Point 4's the interesting one

Nice selective use of a quote. Pity you had to edit it to try and make it look bad. Why didn't you print everything the guy wrote. You girls really are quite pathetic about this. Here's the quote in full: "Glad Hull are dropping, was sat next to them at fratton and the **** they were talking about our financial issues was unbelievable considering the state they are in. Glass houses, throwing stones. I shall now sit back and enjoy the horror show that will most likely engulf their club this off-season. They go into admin now and they have a real chance that they wont be out of it in time."

PMSL. Hindsight's a great thing. You've had a major hard on for me ever since I showed you up on here for posting on a Pompey board, posing as a Pompey fan and denying you were a scummer. You constantly give it the large one with your impeccable business acumen that never seems to come off quite as you predict. Even your own fans on the main board think you're a pompous know-****-all. FWIW, the quote you posted from me was based on the media reporting that Fahim was looking to sell the club on to wealthy new investors. Your fans on here were extremely ****ed off at the prospect and were cursing our luck at finding new backers. My comments on being debt free and trimming the wage bill were again based on media reports about how that was what had/ was about to happen. Of course Gormless Missive must have posted how the whole thing was a scam for Chainrai to take control of the club by faking a loan to Faraj's company, leeching it away to a company in the BVI so that it could be routed straight back to Chainrai via the same loose banking system. You did write all that at the time, didn't you? For those of you who haven't seen it, here's Gormless's post on POL. Does it sound eerily similar to his rants on here? Did what he predicted would happen in court actually occur? Or was he proved to be rather "clueless"? Plus denying you're a "scummer"? Wash your mouth out with soap Mr Missive. I don't think he's smarter than me, as I didn't loan the club £17M and risk losing it all. The danger is that the court will probably rule that any asset transfer of Fratton Park to Chanrai is invalid as it occured after the winding up petition was served. In the absence of South African gold, the court will liquidate the club, the liquidator selling the assets to the highest bidder. Chanrai will get the square root of f*** all, which serves him right for trying to cheat the UK taxpayer out of revenue to pay for our hospitals, schools, etc. Oh and I'm not a scummer, BTW... http://www.pompeyonline.com/forums/showthread.php?t=55949&page=2 So Gorm, according to you the result of the hearing would be that the court would liquidate us and Chainrai would get nothing. My God, how do you do it? You're a business genius. ROTFPMSL You seem to be forgetting Chainrai who for no outlay has gained secured creditor status, already trousered £4m and is set to get at least another £14m. That's if Admin Andy doesn't manage to obstruct any potential bidders so Chainrai can carry on as our "saviour" and pocket the next three or four years parachute payments too.
-
To answer your question, I have no idea what the new guy is doing or why he's come to the club or who's paying him. I saw a post a few days back criticising the Pompey fans who met with Andronikou for meekly accepting his answers. The truth is that it was decided before they went not to challlenge his replies because they'd been warned he'd walk out if anyone did that. They decided to just ask the questions and note the answers and then put them out in the public domain plus feed them on to some journalists that a couple of the guys have developed contacts with and hope they could prompt some investigations into his inconsistensies. As some have noted on here, our debt seems to swing wildly anywhere beyween £70m and £120m. And this guy's a senior administrator and accountant? We all know he's bent, the Sunday Times article merely put into words what most Pompey fans thought when he was appointed - that he's Chainrai's ***** and is there merely to get whatever money he can for his master. I actually like Collymore and think he's pretty intelligent. But whilst I can understand people reading this report and having a knee jerk reaction no-one seems to be asking the questions that should be asked. In all this mess, who is it who's actually making money out of it? How and why did they come to the club? And how was it allowed to happen. Has it been noted elsewhere that we somehow owe Spurs £1m for a player that never played for them. Come on SFO, if that's not an invitation to investigate what's going on I don't know what is
-
Sorry fella, you're way behind. Some of us Pompey fans have been in touch with the SFO months back requesting an investigation into Chainrai's activities. Let's not forget (haven't looked thorugh all the posts to see if it's been posted) that Chainrai took £4m out of the club back in January that could have been used to pretty much pay off all the small creditors. And the PL allowed him to do it.
