Sorry, was the part I wrote that I thought it "doubtful anything would happen" mistakenly read as "this is definitely going to happen and PFC are saved and will be in the Champs League in two years"? Just interested to know why you girls responded in the way you did?

Hello girls. Grim times indeed for Pompey but good to see that, once again, you're still proving that complete indifference about my club and showing that you don't care about us at all. How many pages/ posts is this thread running to now? When you looked like going pop the situation merited a two page thread on POL. Still, I guess that proves that, like you keep telling me, we're far more obsessed with you than you are with us. As for your kind comments about me, as I've said before (do you have trouble with basic English? I guess you do) I am still on garden leave. I had a 6 month notice period so I'm still having a relaxing time at home thanks for asking. Anyway, just to comment on a few of your lovely posts. You seem to misunderstand. Any Pompey fans I know or whose posts I read don't blame the PL for holding back the money at all. They (and I for that matter) believe it's absolutely the right thing to do in the circumstances. They're pointing the finger at the PL for allowing people with no funds and who clearly didn't have the means to run a football club to take us over. The FAPPT is nothing to do with this. That's just a test to become a director of a club. But we're told that any owner has to submit paperwork to the PL to prove his suitability to own a club in the "best league in the world". Al Faraj clearly doesn't have the money to run PFC as a going concern. So how was he approved by the PL to own us. What checks were done? A couple of fans have written to the PL and asked if they ever even met Faraj. The PL have yet to answer that one. Before you say "so what", remember that your owner has undoubtedly not bought you because he's a lifelong Saints fan. He's bought you to get you back in the PL and then sell you on for a profit. But who does he sell you to and what if they turn out to be a bunch of property developers who pocket all the SKY money, sell all your players, then put the club into liquidation, buy the land back cheap through a shell company and build a load of flats on the site where the Ikea Flatpack Dome once stood. Would you ask the PL what they did to ensure the owners were suitable to own your club? We do realise that. Do you realise that if you'd disappeared no-one would have missed you lot either? Or do you think Saints are a massive draw for all football fans? LOL Many of you on here seem a bit confused as to who's lent PFC money and seem to think it's Gaydamak. The guy who lent the club £15m is called Chainrai and is a guy who hates Gaydamak. Gaydamak Jnr or Snr aren't putting any money into the club. Is it all a bit complicated for you to follow? Funny you should say that. Two parties interested in buying PFC at the moment. Probably nothing will come of it, there have been quite a few who've expressed an initial interest but have then backed off. But one of these two is an arab and apparently has actually got some money, unlike the other two. Doubtful if anything will happen though. Am told the other one is Irish
-
Actually, if you read it properly PFC are up to date with HMRC to Nov 09. This demand is for this month (ie Dec 09's) money! We're also up to date with payments to Watford - next installments are due in Jan. As for you Bexy, wash your mouth out with soap.
-
I've already found the new job you dozy ****, that's why my current (soon to be ex) employers put me on garden leave. I just popped on to see you girls' excited reaction to the winding up order. I'm just passing a bit of time before setting off for the Arsenal game tonight. Who knows, it might be our last one. Thanks for your kind words everyone. I didn't realise I was still so popular. . However, I'm not bitter at all. Just resigned to relegation and hoping that the club somehow get rid of the ****s who own it and manage to stay afloat.
-
PMSL. Good to see the fans of the "family club" showing their class over the plight of their neighbours. You're such a bunch of girly hypocrites. No doubt Nick Nack will be trying to justify his glee at Pompey's situation by saying we laughed at you going into admin when anyone on here knows that most Pompey supporters were pretty supportive of you. Even me, unbelievably Don't know why Clapham and Nick Nack are so interested in what I'd say. I've said from the start of the season that we'd be relegated due to that clown Fahim's actions in the summer so it's not exactly news, is it. As for whether winning the cup was worth it, it bears no relation really. We're in this situation because Gaydamak didn't pay back loans. If you want to know what I feel, my worry is that the club will cease to exist and will be liquidated so the ****s now in charge can develop the land. But before you laugh too loudly, just think, Liebherr's undoubtedly bought you as an investment to punt on for a profit at some point. You've got no say in who buys you and someone could come in and do the same to you as they've done to PFC. Happy new year girls and if we stay in business maybe we'll spank you 4 - 1 again next year in the chumpionship.
