  1. I'm disappointed in you... Rich-ie is a clue!
  2. Say no more! Saints win again against the run of play. Richie, Richie, Richie!
  3. On another day both players would have been sent off, controlled aggression is fine as long as it is within the rules and spirit of the game but outright thuggery should be neither admired nor encouraged. How does it help us if players are being sent off regularly? Skill over physical intimidation any day please, we are the Saints and and have always played our way out of trouble with attractive football. If punch-ups are your thing then go watch Boxing.
  4. You refer contemptuously to the 'Ralph Out Brigade\ as if it was just one or two hecklers on the sidelines calling for him to go. Did you not see the recent poll on here where over 75% of sainst web users want rid? Wake up and sniff the coffee before you write your next load of tripe!
  5. JWP has shot his bolt and needs a spell on the bench to rest and get his head sorted out. He is a shadow of the player of the last couple of seasons and more like the one of 5 years ago when people groaned every time his name was announced as a starter. Nothing is working for him at the moment. Not one of his corners today caused the Gunners any problems and his free kicks are no longer as daunting to the opposition as they once were. More infuriatingly he has resorted to his old habits of sideways and backwards passes that breaks up our play and allows opponents to sort out their defensive shape before we attack. Today Diallo showed him up by his ball skills as he skipped past defenders.
  6. Er, KWP not worth a mention???
  7. He may be our player in principle but his relationship with the club will have soured after he was farmed out to Burnley (perhaps unwillingly even?). All the usual management crap about giving him game time is just political claptrap, truth is the club more or less told him that he wasn't good enough to get that game time here. If Nathan 's form continues and he keeps scoring at the current rate then he will be a hot property and a few clubs will be looking at him quite seriously not least Burnley themselves who could well find their way back to the top flight at the first attempt. He has settled in well there and if Burnley are a Premier League team next season and Nathan was key part of getting them there then, why would he want to come back here to be treated like **** again by Hasenhüttl but even more pertinently why would Burnley want to let him go. It will be embarrassing for the decision makers when one of the loanees actually turns out to be a hidden gem and the player tells them to sod off when they try to make a claim on him. His success will have had nothing to do with Flopp, it will be down to the skills of the Burnley coaching staff. Good luck Nathan!
  8. One and only old chap, one and only. Keep 'em guessing wouldn't you agree?
  9. Good work even if bit MLG
  10. Gosh, you have a good if slightly flawed memory. Just to correct the record, one of my sons used to be an Arsenal ST holder and on a few occasions he loaned me his ticket. I enjoyed watching Arsenal play and still do and The Emirates is a decent venue for an away day but most definitely I have never been a supporter in the sense of fan -aticism. Once a Saint always a Saint, it's in the DNA My point in this thread is not to over-play the youth card and use it as an excuse for poor or inept performances, if kids are good enough they are old enough.
  11. You know you're in trouble when the Man of the Match award on the night goes to Ché Adams
  12. Of course being the youngest squad in the Premier League has a lot to do with our performances and our league position, what do you expect raw, unpolished talent learning its trade in the hothouse of the best league in the world. ....and the second youngest squad by a matter of a few days? Arsenal
  13. What a dire load of tripe this match is. Neither side should be in the PL.
  14. Could it be that Hasenhuttl was being 'carried' by Watson, Fleming & Davis and the club have sacked the wrong people. You can never be sure that our down turn has coincided with their departure. I know we dissed those blokes as being useless but..............
  15. Should we pile money on it?
  16. Can you believe Blackmore questioning why some Saints fans were booing at the end? What planet does the man live on?
  17. Five subs! Last throw of the dice from Ralph? The one sub we badly need to make is for you Ralph.
  18. The league table doesn't lie, we are where we deserve to be and drastic surgery will be needed to restore our fortunes. A 3-1 defeat to the Hammers today is likely and will serve only to confirm the trajectory we are on. Ralphball like Trussonomics is dead in the water. Who will go first? Ralph on Monday, Truss on Tuesday................ Sunak will have to decide if replacing Truss is a better career option than replacing Semmens.
  19. To be fair none of the other strikers have a clue how to go about scoring goals and generally run around like headless chickens so why not give Theo a chance. He might surprise everyone and if not what's the loss.
  20. The majority of PL referees who apparently retain adolescent instincts.
  21. Sadly, we seem to have one already. Certainly has not been able to use us as a stepping stone if ever that was his intention.
  22. Then vote with your feet and your chequebook!
  23. Brownnose chiming in with his usual vacuous trash, has he become the official spokesperson for the secretive regime at Britannia Road
  24. Probably why RH is still here, the club would be in an even worse mess with a mass exodus to deal with.
  25. I am one of those fans of 30 years ago and incidentally one of those fans of 60 years ago and you are right, up with this we would not have put. Nowadays, I protest in my own way by voting with my feet and will not be stepping into St Mary's again until this bunch of clowns have moved on Blackmore has a voice and is in a position to be part of the solution but sadly has chosen to become part of the problem.