-
I've been pretty consistent in what I've always said about Storrie DD. I think that like most things in life nothing is black and white. He's done some stupid things (and will rightly get punished for them) and was on a very high salary. But, to be fair, the salary wasn't the £1.2m that was always reported (I know he got bonuses) and whilst he was one of the highest paid in the PL he did a lot more in the role than many others with the same title at other clubs did as he had nowhere near the number of assistants most other clubs have. Some of the deals may be questionable but he still did great deals when selling players (Diarra, Johnson, Distin to name a few who all went for way more than we paid for them). He could have walked, done "the honourable thing" but how many of us would walk away from our own jobs if we had a contract? Not many I suspect. If he did avoid paying tax thewn he deserves whatever punishment he gets. And as for the chanting his name, some Pompey fans did. Many others have never liked him and to them he's always been "Storrie teller". I'm in the middle. He did the job he was (very well) paid to do. He did some good things and some bad things. personally, I feel it's time for all the current guys to go and for a clean sweep so the club can start again. I understand that completely Johnny and am glad you said it. Because if you had "got away with it" 99% of Saints fans would have been happy with the decision. It's the moral superiority on here about Pompey's situation that really bugs me when I know that if the roles were reversed there wouldn't be this laughable moral outrage about the situation and you'd be crossing your fingers that someone bought you and that the 9 points was all you got as a penalty. I understand Saints fans enjoying the situation but it's the hypocrisy that I find hard to take.
-
Always happy to genuinely talk proper football. I did post this a couple of days ago but here's what I believe (allegedly, Saints Web lawyers) happened. Gaydamak Snr stiffed Chainrai and his business partner over a deal which has all been well reported. Chainrai sued and was awarded £17m but Gaydamak never paid. Now, remember when Fahim was buying Pompey, Gaydamak refused to sell to al Faraj because of who his backers were. What reason could Gaydamak possibly have for doing that when he was desperate to sell up? The only conclusion I can come to is that Faraj's backers were Chainrai and his partner. Anyway, Fahim's backer doesn't come up with the cash he promised leaving Fahim high and dry and as a result he sells to "Faraj". A couple of months later, Faraj runs into money problems (imagine!) and Chainrai, supposedly out of nowhere steps in and lends him (surprise) £17m, taking a charge on the club if Faraj defaults on the "loan". Now, the fact that someone who'd supposedly never even heard of Faraj at that point is willing to lend him £17m is strange, wouldn't you say. But have I mentioned that Chainrai's company (Portpin) and Faraj's company (Falcondrone) are both based in the British Virgin Isles? The money supposedly for the club is transferred out to Falcondrone and PFC never see a penny of it. The question is, how difficult would it be then for Falcondrone to transfer the money back to Portpin's account in the BVI? Not very is my answer. Faraj, if he even exists, defaults on the "loan", Chainrai takes over, promising to fund the running of the club (but wages still aren't paid) and becomes a secure creditor, ensuring he gets his £17m back. Meanwhile, the club get hammered from all angles while these ******s are the real ones getting away with it. My only hope is that some info comes to light that ****s Chainrai up. I've been told that someone got their hands on some documents that prove that Chainrai was issuing orders to PFC staff long before he was supposed to have been around. Hopefully that's true and it will make sure he doesn't get his hands on any money. Personally (and this is my own view and doesn't represent all PFC fans) I don't care if we get docked more points or even demoted a couple of divisions (although personally I feel that would be unfair as the club has been used by crooks rather than trying to profit illegally from activities on its own) as long as these ****s are exposed and forced out. And before anyone says "you didn't say that when Gaydamak was there", you're right. But whatever he was doing he wasn't using the club as a pawn in an argument between himself and a rival. HTH
-