-
"Lost all credibility" - ROTFPMSL. Nick Nack, this is a football message board, not the House of Commons (mind you, talking about credibility . . . . ). This is almost as funny as when you once said my "position" on here was "untenable". Now, call me strange but it seems to me that you seem to place a lot more importance on what people post here than most. You pompous old duffer. My position has never changed in what I said. I post on here to pass the time at work. I'm now not at work. Therefore, I don't post. In the words of the youth of today "simples". By all means post something where I've contradicted what I've just said Nick Nack but as it's what I've said since I started posting on this boards forerunner when we were in the Championship I have every confidence you'll ahev problems doing so. But knock yourself out having a go. I said at the start of this season that I thought we'd go down and my opinion hasn't changed so quite what I'm slinking away from God alone knows. Big kisses CH
-
Blimey girls, even when I'm away you can't stop talking about me. Like I said when I posted before, I only posted on here to pass the time when I was in the office and as I'm now on garden leave for 6 months (aren't legal contracts wonderful) I don't spend any time reading the bumpkin barminess that you lot of tractor driving pony fiddlers come up with. Good to see the post about Pompey (the team you all tell me you couldn't care less about let's not forget) is now long enough to resemble a Thomas Pynchon novel. As for Under Weststand's post, I hope the cretis isn't trying to say that I was trumpeting Maradona arriving as Pompey's manager and bringing in Eto'o and chums as I certainly didn't. Maybe he'd like to post a link to me quoting it. Oops. Changing you tune their Phil. When Al Faraj took over you were telling all and sundry that Saudi money couldn't possibly be behind it as he was employing Israelis. What's happened to that theory. Enjoy it while it lasts though Scumlettes. We all know we're down this season so you'd better put a run together for a playoff place so you can play some more piped crowd noise at the derby game next year.
-
Forgot to tell you gimps, keep an eye out for major news on Storrie, Hart and the PFC board next week. Cheerio scumlettes
-
Why is it you mongs think the plan was to build a floating stadium? PMSL. It was planned to be built on reclaimed land. Just how dumb are you? That's priceless coming from someone who was noticeably absent when the news that al Faraj had bought us came out after proudly telling me that there was no way Faraj would do it. Where did you disappear to then Crabby? As for me, sorry to tell you girls that I'm not on here much because I'm not at work. I've been poached by a rival company and my employers policy is to put anyone in that position on garden leave. I'm happy to say that as my notice period was six months I'm now strolling around with lots of free time on my hands. A I've said many times I don't tend to post on here from home, only usually when I was at work so my appearances will be few and far between. But as I know how much you all miss me I'll drop by from time to time to see just how little interest you have in PFC (as you always tell me - how many pages is this thread runnig to now? PMSL again). You can't work it out Nick Nack? I've told you several times that as I'm not a member I can't start threads. Not hard to understand surely, even for a geek like you.
-
Funny, I thought the column showing FA Cup attendances showed crowds for that competition. If you insist otherwise, how do you explain our season average being roughly the same for the year we won the cup to the years when we went out in round 3/4? That's my three posts for today scumlettes. Less than 13,000 at The Dell. ROTFPMSL
-
In that case, would you care to explain to me how many teams in the PL have grounds of a capacity between 67,000 and 75,000? Because that's what Man Utds average has been for the past few years. Unless, of course, the website calculates it's stats on the repective team's home games only, which means the average attendance at Fratton is 19,900 over the last 6 years. Or will you admit you're wrong? http://www.european-football-statistics.co.uk/england.htm
-
Maybe not 9 - 12K but looking at that website puts to bed once and for all the myth that The Dell was always sold out and that you couldn't get a ticket. Leaving aside all the games during the 92/ 93 and 93/ 94 seasons you mentioned (there must have been a lot of games boycotted those years - LOL) in season 94/ 95 (when your capacity seems to have been around 15,200 (that's your biggest gates anyway) there were 9 games where you failed to sell out by significant number and 6 games the following season where the same happened. What happened to all those people on waiting lists for ST's? PMSL. In 93/ 94 you had a game where you got less than 13,000 and another of barely over 13,000, plus plenty in the low 14,000's. Same the following season. What happened? Was it a carry over from the Branfoot "boycotts" like in Spinal Tap where they said the support band were so bad the crowd were still booing him when they were on stage? Couldn't sell out The Dell - PMSL. Just how many times have you sold out the 32,000 capacity at St Mary's? How many times exactly in the years you've been there? Struggled to fill it? Another myth you keep trying to peddle on here. Average across the 6 seasons since we were promoted is 19,990 per game (see link). In a stadium that holds just over 20,000. Struggle to fill it - LOL http://www.european-football-statistics.co.uk/england.htm
