  1. Actually mate the smoking ban has had a big effect on trading, in some locations. Take a look around city and town centre's, How many Yates' are left? not many I know about 6 I think. The problem was compounded by money hungry local council's charging ridiculous amounts to erect 'smoking shelters', in essence another smoking tax. So the larger companies BRG, TCPC, and Green King amongst others closed them as they were pretty much borderline on profits anyway. Its a shame about the brewery and I feel for the guys that have lost their jobs. Getting into a pub is hard enough, staying there is a challenge, getting a distribution deal....a godsend.
  2. Completley agree with you on that score. Some 8 or 9 passes and not a hope for any of the opposition to get anywhere near it. If only it could be like that even half the time we'd be untouchable.
  3. No they have been on, saw them around 9.15 this morning.....sorry. So glad i decided not to wait upfor them though, even happier that I'm 'working from home'.
  4. My sympathies go out to the family of the driver. My best wishes and I hope for a speedy recovery go to Mick and his son. MB
  5. Its not hard is it, use the resources at your disposal. The BBC have what, 4 channels? ITV have the same i think. Just about every single game in all of the football leagues have a camera and at least a reporter there, right? So why is it then that most of the time the channels aren't broadcasting, and if they are its repeats of some programme. Its not rocket science you can see where I'm going with this yeah! But instead the ****wits at ITV try to condense some 40ish games into what amounts to 50 minutes or thereabouts, add to that the endless plugs for Chumps league, UEFA etc etc, makes my blood boil. ANyway back on topic, those goals would of made any seasoned pro very pleased to have scored, and thanks to whoever put them up.
  6. Yep! completely agree with that....LMFAO
  7. Well in answer to that, their squad whilst not the strongest they could put out is certainly good enough and shows that they at least have a strong interest in this competition. Anyway see for yourselves http://www.blues.premiumtv.co.uk/page/News/NewsDetail/0,,10412~1375975,00.html As someone else said above a solid performance with neat fluent positive football will do me. I think the Blues will still be a little too strong for us but here's hoping. Saints 1 Brum 2
  8. Thanks for that, but still nothing I'm afraid, back to the holding page again, starting to think its an ISP/DNS problem. Never mind I only wanted to find a Derby forum and read about how suicidal they all are.. :smt046 Wnakers.
  9. Ok I seem to be one of the unlucky few that can't get on to the site, so a request from someone who can please. Could you post a link to the championship section, just want to see if I can get to that. By the MLG, the page it directs me too is a holding page I believe, did you get the domain from Godaddy.com?
  10. No crashes so big improvement there, but slowed dramatically second half - 30-45secs to refresh thread for me. MB
  11. McInally (sp.) in giving saints praise shocker: Svennson and Perry giving a 5 Star performance at the back for Saints.