Despite you lot bleating on about getting away with it and cheating etc etc etc ad nauseum we've got an administrator who's clearly only interested in fleecing as much money for Chainrai as possible (as he's done before for previous dodgy clients) who is doing as much as possible to obstruct potentially interested parties, who hasn't carried out the forensic accounting after 8 (!) weeks on the job and whose valuation of our "debt" (despite Chainrai and Gaydamak not actually really not being owed anything, or certainly nothing like the numbers being bandied about) seems to rise and fall like a Millbrook girl's knickers on a Saturday night. We're not "cheating" by not playing a fuill strength side, we're resting players so they don't get injured. You've done the same in the past and clubs do it every week. So please stop whining about it, it's dull and boring. No Pompey fans I know object to a 9 points deduction and have all said that if we get further penalties for next season for not getting a CVA then so be it. Those are the rules. You can easily find a couple of mongs on a message board saying it's unfair but one or two posts, believe it or not, do NOT automatically make it the opinion of the majority. I'm not sure what we're getting away with or what penalty you genuinely feel would be suitable but we'll be punished according to the rules. Most on here last year were citing a legal technicality as to why you shouldn't be docked 10 points. I've never seen such a sanctimonious bunch of blowhards (I've waited years to use that word) as there are on this board. The smug, self satisfaction about the intelligence shown on here is laughable. The same topics were debated at the same time on the Pompey boards. There have been so many "conclusions" about what will happen to Pompey on here that I guess one of them will be right in the end and be held up as a magnificent example of how intelligent you all are and all the other scenarios you've proposed conveniently forgotten about. Give it up girls. The fact that no other fans are bothered about the situation says it all. Most fans are of the opinion that we overspent, went bust, got docked 9 points and have been relegated and that's enough of the story. You try and dress your ridiculous levels of interest as some laughable sort of moral superiority like a bunch of net curtain twitching Daily Mail readers when the truth is, of course, if it wasn't Pompey you wouldn't have even mentioned it. Grow up and get on with supporting your own team. I've been walking in the rain just to get wet on purpose I've been forcing myself not to forget just to feel worse I've been getting away with it all my life (getting away) However I look it's clear to see That I love you more than you love me I hate that mirror, it makes me feel so worthless I'm an original sinner but when I'm with you I couldn't care less I've been getting away with it all my life Getting away with it all my life I thought I gave up falling in love a long long time ago I guess I like it but I can't tell you, you shouldn't really know And it's been true all my life Yes, it's been true all my life I've been talking to myself just to suggest that I'm selfish (Getting ahead) I've been trying to impress that more is less and I'm repressed (I should do what he said) Getting away with it...
-
We're thick, don't realise they're conmen and are sitting there going "what happened" are we? That's despite our fans lobbying the Premier League for answers and getting a meeting with Scudamore. Handing him a list of the characters involved in the swindling of PFC (which the PL stood by and allowed to happen - that's all we blame the PL for, lack of a process to vet potential owners thoroughly), speaking to and meeting journalists from as far afield as Israel about the people involved (the name Shelly Narkis was unknown in the saga until one of our fans brought it to the attention of a Guardian journo), continuing meetings with the sham administrator to at least try and put some pressure on him for answers about his and Chainrai's role in the farce of him supposedly trying to find a buyer when he hasn';t even started the forensic accounting yet) plus lots more that many Pompey fans are doing behind the scenes despite knowing that there's little chance of a positive outcome for all their efforts. What else would you suggest we do Phil? Let's not forget, just a day or so ago you said on here that Chainrai had been "stitched up" for the money he loaned Faraj. There never was a loan. It was a ploy to allow him to take over the club and bleed it dry. Who do you think Faraj's mystery backer was that resulted in Gaydamak refusing to sell the club to him in the first place? Of course, we could be as proactive as Saints fans were when faced with administration and have some pizza facede 15 year old with a bum fluff tache organise a march. No disrespect fellas but the ones getting cheated here are the Pompey fans.
-
And all along you've been wrong. Dave Richards was at the Champs League final when Gaydamak met Fahim to discuss selling him the club but Richards didn't introduce them. They were introduced by Shinawatra's right hand man. This has been so well documented that it's hard to believe even you have failed to notice it Nick Nack. The Sun ran a sensational story that Richards "was there" when they were introduced. PL chairman present at European final involving PL teams shock. There is no conspiracy to help Pompey by the PL or anyone else. Just what are they have supposed to have done to help us? Er, the only time we got behind on tax was when Gaydamak stopped funding the club and the bank demanded £40m back overnight. The 18m we owe is approx 4 months worth. Not right I know but the club did offer to pay HMRC between £4 - £5m back but HMRC declined saying they wanted the full amount in one go. As for buying our way out of the Championship, just what are you trying to do now? (and also tried when Wilde was in charge) Team in resting players before a big game shock. Are you seriously trying to tell me that Saints have never rested players for a big game? That's not cheating, that's professional football. See above. How are they saving us? And very few Pompey fans are blaming the PL. Most are blaming the unholy alliance of Fahim/ Faraj/ Chainrai for using the club to wring as much cash out of to line their own pockets. I hope we don't get the Europa League place, pretty much for the reasons you state. But if Saints were in the same position you'd be trying to get the go ahead to play and defending your stance. 90% of posters on here were adamant you shouldn't have been put into admin because it was your "parent company" that went bust. I know some said you should take your punishment but the majority wanted you to wriggle out of it on a technicality. So please don't try and behave as if you lot are some paragon of virtue. We've been docked 9 points as per the rules and if we don't exit admin with a CVA we'll be docked more points, again as per the rules. What exactly are we "getting away with". What is a suitable punishment? This is solely because it's Pompey and you hate us being above you. If it was another club you'd have barely mentioned it Which is exactly the concerns most Pompey fans have. Especially when Andronikou is coming out with his "Chainrai is the only credible option" ********. Whatever Chainrai says about not wanting the club is rubbish. His plan is to rape us for all he can then liquidate us and hope to sell the land on top of that. He's not put a penny into the club, has already secured £14m for nothing for a non existent "loan" that never happened and appointed an administrator who shares the same legal firm as him to carry on the stripping. Yet somehow we're "getting away with it".
-
Sorry to **** on your chips everyone who's raised this point but the reason we were able to wear the new Kappa kit was because the previous supplier (Canterbury) went bust earlier in the year so sorry but I can't see any more legal fees coming our way. Try and keep up eh? More worrying from my point of view is the 5 year deal with Kappa. I suspect Andronikou has done the deal at a knock down price and the money will have gone straight to Chainrai. One last thing on my last post of the day. There was a post earlier about something posted on a Pompey board about info being sent to the BBC (good to see you lot still scouring Pompey messageboards). The guy who posted that is a friend of mine and whilst I'm not saying all I've been told about it it apprently concerns Azougy and details of someone instructing Pompey's staff that Azougy was to have full control of the clubs finances. Could cause real problems for some people I'm told. before you gloat about points deductions, whilst that's a possibility, remember that if it's shown that the club has been the victim of criminal intent there's even a possibility that the current points deduction could be rescinded. Not saying that will happen but it's in the PL rule book Bye for now girls

LOL. Yes, you were complimentary about our fans (the only one on here I who has been I might add) but to claim you're being magnanimous when you go on to say that the refree was possibly corrupt is a bit much, wouldn't you say? I wasn't being defensive at all, just pointing out that in football sometimes you get the decisions and sometimes you don't. As for your fans not being bitter and twisted, just read the thread about the game yesterday started by the Romsey Retard and try and tell me that with a straight face. Some of the claims and quotes in there are so laughable it's untrue. The fact that you yourself said our fans were great yesterday when somany of your other fans said we were crap says it all about how Saints fans are in denial about the volume Pompey fans generate. Post after post about how deluded the media are about us. So thanks for your comments Bexy but saying the ref was possibly corrupt negates your claim maganimity Like I said, read the Pompey Spurs match thread and tell me there's no bitterness. As for not reading what's written, that's some advice you could give to your own fans about many of my posts. If people actually read what I wrote rather than just knee jerking in response they might understand some of my comments properly Phil, have you seen this substantiated anywhere or have you been caught up in the speculation. As far as I'm aware nothing has been agreed about any deal to bring parachute money forward (maybe behind close doors I guess but I've seen nothing in the press detailing it). Pompey fans are dead against the idea as, like you say, it will undoubtedly go straight in Chainrai's pocket. Would be interested if you coudl post a link to prove what you're saying No, I've only been on here this season because we've done so well all year haven't I? PMSL
-
PMSL, you girls aren't bitter at all are you? So you're saying now we may have bought off the ref? Sorry, but that's the way football goes. Some decisions go for you and some go against you. Dawson slipped but there were a couple of times when our strikers could have been through but slipped. And whilst those decisions went for us there were at least three fantastic opportunities we had to score that we didn't take. If we want to talk about dodgy decisions let's talk about the winning goal in the 1976 cup final that should clearly have been flagged as offside. Shall we debate that one? We got the rub of the green yesterday and won the game. The same's happened to you lot on many occasions because that's the way football goes. Just get over it. The bitterness you're showing is making you look ridiculous and not a little pathetic.
-
Yeah, we've just worked that out. Despite Pompey fans going as far as meeting with Israeli journalists months ago and petitioning the PL to chiuck these ******s out of the club months ago we've "just" worked it out. You lot really do think you're something special don't you. It's laughable "Potentially worth hundreds of millions"? PMSL

I've highlighted my favourite parts and added some comments THE administrator responsible for investigating Portsmouth’s opaque financial dealings and mismanagement has been severely criticised by a High Court judge for “manifestly inappropriate” conduct during a recent insolvency. Andrew Andronikou is also under investigation over another collapsed company, The Sunday Times can reveal. The first case centres on allegations by a creditor of fabricated loans and vote rigging in the personal insolvency of a fashion tycoon. In a separate corporate insolvency last year, HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) forced Andronikou’s replacement with a new liquidator. Andronikou has promised to unravel the tangled web of ownership behind Portsmouth and to report any money-laundering activity or suspicious commission payments. However, these recent insolvencies raise questions about his independence and willingness to investigate fully the financial claims of those who engage his services and others connected to the Premier League club. On Tuesday HMRC accepted the validity of the administration to save costs from protracted litigation, it said. However, according to one official, Andronikou’s background was “not helping” to allay residual concerns about financial transactions at the club. Andronikou expressed “surprise” that the taxman had dug into his past. He said HMRC was understandably upset because since losing its preferred creditor status in 2003 it must stand in line with other unsecured creditors behind “the elevated status of football creditors”. Andronikou, a partner at UHY Hacker Young, the accountants, denied acting improperly and suggested he was the victim of a smear campaign by rivals. (PMSL) The most damaging criticism of Andronikou is within a High Court ruling in December 2008. An appeal judge overturned an attempt by Shami Ahmed, the founder of Joe Bloggs, the clothing company, to avoid bankruptcy through an individual voluntary arrangement (IVA) handled by Andronikou. HMRC and a spread-betting firm then known as Tradindex had opposed the IVA, which needed approval from three-quarters of Ahmed’s creditors. The fashion boss had run up more than £4m in gambling debts. But the IVA was successful because Andronikou had accepted the validity of £8m in alleged loans to Ahmed from members of his family, thereby making them creditors and giving them a vote on the IVA. (Does this sort of conduct sound familiar? Our "debt somehow increasing from £75m in the Vantis report to £100m since Andronikou took over, meaning HMRC's claim is less than 25%) At an appeal by Tradindex, the judge took a different view and disallowed £5m of these family loans, thereby overturning Ahmed’s IVA, and he was forced into bankruptcy. The judgment said: “Mr Andronikou’s conduct in these proceedings, particularly in relation to evidence filed by him on behalf [of Ahmed and his family], was manifestly inappropriate.” The judge also found that Andronikou “did fail to meet the standard to be expected of a reasonably competent insolvency practitioner”. Andronikou told The Sunday Times that the vote-rigging allegation was “absolute ********” and explained he had relied on his underlings to assess the validity of the Ahmed family claims. The second case involves the voluntary liquidation of Aqua, a London-based commercial laundry that serviced various top hotels. The taxman disputed a £500,000 debt, which the sole director claimed his insolvent company owed him. But last May Andronikou agreed to be replaced as the liquidator ahead of a High Court hearing. Last night Stephen Hunt, the new liquidator chosen by HMRC, confirmed that he is investigating “the director and Andronikou’s conduct in the run-up to the insolvency”. Andronikou said it was a “pragmatic” decision to step down as Aqua’s liquidator because the case had become “too political”. He again described any suggestion of impropriety as “********”. (Classy guy) HMRC is separately prosecuting Peter Storrie, the former Portsmouth chief executive, and Harry Redknapp, the former manager, for alleged tax offences. Andronikou does not believe HMRC is trying to replace him as administrator to get access to internal correspondence and the club’s accounts. An HMRC spokesman said that it would be “keeping a watchful eye”. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/football/premier_league/portsmouth/article7069905.ece Nick, just who did you want to see trimmed? Mostly anyone of a senior nature has gone and they can't get rid of the players due to their contracts. And what laws have PFC flouted "time and time again"? (that's the club, not some of the chancers who have become involved). Yes we owe HMRC for about 4 months unpaid tax and NI but that's as a direct result of Standard Bank demanding £40m be repaid overnight. Pompey fans too hope HMRC challenge Andronikou and Chainrai's claim to be a secured creditor. We want these leeches out of the club. As for the "cheat thing" for Pompey resting players before a semi final, give it up because you all sound silly
-
Why do you think Pompey fans are so down on him being administrator chaps. His record at Swindon and the dirt in the Sunday Times article would be enough but when he's appointed by Chainrai and shares a solicitor with him (but says they'd never met) and then keeps saying Chainrai's the only credible person to take over after admin it just stinks more and more. He's been there 8 weeks but hasn't started the forensic accounting yet? Excuse me but isn't that a vital part of finding a new owner? Let's not even discuss him starting to talk about running the business for the next couple of seasons or his blatant obstruction of the group looking to take over. He's part of the same corrupt crew (Chainrai, Azougy, Jacobs and their cronies) who have siphoned off millions from the club that could and should have been used to pay creditors. It's not the club, it's not the fans, it's these ******s. And it's pretty clear that despite putting nothing into the club (Chainrai paid £17m to Pompey, Faraj transferred it straight to the Falcondrone BVI account and then no doubt it was transferred straight back to Chainrai's/ Portpin's BVI account) Chainrai will walk away with at least £14m (plus whatever he's already leached out of us) along with the next couple of years parachute payments if Andronikou gets his way. No wonder you lot are loving it.
-
Agree about the away ticket thing. I was saying the same on here about Pompey's gates before this season but everyone said I was talking 5hite. But there are plenty of games on that list where it wasn't due to away teams not selling allocations. But why would you remove the cup games Stuey? When you said that the only games when you didn't sell out was because of a boycott, what you actually meant was the only games we didn't sell out was when there was a boycott. Or it was a cup game. Or it was a midweek game. Or it was on TV. Or we just didn't sell enough tickets. PMSL. Face facts, there were plenty of occasions when for whatever reason you didn't sell out a 15,000 capacity ground. You said there was a waiting list for memberships so why didnt those people snap up tickets for midweek or cup games that were going begging? Pompey fans are being asked to pay nearly £40 to watch a team that's been relegated since before a ball was kicked with any decent players sold and the proceeds lining the pockets of a bunch of crooks. Is it any wonder crowds have dipped? Are you seriously telling me that in the same circumstances Saints crowds would still be selling out St Mary's? I do usually but I've started my new job now (which I guess a quick ISP check by Baj compared to some old posts would confirm) and I don't get as much time as the job's much more hectic. Plus Stuey's funny little rant made me chuckle so much I felt I had to respond.
-
I take it you didn't actually read the post I made yesterday then? Go back and read what I actually wrote then feel free to comment again This is, unfortunately, completely and utterly untrue. The cheapest adult tickets are for two small sections in the Milton (away) end and the North stand at £20 a time. All the other sections are around £38 for adults minimum. I've posted the link below so you can check it out for yourselves https://www.eticketing.co.uk/portsmouth/eventtickets.aspx?q=WOXodqKCeRQps8dqUJRF5rZTpPzMZQylIJYgMHJAFZJWuN8tsTZqqZ1_godVcYNa0icpMY6MQuetQK0l3Sd6Ie-DmHwsowwySSYnXJAncieNvv35AcS1LzyuU2sLZvnUyYKZ1JT6Ei2jr_0yqrIun2Te0a681i0UwJvrVlO4RRkWNmeq4RNCLG8As2bN1LKkAYNbiJCLi7VaJqGg5nkpRI_qef4dtbqAoC6PjFq4LKPemopy3nwJIAhdtJb-84gCh_-pQMqxLPViDkd_Ba5ECdyfFTHkxNoBFy8podSkAMlg_rAyNDCnph7yEJNP_mmR0 On the subject of you selling out The Dell every game, long waiting lists, waiting lists for membership etc, a quick trawl through Soccerbase produced the following info. I'm sure there will be reasons from you all why this happened but it does seem like an awful lot of games to have held boycotts for: 17/9/97 vs Brentford (LC) 8004 2/10/95 vs West Ham 13568 4/10/95 vs Cardiff LC 12709 25/10/95 vs WH 11059 20/11/95 vs Villa 13582 7/2/96 vs Crewe FA 13736 28/2/96 vs Swindon FA 13962 20/3/96 vs Weds 13216 25/3/96 vs Coventry 14461 20/8/94 vs Blackburn 14209 17/9/94 vs Forest 14185 20/9 2000 vs Mansfield LC 8802 21/9/99 vs Man City LC 10960 4/10/99 vs Derby 14208 13/10/99 vs Liverpool LC 13822 23/9/98 vs Fulham 11645 19/12/98 vs Wimbledon 14354 2/1/99 vs Fulham FA Cup 12549 17/9/97 vs Brentford LC 8004 4/9/96 vs Forest 14450 18/12/96 vs Oxford LC 10737 Always sold out and couldn't get tickets my arse