-
Nick Nack, just how ****ing lame are you? You don't need to search through anything for my quote. I posted it on this page with a link to the original. The fact about new and better players attracting more people to buy season tickets was, of course, exactly the point I was making you dopey ****. We haven't filled the stadium for three games. Those three games were after a new owner came in and sold every decent player we had with the exception of James and replaced them with inferior alternatives. I'm sure you Saints fans are the only fans in the world who'd have snapped up every season ticket going in a similar circumstance. And please don't trot out the line that Lowe sold all your players. Your sales were spread over a number of seasons, not six months like ours were. As for a "large percentage of fickle fans" can we not count the 15,000 or so Saints fans who deserted you as soon as you started struggling? No idea how many ST's we've now sold as I haven't asked (it's not an obsession for me like it is for you) but half season tickets are just going on sale so we should easily be able to see how many have sold in total very soon. Read the original post Nick Nack. The link was placed there for you.
-
Who's gloating? I think the phrase "whether that's true or not we'll have to wait and see" sort of indicated my thinking. Incidentally, where's diminiuative Bond villain Nick Nack today. Was hoping for a response to my comment about his (latest) season ticket post.
-
It's been widely reported that the al Faraj takeover is a consortium so no suprise that others are involved. I think you'll also find that I've mentioned a few times on here that I've been told that he has backing from a branch of the Saudi royal family. Whether that's true or not we'll have to wait and see. Incidentally, given how secretive Faraj has been it's amazing to see how many papers are intimately aware of his plans, don't you think? Also, how amazing that all these people should be allegedly interested in investing in Pompey when everyone on here told me we'd struggle to find investors.
-
Thing is Phil, everything could be as you say but as it's English reporting they're likely to put a British take on things - as you have said a few times that Pompey posters on here have done (ie taking a "western view of things). His "contacts" could be the elders you speak about or it could be his contacts in the Saudi FA (coaches and the like). It's open to interpretation. As for the comment about a "trust fund", again, that could be a phrase used by a british journo in "westernising" something he's read. I'm not saying it is but again, it could be someone misinterpreting something. We'll wait and see I guess. How many times are you going to ask the same question Nick Nack and how many times am I going to show you up as a ****? It's gone up to me saying we'd sold 13,500 ST's now, has it? LOL. Here's the actual quote from me on the subject. Read the highlighted bit carefully and maybe have the nurse in your care home explain it to you: "it's somewhere around 12,000 so far but with numbers expected to go to the full 16,000 once the takeovers completed and new players start to arrive to calm people down a bit." http://saintsweb.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?p=396809&highlight=season+tickets#post396809 Let me explain in simple language so even you can understand Nick Nack. It was 12,000, not 13,500. And I was told they expected to hit 16,000 once we signed a few decent players with the money Fahim had promised. At the time we only thought Fahim was a bit of a ****, not a complete and utter fantasist with no money whatsoever. So when we didn't sign any quality replacement players to replace the likes of Crouch, Johnson and Distin people felt let down and we didn't sell as many ST's as expected. Can even a mong like you understand that now? Or is it still too difficult for you. :smt100 Wouldn't be at all surprised. Or maybe the DOF position at Pompey has more power than the one at Chelsea. Either way we all know Hart's on borrowed time. Not exactly earth shattering news is it? 1. New regs kicked in Jul. Al Faraj didn't take the FAPPT with the PL until late August when he tried to buy the club for the first time, only for Gaydamak to sell to Fahim. 2. The FAPPT does not assess an individual's wealth. It just tests whether he's suitable to become a director of a club. If someone actually takes ownership of a club there's another set of tests the PL carry out (including checking they have sufficient money and the provenance of that cash) before they will recognise them as the owner. That's why Fahim never submitted the ownership documents to the PL.
