Not one for buying replica strips but I did buy this one. As a one off it was a great idea and a good way to generate extra money. Particularly liked the fact it didn't have a sponsors name on Hope we go back to stripes next year and generate more cash from the guys and girls that seem to buy the shirts year in year out. Also hope we get rid of the ticket booking fee next year as it very inconvenient having to organise my ticket purchasing for when I am actually at the ground which is 85 miles from home!

Shrews ticket prices (and SFC dig at them too!)
Horley CTFC Saint replied to Pancake's topic in The Saints
Perhaps the Shrews could charge a booking fee for every ticket purchased by their fans -
£3 is excessive though I was only charged £1.50 on a £50 opera ticket at the ENO - I thought they were meant to be the ultimate rip off

Well in fairness the Bournemouth Chairman's comments were pretty much the same as the Scunny Chairman's so fairs fair!
-
Absolutely - good business practice and if you comment on anything that may be controversial you could end up with a libel action against you!

Adkins has NOT signed - and may not do so now either !!!

Phew! That was a close shave -
And Sky has no axe to grind does it.......does it?

Why wouldn't their employment contracts include procedures/protocols to be adhered to in the revent of dismissal?

I'm sure we were responsible for the Hillsborough disaster too - I think I read in in the Sun next week

The chafing caused to the side of the head by a roll of Izal could be severe
-
Perhaps they're trying to make the pitch more like the dross we're going to come up against next season in an effort to get us playing better on 'those' pitches Why not just replace it with sand?

Good point on the programme & food and drink - it does offer some scope to adjust spending although its still more about the principle than the cost for me
-
The price of the ticket should be to cover the costs involved and a profit element. Booking fees are a rip off and always have been whether for theatre tickets or football tickets I feel a point of principal coming on and that invariably means I will be 'cutting off my nose to spite my face' and seeing less of Saints this coming season but I really begrudge being taken advantage of because I am a helpless fan. Living out of area I will be restricting my ticket buying to the odd occasion I am in the area and the ticket office is open. Still on a brighter note my local club Crawley Town will benefit from seeing more of me!!

Both wrong 6,078 according to their website

Doubt the ground still holds 5,000 - very pokey and not great for parking - largely uncovered away end with basic food - at least the last time they were in the conference.

Where will we be in June 2012?

Dissecting the latest conspiracy theory is my guess -
Some good examples above of APs style which I often find to be quite guarded - nothing wrong with that per se however it gives the media an opportunity to read something into it whereas it maybe nothing more than the style of response he is comfortable with in interviews, etc

No its the hallmark of Saints FC and its supporters and has been for more years than I can to remember! I still have every hope that NC will be successful in changing the culture that has grown up around the club in recent years

Isn't this part of the school curriculum these days - whatever are they teaching our youngsters now?!?
-
Nah UDA I think

Thats a good idea the club could hold a monthly raffle with the winner getting to manage the team for a month - could be a nice little earner given the number of people on here that reckon they could do a better job - £5 quid a throw should bring in enough to pay the players wages on a monthly basis

If P*mpey get wound-up on Friday :Poll:
Horley CTFC Saint replied to StuRomseySaint's topic in The Saints
If Pompey FC do ultimately fold there will eventually be an AFC Pompey looking for a ground - mind you could they afford the rent in the Wessex League?