-
Oh, I forgot to mention - I think your crowds this year have been pretty impressive. However, I also think it's fair to point out that you have been offering special deals like the £5 offer for the Hartlepool game recently so I wouldn't crow about it too much. With the exception of two small areas in the Milton End and the North Stand we're still being asked to pay £30 - £40 a ticket to watch a team that was effectively relegated before a ball was kicked and is having any money we paid sip[honed off to Chainrai's BVI bank acount. I'm surprised the crowds have been as high as they have been in the circumstances
-
The point is Crabby, your fans on here are telling me that there was a huge waiting list for tickets at The Dell. That's apparently not the case because even a brief glance at Soccerbase http://www.soccerbase.com/results2.sd shows that there were more than the odd occasion when your crowds dipped below the 15,000 capacity of the Dell. League cup crowds of 10 - 11,000 against PL opposition, plenty of times when the crowd was 13 - 14K (and I just looked at the 98/ 99 and 99/ 00 seasons). Now, that may be around 90% of capacity but the point is you couldn't even sell out 15,000 on a pretty regular basis. So quite why you lot this obsession about Pompey's crowds when they're considerably above that figure is laughable. As for the "bestest fans in the world" thing, there may be a few Pompey fans who think that's the case, just as there are at most clubs (your own included - I know because I've seen it written on here). But you're right, there are plenty in the media who regularly write that our fans are very vocal and I suspect that rankles because I very rarely see them write anything like that about you lot. And it seems to hurt you lot.

PMSL. Is this another one of those attendance threads that I'm always accused of starting? (even though I can't start threads). Love the way you girls always conveniently forget the times you couldn't sell out the massive 15,000 capacity Dell. Still, let's not let that detract from Stuey's ****athon eh? PS: Loving the "Lambert for England" thread on the main board too. ROTFPMSL.

Poor Crabby. So bitter. We used to be on friendly terms Crabby. You used to PM me and we talked about ****ging girls from different countries, do you remember? Do you also remember the PM you sent me telling me what your dad said when you were watching a Pompey game on TV together? That he wished your fans could generate an atmosphere like the Pompey fans did? Given you'd tell me things like that via PM Crabby I can only speculate what's turned you against me. And as my tone hasn't changed on here from when I used to post I can only conclude that slipping down the divisions and seeing Pompey above you has made you a bitter young Johnny Depp lookalike. Sad It happened. They were shown proof of funds. And then it turned out to be the scam by Chainrai that's still being played out. Why do you keep repeating that "see socially" thing? It seems to really rattle your cage for some reason. Would it have been better if I'd said we see them for dinner or go round their house for a few drinks every couple of weeks? Better? If Granty wants to grant me (see what I did there?) temporary PM privileges and drop me a line I'll let him have a few details about who I know at PFC which should be enough to covince him. It's up to Mr Grant. Before trying it on I'd suggest you learn how to spell "farewell" properly or you look a bit of a knob. We may well be relegated a couple of divisions but as long as the club survives I don't care. Been there before and enjoyed it at the time. Not like you arrogant bunch of schoolgirls who believe that because you spent a while in the top flight you "belong" there. You've got no more right to be there than anyone and clubs like Forest, Norwich, Boro, Leeds etc show that even if you get back there there's a good chance you'll be relegated again within a couple of seasons. As for not having a pot to **** in, at least our FA Cup ****e5 on the one you're competing for (I assume most of you think it's a fait accompli that you'll win?)

