  1. His new contract wasn't reported as happening last season. It was in September 2020, taking him to 2024. https://theathletic.com/news/exclusive-jack-stephens-agrees-new-long-term-southampton-contract/bo8LfBeiblPj/
  2. That isn't really an indication, he was just the most suitable captain on the pitch for a friendly with the captain and vice captain not playing at the time.
  3. Man Utd didn't think so.
  4. Nonsense, for the reason outlined above.
  5. Because your post saying... "I remember the days when we signed Carillo and our geniuses on here insisted that if you exclude all these points he actually had a goal scoring record of a goal every other game. I see the same methodology is at play here 🤣" ...came shortly after my post pointing out the issue in using 26 games, 6 goals for Mara. So if you weren't talking about me, who were you talking about? The conversation previously was a different topic.
  6. Yet again you are taking my post out of the context of what it was a reply to and viewing it in isolation. My post was a reply to Tank saying '6 goals in 26 games'. 26 games of football = 2,340+ minutes, but he actually played under 900 minutes, so using '26 games' isn't the best reflection of what he did.
  7. Look beyond the number of games as that isn't a true reflection. 6 goals in only 898 minutes of football is pretty impressive. Especially as many of those minutes are in short spells at the end of games for a relegated team.
  8. How do you know they 'seem fit'? The club said the reason they stayed in England rather than goto Austria was because they needed extra work. The club could be playing with the truth, but we don't know.
  9. If it was an office job with a contract until 30th June and you finished work at 5pm on 30th June would you get paid anything else for the time from 5pm to midnight? No Footballers aren't even doing any work on 30th June. It is their holiday time! This is all very silly! 😁😇
  10. The contracts make no mention of time, simply the date.
  11. Player contracts in England end on 30th June each year. Not 1st July.
  12. Shane Long left Saints 3 weeks ago. He joined Reading shortly afterwards...
  13. Why not? It is possible to be successful in business without being unpleasant.
  14. That isn't up to date.
  15. They are merely rehashing what Bordeaux said 3 hours ago...
  16. How have you determined him to be that?
  17. I used the same spelling as the person I was making the point to. DMan called him Lingaard!
  18. Mara, Bazunu, Aribo, Bella-Kotchap and Lavia are all too old for the FA Youth Cup in 2022/23.
  19. Lingard was a 29 year old fringe first team player for Man Utd, leaving them for newly promoted Nottingham Forest is a slide downwards in his career. Bazunu and Lavia were not first team players at Man City, they have left Man City's academy and loan system in order to be in a Premier League 1st team. That is an upwards trajectory in their careers.
  20. I didn't say he was wrong, I asked him why we should think he is right. There is a significant difference between those two things.
  21. Have you been scouting him?
  22. I wouldn't. He is 44 years old and retired from playing 9 years ago!
  23. He was coming on as a sub for Albania before he signed for Saints. That isn't being a 'regular'.
  24. He knows his stuff then! 👍
  25. And here it is... 😇
