He wasn't as bad as everyone thinks. He got written off before he'd even kicked a ball and was being taunted and jeered within his first two games. He got far less time to shine than the academy boys that we retain year after year after year despite them clearly not being good enough (Sims, Gallagher, Hesketh, Reed etc) and then claim they "didn't get a chance" when we finally release them with half their careers gone.

Ivybridge (just outside Plymouth), Devon I usually get to 3-4 games a season but I don't drive so either have to rely on the wife fancying a trip to Southampton or public transport. Hoping to go and watch our B Team at Exeter in a few weeks though since it's only 45 minutes from me.

Was he actually regular first choice penalty taker though?

Yeah possibly the worst regular penalty taker we've ever had.

Depends who you ask. I seem to remember him getting a lot of stick and calling him a flop etc.

If we can convince him to view us as a stepping stone, he might. We have a reputation for not standing in players' way if a big club comes in with a reasonable offer and so I think we're very attractive like that. Plus, with his best years ahead of him, I'd say it suits United more to just let us take him for a couple of years so when they swoop, they'll have a player who already knows the league.
