling. Imagine if we actually had a good season...?! 32k capacity is simply too small. Hence Cortese commissioning AFL for stadium development and expansion designs.
  20. No it wouldn't. Would be better if they get relegated outright and then -10 applied next season in League Two.
  21. Do you have even the slightest shred of evidence he ever has? Thread ends.
  22. Every player that came in was them an international of note apart from Bertrand. It was still a good very Chelsea team.
  23. Probably the first of many stories like this... http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/reading-transfer-news-nigel-adkins-1795631?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter
