So he has been "overrated" by scouts, coaching staff and management of a number of the top teams in world football along with the England under 21's, aged only 17. I think these people have a better idea than any of us.
-
Why sell him when there is no financial need for the club to sell and if you do sell why at £5m when you could easily get more with so many top clubs interested and Alex has 15 years of top football ahead of him?

Is Nick Illingsworth allowed a ticket to watch?

Becoming a vegan (as the video wants you to in its message at the end) isn't the answer. Humans are omnivores and there is nothing wrong with us eating meat, we are meant to eat meat. The problem the video really shows is the poor standards and policing of the American food industry.

Do we know he holds this view or is it just more unsubstantiated speculation?

I was pleased how the video turned out... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4dm_CpDwwVM

I tried to make it easy to remember, with alliteration of Football Forum Finder. Does what it says on the tin... Clearly I failed

I need to work on it some more really. Haven't done anything for a while.

Alex just has Chamberlain, not Oxlade-Chamberlain. Holder-Spooner and Ward-Prowse play for the under 18's and they don't have names on their backs, just numbers.

Who thinks tartanowl will ever post on here again?

The game doesn't really allow you to stop things like this. Would need a lot of tweaking to the financial module. Also not helped by Saints no longer having sugar daddy ticked. No, it is a completely different program and allows you to do a lot more.

They were pretty crap already tbh.

Giving him low a consistency rating is as good as you are going to get.

Is there anything people would really like to see in the patch in regard to Saints data wise?
-
Most significant one is that Chamberlain will be a lot better (both in CA and PA). A few other tweaks here and there for player stats but nothing major. Plus - Forte, N'Guessan (on loan), Guly and Chaplow all Saints players. - Puncheon and Mills out on loan. - Forecast, Pulis, Garrod and Dean all are emergency loans so aren't included. - Lallana on a new deal - Jim Stannard new goalkeeper coach. I've also added the 6 youngsters that got deals late last year - Jake Sinclair, James Ward-Prowse etc. But I don't think they will be in the patch for legal reasons as they are too young. So you will have to wait until FM 2012.

I didn't say you said that. I lifted the quote I had used in response to someone else that said he had a lack of respect. The rest applies to your point though. That doesn't mean I think you said that, so it isn't twisting words at all. We are wearing an anniversary shirt, recently had a number of former players on the pitch at half time and the club held official events in November 2010 - the actual time of the anniversary! The event yesterday was unofficial, 3 months late and some of those involved have been slagging him off in the press for months. He owes them nothing and certainly can't blame him for not doing them any favours. So how has Cortese not understood the clubs history? He held events at the time of the anniversary, those held yesterday are the ones that are three months late! Imagine if someone held an unofficial wedding anniversary for you and your wife in the village hall, 3 months after the anniversary date. The organiser of the unofficial event has been slagging you off in the village paper for the last 18 months. Would you let your kids attend? - It may not be the best analogy ever but I think it gets the point across.

From another thread...

As I said in the other thread (as these two threads are pretty much on the same course at the moment... - MLT is the King on the pitch and Lawrie the king of the dugout for Saints. - But concerning actions off the pitch, Cortese is far more impressive and professional. As Saint Clark pointed out, all the actions Cortese gets abused for can be easily countered (although many of his critics ignore the rebuttals like those Saint Clark listed). MLT and Lawrie however seem to be able to say what they like in the eyes of some. Yes, Le Tiss is one of the greatest players ever to play for the club and Lawrie probably the best manager, but they shouldn't open their mouths in public about Cortese and then expect Cortese to do them any favours.

The club have shown plenty of respect to history, see post #11.

It isn't hate. Lawrie Mac, for all the great stuff he did as manager, it doesn't infallible now. He continues to make unfounded and unsubstantiated claims in the local and national press, it shouldn't then surprise him if those he makes it against don't do him any favours, they are under no obligation.
