hi mate, i've just got back from a long weekend in pairs with my girlfriend (were both 19), we stayed just before Christmas and we stayed in the Latin quarter which is where the students are so theres lots of bars/restaurants and close to all the tourist locations and from the hotel we stayed in the notre dame is about a 5minute walk, we stayed in a hotel called hotel claude bernard which was pretty basic but had everything we needed and close to the metro station so could get anywhere easily. the hotel is especially good if your on a budget...if you book the eurostar in advance, and are flexible on times you can get a return trip for around £70 each... i would also recommend bateaux river cruise, theres a dinner cruise which you travel up the sienne with a very good meal and great service... hope that helps, if you wanna ask anything feel free to pm, i share this account with my brother as it wont let me make one with my email address so if it takes a while to reply thats why.

Not sure if its been mentioned, but Lambert started at Blackpool and was released. So I'm sure he will be up for it and if he gets a goal or two will boost his confidence which by then hopefully he will have back anyway.

You were saying?

WTF is up with Saints Player?

Bristol Commentator again: ''They seem to have everything, the defensive side to there game has been just as good as there attacking play today'' Is he really talking about us?!
-
True enough. A good double win Vs Swindon and Rochdale should sort that out though
-
Bristol Rovers commentator ''If its any consolation Rovers fans at least we wont have to play teams like Southampton any week, to be fair I think any team would struggle with them on this form... They really are head and shoulders above anything I've seen in this division''
-
I have us moving into second on the BBC predictor thing on the 18/09/2010 with 4 wins and a draw in our next 5 (the draw away at Swindon). No need to slit the wrists just yet folks!

Markus Liebherr RIP. All tributes here please.

Haven’t had chances to post until now. I was genuinely shocked and upset when the news broke. Of course, I never met Mr Liebherr but I will be grateful to him for the rest of my life for what he has done for my beloved Saints. My heart goes out to the Liebherr family at this impossibly difficult time. A year ago, when all looked bleak and it didn't look like Southampton Football Club would survive the summer I despaired at the thought of never being able to share any more moments with my Dad watching Saints play. It occurred to me that I might not be able to ever take my children to see Southampton play in the future. It’s not until you nearly lose something that it becomes clear just how much it means to you or just how much you care about it. He will never be forgotten, because what he has done transcends Football. By saving Southampton Football Club, he also saved all those precious moments... those moments of sharing, with your Dad, your Brother, your children, your friends... Those moments that so many people take for granted but that mean so, so much. Every goal scored from now on, every win, every promotion, every cheer; everything is all thanks to him. Thank you Markus Liebherr. Thank you so, so much. Thank you for giving us that wonderful day out at Wembley, thank you for securing all those precious future moments with loved ones at the games, thank you for saving our club. RIP -

I hope your right. I'm sure you are but until there is a denial and/or backing for Pardew then there will remain this doubt.
-
Ha! Agreed, actually that line didn't go into the email. I deleted it before sending. But I'd already copied and pasted it on here by that point...

Regarding the Pardew rumours... ''FAO Nicola Cortese Good day to you sir. Firstly let me start by saying the obvious and thanking you for the fantastic job you and your team have done so far. You have reinvigorated this old club, it feels fresh and new... it feels exciting and for the first time in years it feels like we’re moving in the right direction. I have thoroughly enjoyed this campaign and I can’t wait for next seasons promotion push to commence! I’m writing to you though with a certain degree of concern, I have read through certain media outlets that Alan Pardew is in danger of losing his job as Manager. In all honesty when I first read this I just assumed it was merely media hype, but I’m growing increasingly concerned because as yet there doesn’t seem to be any sort of denial coming from St Mary’s regarding this story. In fact I became very worried at hearing that ‘Southampton Football Club have declined to comment’. What Alan has achieved this season has been nothing short of fantastic. He has had to reinstall a winning mentality into the club; this for me is his biggest achievement. This club was one that accepted defeat; we had become used to it. But under Alan’s management the feel good factor has returned to St Mary’s. We believe we can win every game! If it wasn’t for the 10 point deduction we’d be going into the last game of the season with a realistic chance of being promoted automatically and finishing 2nd. That is remarkable for a club that only 12 months ago merely accepted defeat as par for the course. I truly believe that under Alan’s guidance this club will go from strength to strength next campaign. Please, I implore you, if there is any truth in this media hype, please give Mr Pardew the time he needs. Thank you for your time, and thank you again for everything you have done for this football club.''
