b19 Huddersfield Town vs Southampton – SPORTS NEST Holding up so far but I've only had it on 10 seconds.

Any others? The one above just keeps asking me to confirm I'm not a robot but doesn't actually tell me how to confirm this.

He's had three good games for us in all comps. Leeds home Man City home in the cup QPR home That's it. If there really is any potential (which I'm doubting) he really needs to go out on loan somewhere to find it.

Admittedly, there are SOME games where ridiculous decisions happen and it alters the outcome. 99 times out of 100 the better team wins and both teams get what they deserve. That game may have been the one out of 100 and admittedly, I did think of that game. There was another one I thought of but can't remember what it was now but in almost 20 years, they're the only two times I've seen Saints deserve more than they got from a game. I actually didn't say the game against Arsenal wasn't one of those games, I simply asked a question. I didn't see the game and so I don't know what happened to make you think we deserved more. That's why I asked as opposed to disagreeing with you. Edit: Just remembered, it was the one at Arsenal under Puel where we got denied a blatant penalty right in front of the linesman and they went straight up the other end and got a ridiculous penalty given in their favour. Also edit: So was that the case on Thursday? Did we get a whole bunch of ridiculous decisions go against us? Again, I'm genuinely asking. Or was it just that we had a bunch of corners and shots that we pissed away? Because that's what fans usually mean when they say their team "deserved more".

I have no Earthly idea how you got that from my comment. I've been enjoying following the women's team more closely for the last couple of years. Absolutely bizarre take on my question.
-
What are you talking about? This has nothing to do with the gender of the players. I'm simply always curious about how a team can deserve more and not get it. The object of the game is to score the most goals. If you do that, you deserve to win. If you don't do that, you don't.
-
Why didn't they get it then?

Saints fan that collapsed at Rotherham game passes away
Bad Wolf replied to markr27's topic in The Saints
Yes. Although I think I'd probably take comfort from them doing something they loved as they died. -
Agreed but we WILL drop points against lesser teams. Just like every other team to have ever been promoted. It happens. Our fans just have a tendency to overreact when it does. The boo's at the end of the Rotherham games as an example.

Late goal Let in sloppy goals Defensively dreadful How come when the men do that it papers over the cracks but when the women do it the manager is linked with Chelsea?
-
Or any other season. They'll never let that happen to the little media darlings.
-
They'll be relegated on the last day, spend the next month appealing and the day before the fixtures are announced they'll announce the appeal has been successful and whoever survived on the last day will be sent down instead.

Name a better CB from a non top 6 club happy to be fourth choice for 8 years?
-
Possibly the best CB in PL history who was happy to be third choice at a midtable club.
-
Not really a defector but didn't know where else to post...Yoshida training with Saints due to LA Galaxy's midseason break!
-
What is our goal music? It's catchy
-
Thing is, he got to midtable with a Swansea squad that should have been bottom 3. They spend barely any money and they were one last day win away from the playoffs. Remember, he only had one year left on his contract and when we came in for him, they were in talks to extend it. It's all very well saying that he's had midtable finishes but it has to have a context. Thomas Frank has only had midtable finishes (PL wise) with Brentford but I doubt anyone would deny he's done an incredible job.
-
Don't think so. He just isn't very good. Even at this level, we purchased him off the back of a season where he got 22 goals but his two Championship seasons prior equalled 7 and 5 respectively. Before that he got 11 goals over two seasons in League One.
-
Agreed. If we're going to use this logic, can we not use all the times we "nearly" scored to our advantage? Remember in 2003 when we nearly won the FA Cup? Or 2017 when we nearly won the League Cup? Good times. Shame about 1976 though where we got away with it.
-
Good question. Gazza was quite good at playing it out tbf
-
I'd say he's our best ever keeper at distribution but then you have to take into account that he's grown up playing like that whereas for most former keepers, it wasn't really a factor.
-
If our manager was called Rustov Martinez, the feeling toward him would be very different.
-
Almost like he's a decent keeper isn't it?
-
I'm sure that'll be Bazunu's fault.

Sully having a mare. Take him off, put AA out wide and who to bring on up front....?
