The two questions/topics my humble brain always circles back to on the RM discussion is: * What is his primary responsibility at our club? - The answer is surely: to gain the maximum possible points haul. * Is he doing everything possible to deliver this this? The answer is surely: no. He's sticking to his principles/process, regardless of outcome.

Only just clocking this comment - suddenly I feel more positive. Really hope it's true. The Everton win was nice, but I don't see it as suggesting that it's all suddenly going to click. We were dull and ponderous for much of the game (in line with much of last season and this); only looked dangerous in the very few times we moved the ball forward quicker (which we almost never do in RussBall), and the defensive issues are still there.....a little luck, the crossbar and Ramsdale (who was excellent) got us over the line. I still believe this squad is capable of much more than they've shown so far. Hope the win does not change any decision that may have been made by the club. Get him gone.

Maresca had a few detractors at Leicester last season - went to Chelsea. Kompany took Burnley down (I don't know how the fans viewed him last season) - he went to Bayern. It's certainly not beyond the realms of possibility that a bigger club than us will look at RMs approach, want to play PBF, and decide he's their man. In fact, I absolutely believe that is what RM expects to happen. I really think that unless SR get rid, he'll take us down and then fuck off. And just had another thought......SR are all about player-trading. Surely they're not trying to be clever with 'manager-trading'? i.e. get some ££ for RM from a bigger club, rather than have to pay him to leave. I fucking hope not.
