If we didn't play him he'd be better off seeing out the remaining time on his contract and going out on loan if he wanted games. There is no inventive for him to lose some of the worth on his contract.

Why would he agree to that? Plus in any case, the club has insurance for player injuries.

Perhaps another loan next season or possibly could be a useful player for our first team in the Championship.

Why is that more plausible than the unequivocal fact that not every player in our squad can be in the 20-man matchday squad? Circa 30 players don't fit into the 20-man matchday squad! Every game we have to leave some players out. Nothing can be done about that, and Fraser is one of those left out.

Those aren't the only options. We have a big squad, not everyone can make the matchday squad of 20, some will miss out.

I did not say we did.

£22m isn't a particularly big fee for the PL in 2025. Assists can be a flawed stat to judge someone on. A one yard pass can be an assist. Coming off you backside can be an assist. Plus sometimes a pass or dribble before the assist is the key part in the build up to a goal.