-
Who's the one wriggling Crabby? Your first post said to look at our attendances for the last three years as proof we don't fill our ground. Since we came up, our average attendances have been: 20,108 20,072 19,840 19,862 19,914 19,830 http://www.european-football-statistics.co.uk/england.htm That's an average of 96-97% capacity. The average has declined by less than 300 since our first season. Therefore your post about "seing our last two to three seasons attendances for proof is rubbish. Percentages might mean nothing if it's a ground holding 400 but you keep saying our attendances are declining markedly. They're not. You're now trying to twist the argument to relate to your crowds. That wasn't your original point. You've changed your argument because you've been shown, once again, to be wrong. Just admit it How many times have you sold out your 32,000 seater since it was built? Phil, quick question. Would the head of the Saudi FA definitely know/ know of al Faraj or his family even if he was nothing to do with football and he and his family were extremely private individuals who like to keep out of the limelight?
-
Wasn't saying it's definitely going to happen, just that for most Pompey fans, if they were offered a choice of a new stadium at Horsea or a revamped Fratton Park they'd rather stay at Fratton.
-
Oh dear Crabby. So, after your post about how far our attendances have dropped in the last two seasons (proven to be completely and utterly wrong) and now this little gem it seems like you're fast turning into a sort of King Midas in reverse figure. Hopefully you're predicing definite relegation for us this season. If so, given your current success rate we might even qualify for Europe. Good prediction Clappers. Oh, hang on . . . . Great stuff. Keep me updated if you hear any more from your impeccable source. So, despite direct quotes from Al Faraj you're saying he hasn't bought Pompey because a Saudi wouldn't employ a Jew. Is that correct? No new stadium at Horsea but I think most Pompey fans would prefer to see Fratton redeveloped anyway. Horsea would have looked nice according to the plans but it's way out of the city centre, away from the pubs and bars that people traditionally use pre match. Question for the older Saints on here - if you could have redeveloped Tjhe Dell to a 30,000 capacity would you rather have stayed there ot moved to St Marys?
-
I think you'll find it wasn't a "kidney operation" it was a quick op to remove a kidney stone. Allegedly. Whether he had it or not (most Pompey fans seem to think it was fictitous) kidney stones operations are mostly done as day surgery these days so it's not as implausible as you're suggesting. Having said that, looking at the photos that Fahim had published of him wearing his hospital patient wristband I have just one question. How many of you have ever been in a hospital that allowed you to wear your watch under your wristband? Not suggesting anything of course
-
Couple of things here. Al Faraj wasn't sueing Gaydamak Snr but one of the other consortium members apparently was. That guy is allegedly no longer involved. Even if you do or don't believe that, since Gaydamak originally sold to Fahim, Arkadi Gaydamak (that's Gaydamak Snr) has been indicted by the Israeli courts for money laundering/ tax evasion and has fled back to Russia. However, all his bank accounts in Israel have been frozen meaning his money is inaccesible. He's got no cash. Can anyone see a reason why Gaydamak Jnr might change his tune now and agree to sell to the Al Faraj lot? Quick question to Dubai Phil. Do you know anything about Ali Al Faraj, the family in general or Sabic (who he apparently has a big stake in). Unlike Fahim he doesn't seem to like cameras or publicity and there's virtually nothing about him on the web. There seems to be some suggestion that Sabic have a few problems at the moment but I've been told that he has backers in his bid to buy PFC from a branch of the Saudi royal family (I know that doesn't exactly narrow things down a lot). What's his reputation like in the middle east?
-
You must be one of the mongs who think that when I posted Pompey transfer gossip I was saying Pompey were going to sign every player mentioned rather than recycling gossip from the papers and websites (the clue's in the word "gossip") As for cumming with excitement about Dr Doolitte's plans - when was that then? Apart from the very initial surprise I've always said that he has no money himself and needs backers. If you'd care to track back through the various threads you can read that for yourself. If you think I was saying we'd sign the likes of Messi, Eto'o etc read back at the posts and see for yourself. The stadium things were a bit different. The initial pitch rotation thing I admit to being taken in by but only at the outset when Mandaric said the development ahd been costed at £28m. Once it became apparent it would cost more than that I admitted I was wrong. As for the Hard development I never said it would definitely happen, just that the figures added up. It was mostly Saints fans on here confusing the value of the development with the cost of it that made people say the figures didn't add up. And before people say I'm rewriting hsitory on that one I couldn't have been adamant that it would definitely go ahead when it was always going to go to a public inquiry for approval. Next up will be me saying Beattie was going to Villa. Even allowing for the fact that I could ask which club got done for tapping him up, I didn't say he would sign for them. I asked what he was doing at their training ground as a friend of a friend works there and saw him talking to O'Leary. There's other stuff I've been wrong about. There's also plenty of stuff I've been right about. Still, if it gives you a stiffy, **** yourself blind over it.
