If P*mpey get wound-up on Friday :Poll:
Horley CTFC Saint replied to StuRomseySaint's topic in The Saints
Restricted covenants don't always stand up to scrutiny. I would suspect however that any such covenant in this respect would be invoked if anyone tried to circumvent it in view of the likely strength of feeling of supporters and the local council -

Crawley Town went into administration a few years ago with assets of c£700 being their gym equipment - they didn't own the ground - and debts of I think c£1.5m - £2m (mostly to HMRC and the.......the guys that owned the club!!!!!) -
Stop moaning
-
If hearing decides they have been trading insolvently they have the power to liquidate the club and so it is outside the PL's hands - realistically though it wont happen
-
They'll go into administration - thats the most likely worst case scenario However, if they do go to the wall I'd rather the FA give a bye to Brum so we can concentrate on winning the rest of our league games
-
If we win our remaining 10 home games I reckon we will have a chance providing away form picks up a bit
-
Could they not put a roof on it an run a pipe in from the gasworks?

Why don't you ask him then - everyone is assuming it is the Echo that is **** stirring - where is the corroborating evidence?!? .........and whilst we're talking about accuracy have you tried using your spell check? -

John Suchet has more media clout than the Echo -

Sure it wasn't John Suchet - looks the more likely culprit to me. He was very annoyed with SFC I seem to recall? -

Not sure anything is worth a CTFC match ticket at the moment! But I agree with the rest of your comments -

He's a little bit special I've seen him, Charlie McDonald & Ben Strevens (now Brentford) and JP Pittman (now Wycombe) all whilst playing for Crawley and this guy shows the most promise for me. Not sure what he would be like in the Championship but reckon he's more than up to Div 1 -

He is - I've seen him play several times this season and reckon he could be as good as if not better than JP Pittman who went to Wycombe and seems to have done okay. He's certainly young enough to improve under the right guidance. Only concern was that he was injured earlier in the season so hope he doesn't turn out to be injury prone. -

Charlie Ademeno anyone - £100k from Crawley Town before Franchise FC get him He's quick, young and hungry -
I don't doubt that but reading some of the comments on here seems to suggest that half our fans think we should target it! We're only just past the half way stage of the season and its far from being a mathematical impossibility yet it seems that people already settling for a mid table finish. Why?
-
Just hope that they don't target mediocrity - the team has to aim high at this stage of the season and play-offs is not an unreasonable target. We have some very winnable away games coming up and on the face of it a generally easier second half of the season with a team that is much more a team than it was at the start of the season. So lets not start aiming for mediocrity just yet
-
Depends - if they are a Premier League club without a ground then yes it makes sense. If they are wound up and reformed as AFC Pompey or whatever then probably not they would be better off playing at somewhere like Havant & Waterlooville which has Conferenece Standard facilities and would be more affordable for a club starting out again albeit with a relatively large following.