By the way, good to see that parenting skills are being kept up in Southampton. I see even football hooliganism is a father son bonding experience for you lot now (ps, PMSL that you've got a hoolie called "Xavier") Fourteen men have appeared in court charged with violent disorder following clashes between rival Portsmouth and Southampton fans. Only one of the accused - Alan Taylor, 30, of Milton Road, Southampton - pleaded guilty at Southampton Magistrates Court yesterday. The men, including Martin Bishop, 42, of Wheatlands, Fareham, are all charged over violence that erupted between fans before and after Pompey beat Saints 4-1 at St Mary's Stadium in Southampton last month. Their appearances came as police investigating trouble released footage to The News of clashes between fans near the ground in Britannia Road following the game. The shots, filmed from Hampshire Constabulary's fixed-wing aircraft, show an angry mob of hundreds of Southampton fans rush through the forecourt of Freeborn garage opposite St Mary's stadium after the match, hurling abuse at Pompey fans. Police officers in fluorescent yellow jackets can be seen trying to stop the baying crowd from breaking through a metal fence and rushing towards their rivals. Pompey fan Keith Strevett, 77, of South Road, Horndean, suffered a head injury after being hit by a rock thrown by opposing fans in Britannia Road. And fellow fan Robert Graeney, 51, of Kimberley Road, Southsea, Portsmouth, suffered a cut about one in long below his left eye after being hit by flying debris. About £30,000 worth of damage was done to property at the Freeborn garage during the trouble. So far eight men have been charged after police released CCTV of 10 suspects wanted in relation to violence on derby day. In total 23 men have now been arrested and charged as part of Operation Austen. James Koral, 20, of Haddon Drive, Eastleigh, Michael Byles, 24, of Aldemoor Road, Southampton, Matthew Hinton, 19, of Hillside Avenue, Southampton and Ross Phillips, 28, of Swift road, Southampton, also appeared before Southampton magistrates yesterday. Lewis Buckley, 24, of The Milburns, Romsey, James Smith, 34, of Brentwood Crescent, Southampton, Christopher Stevens, 46, of Stagbrake Close, Southampton, Xavier Whyte, 22, of Wilton Road, Southampton, Kevin Medway, 28, of Old Farm Drive, Townhill Park, Southampton, also appeared. And Stephen Jordan, 49, and son Cameron Jordan, 21, of Middle Road, Southampton, and Marcus Bevan, 22, of Warburton Road, Southampton appeared before the court. More than 260 officers were involved in policing the match on February 13, including mounted officers on horseback from Thames Valley Police, police dog handlers and the British Transport Police. Taylor was released on unconditional bail to appear at Southampton crown Court for sentencing on April 22. The remaining 13 accused were released on unconditional bail to appear at Southampton crown Court on May 7. I have to say I'm very disappointed there are no Stuart X's from Romsey on that list. I thought given his military training he'd have been a shoo in to be leading the charge http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/newshome/Fans-in-court-over-Saints.6183960.jp

Why are you girls getting so worked up about a story (in The Mirror of all places) that doesn't contain one actual quote? It's good to see that your complete and utter disinterest in all things Pompey is still in place though. Good luck in the B & Q Own Label Tin of Emulsion Trophy though. Will you "paint the town red" if you win?

The only way we'll avoid it is if someone does a deal to buy us. Your point about Chainrai's creditor status is an interesting one because if he becomes an unsecured creditor HMRC control less than 25% of the debts. However, it's been widely reported that Gaydamak would accept far less than the £30m he's supposedly owed and Chainrai has allegedly already had much of the money he's owed. The point is no-one really knows what our debts are - it goes up and doen in the papers every day. The Lloyd group is apparently genuine but the concern many Pompey fans have is that Chainrai appointed the administrator and that he'll favour Chainrai much as he was supposed to have done with the Swindon chairman (who also appointed him). However, the biggest opportunity for any new owner would be a new stadium at Horsea, backed by a hotel chain and incorporating the concert hall. If someone were to take a long term view that could change everything - but who knows if that will happen. Your points about the players are completely valid but all depends on if new owners come in. There is interest but if Chainrai buys the club back then we're fooked. Hope that helps Man U make massive money to sign players on big wages from SKY, sponsorship deals, merchandise sales etc etc etc. You make money from gate receipts and sign players because Liebherr is happy, for now, to pay for them. Do you not understand the diffference? Your success is dependent on the same factor Pompey's (relative) recenty success has been - an owner willing to throw money at the club.