-
Clappers (I feel we know each other well enough for me to call you Clappers now) I wasn't suggesting he'd buy us out of admin. In fact, paying £5m as he has to keep the club out of administration surely indicates that what you've suggested isn't what he wants. My point was that if he's paid £5m as a loan to "help the club out" he must still be interested in buying it. Unless you can suggest an alternative. Bear in mind that this is a man that has already undergone the PL FAPPT in an attempt to buy Pompey before Gaydamak sold to Fahim at the last minute. Then why has he paid the £5m Crabby? If he sees an opportunity to develop the club maybe he thinks it's worth it. Of course, he's just a man who's made billions in property development so I'm sure he'll bow to your superior knowledge and expertise. Sportsmail has revealed that the Pompey owner's plans have been thrown into doubt after a rival consortium was called in to pay the players' wages. Chief executive Peter Storrie is understood to have come to the rescue by using his relationship with Ali al-Faraj to broker a deal. Saudi property magnate Al-Faraj will pump £5million into the beleaguered south-coast club to ensure the players are paid. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1217620/Portsmouth-drama-owner-Sulaiman-Al-Fahim-rushed-hospital-Dubai.html By the way, is the debt solutions advert at the top of the board a deliberate dig at me by Baj?
-
Hello scumlettes. Glad our very own Dr Doolitle is keeping you all entertained. What a ****ing moron the man is - although I have to say his latest stunt (the hospital admittance with his tame journo reporting from his bedside) almost had me on his side at the sheer chutzpah of it all (if I can use a Jewish term for an arab). It was Monday Nick. Is the search function too difficult for you to manage? I've not been around since then to post. Good to see you still find it hard to make a post without mentioning my name though. I've been told it was Faraj and the loan was for £5m. The question is - why? What's in it for him, eh Crabby? It's interesting that Faraj has stumped up £5m if what you write is the case. Can't see him doing it out of the goodness of his heart which can only mean he's still interested in buying the club. I don't believe he's from Portsmouth but as you say that's our only chance maybe I'd better check. He is backed by a branch of the Saudi royal family though. Seeing as we're pretty much down already he must see an opportunity in owning the club. Maybe he believes he can make money out of building us a new stadium (from the associated commercial developments and opportunities). Who knows. Seems like he is still interested though, doesn't it. He probably does. I know I genuinely wouldn't swap what's happening now if it meant we hadn't won the cup. Seeing Pompey lift the cup at Wembley was one of the greatest days of my life - as no doubt Saints doing the same was for those of you old enough to remember it. Teams fortunes go up and down. Looks like we're already down this season but if not we'll undoubtedly be relegated at some point in the future anyway. Most clubs are apart from the big 4. I wouldn't swap the cup win for anything
-
Not quite Nick Nack, there are plenty on the Pompey boards who question his part in our debts. They're maybe not as vocal as some, that's all. But the point is, Gaydamak was the one who held the purse strings. No point blaming Redknapp (as many Pompey fans do, wait until the next home game and Harry's return to his spiritual home for evidence of that) and whilst Storrie was Chief Exec, all he could do was ask Gaydamak if he would stump up the cash. If Gaydamak said "no problem" what was he supposed to do? The blame lies with Gaydamak. Storries a chancer, no doubt about it but he has done a brilliant job (along with our finance director) of keeping us afloat when many clubs would have folded. See above ESB and wait for Harry's trip back to Fratton in a couple of weeks. People often quote Storrie as being on a salary of £1.5m a year. His salary is way below that (around £500K I believe) but the £1.5m was one particular year (when we won the cup and qualified for Europe) and was made up in large part of bonuses for that success (cue Nick Nack "You bought your success, you bought your succcess"). As I've said before, Storrie may be paid more than a lot of Prem CEO's but he does a lot more than most of them. Anyway, join me in a quick chorus of the Fratton End's new favourite song: "We'll win again, don't know where, don't know when, but I know we'll win again some sunny day"
