I too believe Jahidi will start, it's most likely that S'born will get a game against Torquay. probably with Martin. Adkins will have to nurse Jahidi through games, making sure he can recover in between. He will miss several games, I hope we can get someone in soon before this untenable situation with our CB's costs us dearly. By then we will also be looking to replace Connolly, who, no doubt will be injured. Pessimistic? No realistic! We have had since the beginning of June to sort this out.. somewhere along the line someone has failed to make sure we have the best opportunity to get off to a good start...FFS

I would find that disturbing if it were true that both us and YB were keeping the actual fee from player. It is important to know how much a club is paying for you, as agents fees (payable by the player) and signing on fees are normally worked out as a percentage of the transfer fee. Even free transfers work on the basis of an estimated transfer fee.

Of course McCarthy will say that... heres what he said about two of his other players He said: “Mouyokolo does feel on the fringes – as do all of them who are on the bench. “But I have a squad of players and apart from the 11 who start on any given day, the rest all feel on the fringes. They’re all brassed off, frustrated and they think they should be in the team. “But there’s no chance of him or Dave Jones going" a short while after Mouyokolo has gone! Dave Jones has gone!

Heard it in Ipswich this morning, whilst visiting their academy at Bent Lane..apparently Ipswich are interested in him as well. They see us as potential rivals for him.

and editted! WE ARE MISSING SOMETHING HERE.. the full post actually said there will be a news conference today. IMO the post on the rumour site has been posted by someone who is not a Saints fan. AOC's spelling mistake and the general tone is that of someone that is plausible and knows a little of our club and it's dealings of late. It also speaks of a search for a keeper. here it is in it's full glory ..................................................26 Jul 2011 10:26:19 Nick Maynard is at Southampton this morning for a medical before signing a 4 year deal. Bristol City accepted the saints increased offer of £4.25m Tunisian center back, Jemal has already signed last night for £1.4m. Both will be announced at a news conference at 5pm this evening. Puncheon will be leaving for Millwall on a 3 year deal, costing the London club £480k. This will conclude all cash deals for Southampton, with Chamberlaine agreeing to stay for a further season. It's understood that Southampton have agreed they sell him if they miss promotion this season. Adkins will now concentrate on persuading Huddersfield to loan him keeper Smithies for the season with a view to purchase next June......................................... I sincerely hope you are all adult enough to make up your own mind, if not, 5 pm is not that long to wait.

Fonte's signing was a better feeling, as we were a struggling Div One team with -10pts at the time and he looked outstanding in the Championship with Palace.
